My husband and I have been coming to this dental office for over 10 years and we are very satisfied with the care we receive here. We live over 15 miles away but we are okay with driving this distance to this office. Dr. Ky and Dr. Hong are the best dentists in this field! They are professional, knowledgeable, and have great bedside manners. Teeth-cleaning probably isn't on anyone's favorite list of things to do but this dental office somehow manages to make every visit a good experience for us. It is important and comforting to go to competent dentists you can trust. I came here for the first time. I got X-rays done. I was suppose to get work done. I thought it would be good because of all the Yelp reviews. But I received very negative service. The dental assistant had major attitude to the point where she gave me bad vibes. Im not sure where this was coming from because I was very polite to her. There was 3 occasions in the matter of a 45 minute encounter where she had attitude. You can tell she hates her job and maybe even new patients. There was one patient there and she was preparing the basics in a very aggressive manner. (Hostile) she began slamming them down all hard. So I got up to see what was going on and she comes up to me and asked "Do you have a question". Yes you give me bad vibes with your attitude and your hostile behavior. The receptionist Nancy was some what nice. However, she was yelling at a patient on the phone about their insurance and not having the ability to get the authorization. The dr. was nice to my face. But I couldn't deal with the dental assistant and her bad vibes. You can really tell she hates her job. She also mentioned when she came back from lunch, oh wow we have a crazy afternoon as referring to too many patients. They shouldn't have over booked. I walked out after explaining to the doctor who was very dismissive of the dental assistant behavior. Although I'm in some pain I just didn't feel comfortable with that dental assistant working on me. Like I said the Dr was nice to my face but I heard him in his office saying he didn't want to talk to me but Nancy told him just listen to what she has to say. More happen but I don't feel like going into anymore detail about the assistant's behavior. Her Mental Health is bad for Business! She needs to go out on disability. I needed to get my bottom wisdom teeth removed and I had been delaying the extraction for a while now. I'm scared of the dentist, but I found this place on Yelp. The reviews are right. This place is amazing. The staff whether if they're talking to you on the phone or in person are super friendly and remember who you are. I made an appointment for a consult and they immediately greeted me and explained the forms I needed to fill out. The place is in a tiny shopping center with the only driveway entrance on Newville Ave. You can't enter via Firestone Blvd so it can be a little tricky. They verified that my dental insurance could cover most of the extraction which was good. I didn't have to pay too much out of pocket. They offer IV sedation, so I decided to try it out to ease my nerves. The day of the appointment I was nervous, but they were very friendly and encouraging. The IV sedation was done through the arm and it completely knocks you out which is good because you don't get to feel a thing. You might feel a little pressure but it's not painful. I'm very happy that I found this place to get my treatment completed. Everyone who works here deserves gold stars because my experience went well. read more

Awesome dental office. I was recommended to this place by my late cousin and have stuck to this place ever since. We followed them from their last location. The office is always nice and clean. Everyone there is super friendly. The dentist is very informative about what they plan to do and are great with kids. They even have seating areas decorated just for the kids. They even offer sedation dentistry which is why my cousin recommended this place to me. I freaked out about having to be awake and having my wisdom tooth pulled out so I switched to this dentist right away. I love coming here and would definitely recommend this place to others. I am very skeptical about any new type of doctors I encounter. While searching on my insurance portal I was suggested to Dr. Hong. Right off the bat what I liked most was how easy it was to view available times to schedule an appointment online. I made my appointment for that same week. A day later I received a call to confirm my appointment. The receptionist are very polite and informative. As well as the dental assistants. I really love that Dr. Hong had a sense of humor to him. He took his time to hear my concerns and gave me insight on future care. He isn't your typical doctor who just comes in reads your chart, takes a look and walks away. The reason for my visit was for crowning due to my wisdom teeth. Turns out I had 3 wisdom teeth that would require removal and a cleaning. He did suggest we can move forward with the cleaning the same day or schedule everything at once. He had his staff go over the pricing and procedure process for the extractions. I had then decided to do have all the dental work done at once and schedule an appointment for the following week. Surgery day: Since I did decide to go through with the sedation you would need someone to drive you. We went over all the paperwork and signed off on what was needed before hand. As nervous as I was the staff and doctors both made sure I was doing fine and answered any questions I had. I do remember some parts of the beginning of the surgery but did not feel much pain. After waking up I was given my prescription for meds, finalized the payment for the work completed, and scheduled a follow up appointment for the healing progress. The reason behind my 4 stars was I wish I could have gotten more information for the after care of the wisdom teeth extractions. I wasn't really given much instructions as to how to go about the oral care. How often to use/change the gauze? How long before I can brush? Do I only rinse? Will the stitches dissolve or will they be removed? I was expecting to get some sort of take home instructions but unfortunately was not, and all though their website is very informative I was not able to find any after care instructions. I had a really good experience here, definitely would recommend. Background: I have no insurance, haven't been to the dentist since I was a child 6 or 7, now at age 24 had a lot of problems to fix. Erika at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. She was very prompt on email and phone. Dr Hong was really nice and went in depth with each tooth during my consultation, more than the other consultations I had. I had to pay for the consultation, but I think it was worth it. I went to several other people for consultations as well to compare in other cities too, sent several emails and walk ins, they were nice but the other offices prices were insane especially since I didn't have insurance. I decided to go here after all my research because they gave me the best prices and free iv sedation! Which was great because I'm really scared of the dentist, pain, drilling my teeth, and shots... Work I got done: I got 3 wisdom teeth removed, 2 crowns, and 3 fillings. Got my 3rd filling free probably because I decided to do everything and paid everything at once. It took a total of 3 hrs and I slept through the whole thing it was great. Mainly because I don't remember feeling any pain or discomfort during just sleepy and groggy post surgery. Post surgery I have very minimal soreness and little to no pain, I just try not to open my mouth too wide because the stiches and areas they worked on can feel a little sore. I do take half of my pain pills here and there to ease me because I get nauseous if I take the recommended dose. My face didn't swell up and I didn't cry in bed for hours like some of my other friends did post wisdom teeth extractions. I'm really surprise I'm not in pain and I think it's because the Dr did a really good job! Definitely going to recommend this place to anyone I know who needs work done and coming back in the future. read more

I am a dental coward after being tortured at another dental office, not to mention my horrible gag reflex. I have been coming here for 2 years or so, and I absolutely love this place! Just yesterday, my friend had an accident at the gym .... she busted her lip open and cracked her front tooth, half of it was gone. I contacted Dr. Ky and she responded quickly to me and asked us to come in at 9am, same day. Dr. Hong saw my friend and put her at ease, he fixed her tooth and stiched her lip all before noon. I came in to the office for a check up exam because I hadn't been to a dental office for over 10 years. I've always had a fear of the dentist from past experiences and I hated going. I figured that I'd better go because I didn't know what kind of condition my teeth were in. I try to keep them clean but there is always room for improvement... I saw Dr. Hong first and he thoroughly explained my xrays to me and also took detailed pictures of my teeth to show me exactly what was going on with them. After hearing all this I was thinking that I was going to walk out of the office with a hefty bill. One of the girls came over and went over all the pricing and at first I was confused because it was so cheap, I was like are you sure this is for everything? So I had them take care of it all. Dr Ky is the one that actually performed the procedure on my teeth. She could tell that I was super nervous and asked if I wanted to be sedated for the procedure but I decided against it and just took the needle, which also freaks me out. Dr. Ky was so great she put me at ease and she wasn't super rough like other dentists I've had in the past I didn't feel a thing the entire time, it was great. She took care of all my fillings and even replaced my older silver fillings with the white ones - awesome...
