I was kind of hesitant to switch to this office because they aren't an PPO provider and I was always with a PPO Dentist. I switched to Deltacare HMO and took a chance with Dr. Nicassio and Dr. Nguyen. I'm glad I did because they are awesome! They're very gentle with you, always on time, and unlike some dentists... they DON'T try to convince you to get work done if you don't need it. Now I save about 50 bucks a month because I don't have to pay PPO premiums! :) Parking is always available and there's a Target across the street if you want to kill time (just in case you get here a little too early for your appointment. I love this office! Dr. Nicasio is a great dentist. I have long neglected my dental health due to finances and an unhealthy upbringing. I received zero judgement from Dr. Nicassio and his staff. They were so kind and understanding. Due to an insurance issue I ended up struggling to pay for a deep cleaning, but the office staff worked with me to pay it back in full without having to go to collections. I think they truly care about their patients and do right by them. I'll always go to Dr. Nicassio's office if I'm able to! read more

I have been going to Dr. Nicassio for 20+ years and refuse to go elsewhere. I trust Dr. Nicassio with my dental health and to perform procedures exceptionally well. I have had root canals at this office before and they make me feel very comfortable and the procedures are never scary. The front desk always takes care of me and is very thorough with the paper work and insurance. I live in Rancho Cucamonga which is about 1 hr away, but I trust no one else but Dr. Nicassio so the drive is worth it. Can't recommend this office enough. read more

Had my first treatment here with Dr. Nicassio and I'm blown away how amazing this office is. I've always had a fear of dentist so I'm really picky when it comes to finding a new dental office. The moment you walk in you are greeted with friendly faces and a warm homey environment. Everybody is super welcoming which helps calm the nerves. Dr. Nicassio is an angel. First impressions are everything and the moment he walked in he's friendly, welcoming, shows that he cares, willing to help, and genuinely a nice guy. I had some really messed up teeth and never once did I feel put down or embarrassed for the state they were in. He told me not to worry and that he would take care of me. Treatment 1 I needed a root canal and I was very nervous. They prescribed me a medication to calm my nerves which helped. But loved how caring and understanding they were of my situation. Every time I flinched or had some pain he would stop, ask if I was okay, and proceed. The whole procedure went by in a breeze and I actually walked out smiling. I love that they are upfront with everything too, they show you what you need, what cost are, and aren't pushy about anything. Thank you Dr. Nicassio and Staff! You guys are amazing! read more

Let me start with the good on Family Dentistry: 1. Visits are relatively quick. 2. Dr. Ralph Nicassio is very casual, easy-going. Here is the bad: 1. Scheduling with the staff can be a hassle. I had one appointment cancelled because a staff-member was absent (without an available time till a month later) and another shortened because the doctor was unavailable (and had to schedule a month later). 2. There are no e-mail or phone reminders for appointments. It's up to you, the patient, to memorize your appointment time and date. 3. Cost. I stopped being a patient after a cleaning in which the doctor made an extreme (and expensive recommendation). It was a complete 180 from my prior visit. I had a second opinion that came out very different from Dr. Nicassio's. When I contacted the staff, they assured me they would finalize everything with an X-ray scan that would properly determine everything. I took a day off work to visit and, instead of providing the X-ray, the staff member said the doctor saw no reason to and stood by his opinion from eyesight. Overall, I found Dr. Nicassio's staff to be woefully inconsistent in quality and never felt they cared about me as a patient. I was just a customer, an object to make money from. read more

OK, here we go! Dear fellow Yelpers, we have entered a time in our society where it is sometimes hard to trust some of our service providers. I mention this because over the past 7-8 years I have found it difficult to find a Dentist who provided an honest business. So many drilling for dollars, so few with an honest practice. That has been my experience. I am lucky enough to have a job that provides dental coverage and I take the time and due diligence to research and find a dentist. As it turns out, my research has not been enough. My last dentist was a drilling for dollars guy who presented me with a $1,200 dollar estimate each and every time I came to get my teeth cleaned. Which, by the way, he never got around to doing. :\ ...and then came Ralph. On the advise of a co-worker I went to the office of Dr. Ralph Nicassio In Norwalk. The building is non-descript and out of the way - on Imperial Highway right off the 605. Once you enter, however, you are treated to an modern medical office and attentive and pleasant staff. They worked to set me up with an appointment that fit my schedule and let me vent about my recent and unhappy experience with dentistry. After viewing my most recent X-Rays which the other dentist told me showed 7, that's right 7 cavities, all of which would cost me $45.00 each to drill - Dr. Nicassio informed me I had 2. Dr. Nicassio proved to be not only an decent, honest, convivial Dentist but he also took care of all my dental needs, drilling and cleaning on one visit for the price on my insurance schedule ($0.00 for me to pay) and not a penny more. After it was all drilled and cleaned he came in and sat down and we had a positive discussion about the current state of dentistry and I left feeling very good with smooth and clean teeth. Dr. Nicassio is a decent dentist but his office staff is very inconsiderate. I have been going there around 10 years and recently moved. My last scheduled appointment was in Dec 2017 and the office called and cancelled. I never re-scheduled. Apparently they have been sending me monthly statements due to a "missed" appointment and, since I moved, I never received the statement. Now I owe them $47.00 for a missed appointment that they cancelled! I called to resolve the issue and the office girl just said that I hadn't changed my address and that Dr Nicassio was in the office they day of missed appt, so basically I was lying. I said they could have called me, (since it had been 6 months) and she, very rudely, just said "we don't call!". I proceeded to tell her that I would be looking for another dentist and she said "ok, thanks" and hung up! Very rude! read more

I have been going to this dental office for many years and have nothing but good things to say...they send reminder cards for my 6 month cleaning...they really try and arrange an appt time & date that is convenient for me...and everyone is really nice. BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!!! trust me I have been to many other dental practices and no one compares. even though his office is no where near me, I never mind making the one hour drive here. I have been his client for many many years and let me just say that he is the nicest person in the world. the staff is so nice and helpful. The office ambiance is AWESOME!!! he has a different theme in each room and he also has these really neat ceiling panels that are so much fun to look at while you are getting your teeth worked on. Besides that I love my teeth I receive compliments on my smile on the daily basis and its all thanks to Doctor Nicassio and his great staff. I've been visiting Dr. Nicassio's dental office for about 4 years. I have seen both Dr. Nicassio and Dr. Nguyen. The front desk staff is so friendly, polite, and helpful. Both dentists take extra care when I come in for my 6 month visits. The dental hygienists are great as well. They accept Delta Dental insurance. I highly recommend this place! read more

Don't go! ! I cracked my tooth & was in severe pain. He had his office person tell me insurance wouldn't cover it. They told me it would be $550 out of pocket. I was so upset & in pain, I called my insurance company crying. They said not only was it covered, but they NEVER even tried to check authorization! ! What a scam!! Then they called me 3 months later asking when I was coming in. I told them I got it done the same day at a dentist that didn't try to scam me... $50 copay was all I had to pay!! read more

been coming here for about 10 years. top notch with routine exams/cleanings as well as more involved procedures (bridge, crown, wisdom teeth extraction, root canal). the odd but serene pastel scenery on the ceilings actually helps you keep calm and carry on throughout a procedure. read more
