One of the reasons I come to the Commons in Calabasas, is to visit a dining location or two. Sometimes, I stop by the Ralphs at this location to pick up something before going home. I can easily say, hands down, this is the cleanest and most spanky looking Ralphs. And I have been to a lot of them. The floors are spotless and shining. The aisles are spacious and not over clogged. All the displays are neatly arranged, with all the products polished and dust free. The lighting is perfect. See my pictures. Everything is sparkling and looks new. And a polite and helpful staff. Compliments to the General Manager and the team for doing such a superb job at this store. It is really a WOW place to shop. read more

Racist employee. I went there last night to get flowers for my mom on mother's day. Keep in mind, I was going to go purchase these things. I grab a paper bouquet holder and an older woman to who was in the self checkout area stares directly at me in a mocking tone and says "Ya know you gotta pay for that right." And I said I will, and she said alright in a mocking sarcastic tone. First off, what warrants you to think I am not going to pay? You see a customer browsing? And you say something like that? It is incredibly dehumanizing and disrespectful. When I went to checkout I could tell she was embarrassed and didn't stare at me again. I am not coming to this ralph's again. Probably the nicest Ralphs around. I discovered this one late in the game after the fires and Topanga Canyon Blvd. To PCH became closed. Ralph's in Malibu became a lot harder to access, Ralph's Palisades was toast, and Ralph's in Woodland Hills is always a zoo. It's just so damn crowded and so popular. I started coming to the Calabasas one when I realized it was about the same distance from Home as the one in Woodland Hills and I wish I had made that decision sooner. I think the prices are probably slightly higher and they probably don't have as many great deals as Malibu did because Malibu is such an infrequently visited store so they constantly had amazing deals. However this has got to be the nicest one by longshot. I've never been to a nicer Ralphs. Parking is easy and spacious because it's a Caruso development. It's easy to trip Link in because there's so many other wonderful stores nearby and adjacent. You can pop over to Sees Candy as an example. They have a lot of random ancillary kitchen items featured here too that you might find at bed Bath and beyond. Far more at this Ralphs unlike other Ralphs I've frequented. It's just incredibly well stocked. It's extra large and it just feels really good. I like the store a lot. read more

I was going to get potato salad for my family's lunch today and I was ignored by a deli worker named Alex, I waited patiently and asked to be helped and was ignored, after asking a 3rd time for help I was given a reply in the form a rude look and told to "Wait a sec man, i'll be with you in a minute" till I was helped by another worker entirely, a tall gentleman I didn't get the name of, but at this point I didn't even want the food I was astonished by the rude people hired at this place. Really sick and tired in fat bad meat a produce coming from Ralphs that past couple years. The Woodland Hills Ralphs was the worst, but the Calabassas one has always been slightly better. Yesterday I bought 2 pumpkins for my daughter for Halloween. One was rotten on the inside and the other one had maggots. I'm so fuming mad right now. Just an update to say that I'm back again (every week) 10/5 and Alexis is the employee that helped me with my pick up order. Was a rather large order. Minutes after I pulled into parking spot & punched the number in on the app, he was out with all my groceries. He informed me of item that was unavailable even though the app did as well, I still appreciate the added communication. He was very respectful and polite and loaded everything into car with care. Even went above and beyond and handed me the eggs to travel in the front seat to ensure they don't break. I've had great experience at this Ralph's with the staff and service. The employees I've dealt with have all been extraordinary! I want that noted. read more

This Ralphs has been going downhill for years and has reached a new low with aisles being blocked off to prevent looting. Hire a security guard! Consistently, only one manned checkout lane is open. Either you wait forever or are forced to self checkout. They hire workers to watch people struggle with self checkout (because we are customers, not employees!) rather than working a checkout lane themselves. Rick Caruso's Commons should be providing more for Calabasas. This is pathetic. read more

I stopped by to pick up last minute items. This Ralph's is located in a beautiful area. The Ralph's is very clean. I didn't need help locating my items but the employees that I walked passed were very welcoming. Every employee greeted me. The place was empty as I visited around 8:00am so there were no lines. There is plenty of parking available. I also noticed a sign for a DMV kiosk machine. Very convenient. If I lived in the area I would definitely take advantage of that and avoid DMV lines. read more

Update! 01/26/24 Again, no carts at the entrance! Why... because the carts are scattered all over the parking lot! Came to buy about $150.00 worth of items and no register was open. But the bag and scan yourself area was busy and full of frustrated customers. This is truly ridiculous! And the parking lot is super dark. The lighting is really bad. Nice, clean and organized store inside the Commons shopping center. Great location between the freeway and Calabasa hills. Pretty good variety for the neighborhood for all kinds of foods for whatever you are cooking. Been here many times. The Bistro/combo lunch/ Dinner is a great filling meal for $8. Choice of chicken, Fried, Baked, or BBQ to choose from and 2 sides, Mac & Cheese, potato wedges, Cole slaw, tuna salad, wings and other great selections. Quickly becoming the worst Ralph's I've been to in my life. More cameras than any casino I've ever seen, all the liquor is now locked up, and the first aid aisle is caged off with a separate guard. This evening I went to get a bottle of vodka and was told that only the supervisor Has the key and he's at lunch for the next 30 minutes. Go anywhere else. What the store should do is hire an armed guard and also hire someone that checks the receipt receipts like at Costco. Instead of inconveniencing their customers. read more

