So much space indoors - and patio seating too!

All went well - as always! Service friendly, welcoming and attentive. Mid afternoon late breakfast with our daughter and our 5 month old granddaughter. Not busy but just enough people to create a little buzz and allow breastfeeding without anyone even noticing. Indeed Lovi's always has a pleasant ambience. Our pics for breakfast show our selections - yes we ate it all and enjoyed it... Of course we will be back (many times!!).

Lovi's is a longstanding Jewish style deli that can seat a ton of people in its dining room, bar and patio areas, and still has a line on most weekends. People love it here, and why not? It's sleek and modern, sparklingly clean and very well maintained. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and regularly checks on your needs even when at its busiest. It's a very well-run restaurant. On this occasion I arrived around 11:20am for an early lunch. I was flying solo, so I offered to sit at the bar rather than take up a table. I had forgotten just how well-stocked of a bar this is, and though I wasn't drinking at this time of day I was impressed by the selection: over 100 bottles of whiskey, bourbon and Scotch, and around 50 bottles of tequila plus all the other usual things. This would be a great place to watch a game on one of their many TV's and enjoy a few tipples. By the way, they even have a TV in the men's room over the urinal, so you won't miss any action if nature calls before the commercial break! Bartender/server, Naomi, was friendly as can be and took very good care of me, grabbing my order immediately and bringing me everything I requested very quickly. Total pro, and very pleasant. Alas, the food was a tad disappointing. On most occasions I order breakfast items, but this time I opted for a Pastrami on rye with a side of Macaroni Salad. The Pastrami was dry, and not particularly flavorful. I get the sense it may have been the last of yesterday's batch, and if I ordered the same sandwich 90 minutes later it may have been juicier -- but that's just my guess. The macaroni salad had the flavor of a mass-produced, commercial side that salt and pepper didn't even really help very much. In the end, there are places with better pastrami in the vicinity, so I'll likely stick to breakfast fare in the future. However, their enormous chicken pot pie is legendary, so I may stop in soon to give that a try with a nip of whiskey for good measure.

Amazing restaurant located in the heart of Calabasas. The food was amazing. We had gotten the tuna melt along with the chicken pot pie. Both were great options, but the pot pie definitely took 1st place and can be shared by two. The service was fantastic and the ambiance reminds you of a high end diner. I definitely will be back to try out other entree items. They have a really large selection to choose from!

Lovi's is great! Spacious, modern, clean, as if it just opened. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is delicious, we went for breakfast this time: chicken noodle soup, enchilada breakfast plate, chicken pot pie, crepes, latte, and coffee. The dining area is so nice and spaced out. There is beautiful patio overlooking Calabasas, there is a lounge for adults only, a bar counter, and private area for parties.

It's a cozy place. Love the relax vibes here. Everyone is very friendly. We were seated immediately and served with ice cold drinks. I ordered chicken pot pie, potato skins and chicken with waffles. Everything is delicious, the chicken is a bit on a dryer side, love the potatoes skins. And that huge chicken pot pie. If you are coming in for the pot pie, ordered it immediately, it took 25 minutes. Next time, I'm definitely gonna get a dessert.

I've been going to Lovi's for years and have always liked it, today - not so much. The fries were barely cooked -- soft, bland and completely unseasoned. The lettuce in the wrap looked old and wilted, and overall the food just didn't taste fresh. The wrap itself was warm, but the ingredients inside clearly weren't fresh. For $25 for a wrap and fries, the quality really didn't match the price. I tried calling the restaurant twice to let someone know and no one answered, no option for a voicemail either. Hoping this was just an off day, but it was honestly really disappointing

Nice spot to get sandwiches, hot food, bakery, and drinks. When I first heard that my friends had chosen to goto a deli for lunch - I was expecting something small and cramped. To my surprise this place is enormous and beautifully decorated with a complete menu to satisfy any needs (and reasonable pricing given the enormous portions). This is located in a perfect spot across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn Calabasas, with plenty of parking and friendly service. The food here was better than expected, which I attribute to ingredient quality and being served quickly from the kitchen.