This is the most pleasant Ralph's to shop at in the area as it's the most clean newest looking location. It also seems larger than the other Ralphs in the area. Their sushi department is superior to the other locations as well. I got the Avocado Roll today for only 6.99 and I could literally eat it everyday. Compliments to the chef. There are fresh vegetables and lettuce. It's very healthy but filling. I also bought a Marie Calenders pie which was on sale for only 5.99! Incredible deal. There are tables and chairs out outside the Ralphs so I was able to sit and eat my avocado roll. The shopping center is scenic with pretty trees and a lovely setting. Very good service the associate at the self check made sure I had a bag right away instead of making me wait. Excellent! read more

Every time I come here, I swear it's the last time. Then I come back out of convenience and am sorely regretful. Last time, I went to get food and the deli was already closed at 5p on a weekend. I went there last night to get a bottle of alcohol. I spent 15 minutes walking circles, of course there's no one to help me (~9p). I couldn't find the bottle so decide to leave. On my way out, I see all the bottles are locked up on the wall past the cashiers. No signs and I think is a relatively new change. There are no cashiers, only someone at the self checkout line. Probably 35-40 year old taller lady with dark hair and an accent. She says she doesn't have a key and carry's on with her day. Literally quick answers and blowing me off. I wait - so who has the key. The manager. Blows me off again. Ok- so where's the manager? On lunch break. Blows me off. So when is the manager back. 30 min. Blows me off. So no one can help me? They don't have anyone else while the manager is on break? No. Blows me off. Terrible service. Just hurry up and go out of business. You don't belong in the Commons of Calabasas. I got sick two times in a row from their cooked food and cake.. very rare I get sick from food. and I thought it was something else that was putting me to sleep beside them.. and also partially swelling my lips.. I had chocolate cake and banana today as well as yesterday.. and something was knocking me out like someone drugged me .. I have been coming to this Ralph's when I was working in Hidden Hills. So far no bad experience. Staff are courteous and greets you with a smile (no mask by then). Store is clean, organized and shelves are fully stocked. Today, it is the same. Staff are nice and helpful. read more

Terrible service! No one ever answers the phone at this location and when they do they put you on hold and don't even come back! And funny that in calabasas you would think it would be so nice and have great quality produce and bakery and meat department ! My favorite Ralphs. The only downside is that as a middle aged woman I'm invisible, so it's a gamble walking from my car to the entrance. But the produce is good and they often have things that the Valley Ralphs locations do not. Plus, the clearance section is amazing. I've gotten Izze, Poppi, Kettle Chips, for amazing prices. It's convenient to TJs so you can hit both during your visit to Calabasas. read more

This location is very well stocked but it also feels a bit cramped compared to the other Ralph's I'm used to going. Luckily I've never been here when it was too crowded. I could see navigating the aisles could get difficult with lots of people there. Staff has also always been incredibly friendly and helpful. Even when I was bringing around 2 small children around who weren't in the best of moods, the employees were greeting me with a smile and helping me find what I needed as quickly as possible. Much appreciated. If I lived in the area, this location would absolutely be my go to grocery store. read more

Just came in on December 4 in the self checkout and not only did the woman running check out touch my shoulder from behind to get my attention that I just had surgery on and started freaking out because she was previously having a problem with the machine I guess even though it said open, and then after injuring me wouldn't even say sorry. Can't even find a manager on duty and they don't pick up there phones. Will be filing a lawsuit. She couldn't even apologize. Be careful of that woman. Hispanic prob in her mid to late 40s. How ridiculous that I have to take a photo journey through the store to get the sale price you see a box of cereal that's marked down from 399 to $1.99 but if you don't take a picture of it, you don't get the deal I bought my kids a squirt gun that said 2.99when it rung up at 7.99and I bought two of them my bill was quite a bit higher because I didn't take a picture of everything that I purchased that day. I got some expired gnocchi so I went back to return it in the same day with the receipt. I was nice about it until the cashier, Alma, immediately accused me of fraud (yes...over gnocchi). It's my OG hometown Ralphs...so how can I not give it all stars? Well a star gets taken away for the environment sadly. The store is maintained well, kept clean and has a HUGE wall section for La Brea Bakery breads. Deli is always clean and if you go early things look pretty fresh. They can bread, season and fry fish for you in the back for free...a staple when I was growing up. Honestly my only complaints about this place sadly are the people. Not having lived in Calabasas for years, you really realize how priveleged people seem to think they are there. Other customers are unaware or ignorant of the honor system in the deli line if the number system isn't applied. I feel like this is probably seen a lot in this city which in turn turns their employees to be unfriendly. Sad symbiotic relationship. From the deli workers to the cashiers, they are just not pleasant and frankly kind of rude. The parking lot sucks too. Be careful you don't get run over while walking or driving by the people who think they own the road in nice cars! Many (not all) of the cashiers at this Ralph's are rude. There is no excuse. I am always polite to them and leave frustrated more often than not. This has been going on for years. I will never wait in Rosa's line again! Today she made an error charging me, then berated me for not putting the heavy water on the conveyor belt! I had told her I had Arrowhead waters in my cart. It is not my fault she did not bother to look and assumed it was a pricier selection! To make an error is human; to berate the customer for your error is rude and inexcusable. I shop here sometimes because it is a convenient location with a decent selection but I often go out of my way to shop at other stores where the employees are pleasant. read more