I placed the order Saturday morning for 5 sandwiches via Doordash and they were delivered very quickly. On the Doordash app, you can only choose large size for most of the sandwiches. Only the Italian had the small option. That sucks as I was planning to order mostly small sandwiches, but this forced me to order mostly large sizes. All of the large sandwiches were $15.95, and the small Italian was $12.50. I also ordered two small cannolis for $2.95 each. The meatball sub was still hot when it arrived, and I was seriously impressed by the ginormous size of the meatballs. The bread was barely visible next to the meatballs! See my picture for reference. Most of my friends liked their sandwiches, but the person who got the hot pastrami commented that the pastrami was super bland. I tried a bite and I have to agree. Wouldn't recommend getting this. We each tried a bite of the cannoli afterwards. It was good as well, but I think I'm not a huge fan of cannolis in general. Would probably pass on them next time and stick to the meatball sub.

Ok. I've seen this place online and thought to myself "if I'm ever in Woodland Hills, I'm going…read morehere". Well.....today was the day. It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

The family vibe is very present and the impressive bulletin board (Cricca's Community) really brings out the neighborhood feel of the place. It's better than the yellow pages, offering everything from handyman services and guitar lessons, to divorce attorneys and mobile RV repair. But I digress. Did I mention how massive the sandwiches are?! I went with the two most popular items on the menu, starting off with the Al Capone (hot Pastrami, double meat, on crusty bread). This is an excellent sandwich, and the meat is pretty lean - not a lot of fat). I also ordered the Godfather (cold Italian Sub - Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, Capocollo, Salami, Pepperoni, Swiss Cheese and Provolone). Also, delicious. You rarely get turkey and roast beef in an Italian sub - so good. The service was very friendly and helpful. There are a few indoor tables, in case you can't wait for that first bite. I wish I lived closer so I can visit more often; I would be here all the time. Definitely one of the best sandwiches in LA. If you haven't been to Cricca's, then you don't know sandwiches.

They must have recently completed an interior/exterior renovation finally, it's about time! One of the reasons why I was ordering is cause I couldn't stand being inside. My experience yesterday dining-in was a better environment. However, the place was practically empty. I'm pretty sure I know the reason why. It cost me $69 for a half sandwich soup combo, and half a pastrami sandwich with a side of chopped liver, and a hot tea. The tea plate was very thoughtfully appointed: hot water container, cup, honey, lemon, and a good quality teabag, served on a stone plate. My half pastrami sandwich was quite divine, the Ryebread was very fresh, but there was a little bit too much fat on the pastrami. The coleslaw was a little bit on the older side. And the chopped liver matched the expression on the waitresses face, it also was served without any bagel chips, crackers, or rye bread, nor was I asked if I wanted any of those items as typically you spread chopped liver on something! Their napkins are literally like using rough bad paper towels. I believe their utensils are oversized. My guest was extremely doted on, the waitress said that she was making it a half sandwich and soup combo, but I don't think that's what I was charged. How can two half pastrami sandwiches, a bowl of lentil soup, and a small scoop of chopped liver with a cup of tea come to $69??? My experience coming here in all my years is that the place was extremely packed- any time I came. Even my next-door neighbor who lived on the block for over 50 years would come here weekly. They used to have almost the best matzoh ball soup on the planet, not so much anymore they've changed the formula. The matzoh balls used to have flavor and be soft. I make a mean matzoh ball soup, and when I'm not feeling well, I used to buy it from here to nurse me back-to-health- Nature's remedy. But not so much anymore. their chicken soup had become the price of liquid gold. When I told him I would be leaving a bad review he said he would be removing it!! I've been a Customer at this restaurant for over (28 years). I placed an order through the UberEAT app to be picked up at the store for my lunch today. Despite having a receipt that the items were paid for there was no order for me to pick up at the restaurant. When I asked to place another order as I was running late for work, I needed my lunch, the manager was going to charge me more money than I had paid on the app!!! And then finally told me that he's not placing the order for me that I can do it through the app!! He also refused to give me his name. Hopefully that person doesn't work there anymore. If so, buyer beware, stick to ordering directly with the restaurant to save yourself a nightmare!!!! this guy, if he's still there, sent a 32 year old customer away from the store without any lunch and made her late for work!!!!!!!!