So I'm a Ralphs fan... loyalist I suppose. But I expected more from this location in the chi-chi shopping plaza in Calabasas. The deli is small and no hot food bar and just a mini salad bar. The liquor selection was also small, though well-curated... of course, I'm completely spoiled shopping mostly at the Rock N Roll Ralphs on Sunset where they cater to an entirely different crowd. Nice huge clean organised Ralphs in the beautiful city of Calabassas. I used to shop and do inventories at the store many years ago. During the holidays we were visiting friends here. Starbucks and other coffeeshops nearby. The produce and deli areas has the freshest and best foods ever. I purchased to Potato salad and chicken strips here. Bakery has fresh baked goods. I usually go to a Ralph's in Van Nuys, however I work in the area Of this Ralph's and often stop in to get some super yummy sushi on my breaks. Unfortunately that's about all I can say I like about this location. The sushi is amazing. However. I recently went to see a movie and my boyfriend and I had so do some light shopping. While the store was quite empty because of how late it was, it was under stocked on many of the items I usually can get at my local Ralph's and disgusting. Dust everywhere the floor was decaying and chipped and you could see all the spider webs that had been made and had dust slowly collect on them. It make me physically uncomfortable. I work in an environment that requires us to cut payroll constantly we are still able to have someone dust when it's slow or sweep up. read more

The customer service at this Ralph's is horrific! Specifically Rosa the cashier and Rick the "manager"? I brought back one bad carton of milk, Ralph's brand, purchased yesterday and still full! It tasted odd so I returned it. I also then spent $70 On new groceries! Rick was visibly shaking when I said I didn't have a reciept for my Ralph's brand within expiration window milk. After i completed my purchase he handed me my new reciept to which i said i don't need it. He said I'm afraid i have to insist you take it since you brought back an item! I repeated no thank you I don't need it (my first return in a LONGGGGGGG TIME). He then threw it at me and turned to help next customer. I try to avoid this store and if I must use it, I avoid cashiers here and use self checkout. Why work with customers if you hate people and your job? read more

This is our closest grocery store to our home. We've been going here ever since we moved here 5 years ago. This particular location has really taken a turn. While the store is generally clean, it feels somber: there is never music anymore, the lighting is very dim, the shelves are often understocked/sold out of common items, and the staffing situation is dreadful. There are never employees any where to be found if you have questions or need something (occasionally you can sometimes find someone in produce.). The cashiers and deli service counters are sorely understaffed and just seem miserable. I recently asked one of the cashiers about what I had noticed, and if corporate was aware. He said while he loathed the previous manager, this one was even worse- and corporate "doesnt give a sh*it". You can see and feel the misery from the cashiers and its depressing. We're lucky that we have lots of options with competitors nearby, but wish corporate/mgmt would put some TLC into this location. read more

I was across the street at the Wells Fargo so I decided to stop in and get some groceries to replace what I lost due to the power shortage last Friday. This Ralph's is very nice big clean and friendly employees. My cashier Stephen was especially nice. They have lean cuisine's on sale for $1.88 so I had to stock up. It wasn't that busy which is a great thing. It's much nicer than the store that's in my neighborhood which is the Encino location. Great selection of halo top the largest in the valley. Will definitely come again when in the area. read more

I always have a pleasant experience at this Ralph's. The workers are SO nice!!! I come here a lot before work around 7am when they're stocking up the shelves and literally every single person greeted me! It's nice to feel a sense of community even at a chain grocery store. This location is preferred to me than the other Ralph's in the area because of how friendly the workers are and also that parking is usually not crowded. Everyone normally flocks to the one on Fallbrook or on Ventura but I've found that the Calabasas location is so much less crowded and more chill. read more

The newer manager Gina is the rudest person I have ever met. I asked a simple question where to find something and was treated like I didn't even exist. AS A CUSTOMER! She seems new to this location but is completely disrespectful to staff and obviously customers, I've also witnessed how she treats her "staff". I am in disbelief that this store would hire someone like that. I hope management looks into her actions & fixes things around or it will get worse for business. read more
