So I am giving all the stars to ONE employee here and his name is Sayeed! When I came in to pick up dry ice, I had spoken to him on the phone, he took the time during a busy 6pm shift to make sure there was enough. I arrived there soon after but every person there ignored us standing at the desk.. three different employees walked past me and my son completely ignoring us when I finally spoke up and asked for Sayeed who was really busy helping other customers. He seemed to be the ONLY ONE there that actually took the time to care and put the customers first and was really knowledgeable and gave us extra tips on how to make those dry I've packs last longer. A very thoughtful and attentive employee and seemingly the only one that evening taking care of everyone that he could get to. Thank you Sayeed! read more

Sorry Albertsons. I love this store but seriously?? I came to shop and also to buy a sandwich during LUNCHTIME. One of the deli workers (was she the manager perhaps?) told me they weren't set up but that she could set up if I gave her 15 minutes. No lettuce, no tomatoes, etc. she pointed me to the ready case. I was not happy about this whole situation. And I could tell that she just did not want to put herself out. I bought two items from the ready case and they were simply horrible. Not fresh at all. I've been coming here for years, and I swear it's seen more of me than some of my relatives. One core memory: during the Palisades Fire, the power completely cut out while I was shopping with my daughters -- full-on blackout. Initially had a poor experience at this store when needing assistance in the floral department. The woman working floral this day was not very friendly, and I almost left altogether because of her. Unfortunately not too many other floral options nearby so didn't have much of a choice. However, Patrick, the manager on duty really changed things. I've been going to this Albertsons for awhile so it's about time I review! They actually have pretty consistent deals either offered automatically or through app coupons. So make sure to check those and save some $$$. Produce seems fresh and have found lots of pretty gorgeous avocados. On occasion, some of the plant based meat options can be low in stock or out of stock but hey that just means they are super popular and I love that! Plus I usually find a back up that's doable. Service at the checkout counters and self checkout is absolutely wonderful! Everyone I've encountered has always been helpful and smiling and all that great stuff. I've also picked up a few prescriptions from here. Service at the pharmacy isn't as good in comparison but nothing horrible or anything. Also make sure to check their hours- they close for lunch. The Starbucks inside is hit or miss. So often there's no one there. But there's an actual Starbucks in the same shopping center so if you're looking for a pick me up it's just across the way. The store is clean, well organized, and honestly never too crazy busy ;) Great parking situation - always plenty of spots available in a large lot. read more

I have shopped at Albertsons for 15 years and most folks that work there are pretty great. Tonight I went to purchase 4 Dicks gift cards. The young man that checked us out was wonderful. Two of the gift cards did not work. The manager, Josefina, refunded two and told us we'd have to check the others by scratching the PIN and calling to verify. I explained it was a gift and that was not acceptable. When we asked her to return them all, She said it was our choice to buy them and take it up with the number on our receipt if they don't work. I was absolutely shocked. As a career sales professional and a thoughtful human being, I cannot imagine treating a customer that way. I am disappointed by this experience and by whoever trained Josefina in the "customer service" department. read more

I want to give a shout out to Albertsons, particularly this store. Today was daylight savings and I did not turn my clock back... I got to the store I'll say around 645 and really it was 545am!! But they had the doors open for us early risers who forgot to turn the clock back. The store is always clean... and the bakery is heads and shoulders above some of the other chain stores, like Vons I love the 4U deals --- I work that app like nobody's business! They have very helpful employees in each section that they oversee. And I love it when a Starbucks deal comes out on the forU app and I can end my shopping session with a nice dessert like cup of fancy coffee. I drive from Westlake Village to shop here and it's worth the drive! I found it out that one of the barista's in the Starbucks café has been a barista for 23 years... Wow, that's commendable. So if you go to the Starbucks, you know you're going to get a great cup of fancy coffee. Kudos to the managers and employees that work here. read more

This is a review for the Pharmacy and one specific pharmacist (skinny, white dude--yes, I said it because he is rude and I have to wonder, given some of the other reviews from POCs), Spencer Brown. I went to Urgent Care today at 10:30am. When I was discharged at 11:00am, the doctor told me that I had 3 prescriptions that he would call into the pharmacy right away. Cool. Albertsons is NOT my preferred pharmacy but it is in the same city as my neighborhood whereas my preferred pharmacy is not. Seeing as how I was at Urgent Care, I just wanted the medicine quickly. Since it usually takes some time to make all of that happen, I went home and took a nap after my appointment. I had another appointment that afternoon and decided to stop by Albertsons pharmacy on my way to grab my meds. I thought my plan was pretty good. How wrong I was. Never again. At 3:50pm, I stand in line and wait my turn. When I'm up, I ask for the medicine. The cashier looks. She can't find it. Asks the pharmacist for an "urgent fill". He tells her it's going to be 30 minutes she repeats the message to me. Out loud, I say, "Oh, I'm surprised by that." The pharmacist hears and retorts, "Well, you shouldn't be." Yes, yes, it was a retort. Feel my blood pressure rising right now after his comment. The cashier wasn't rude and neither was I. I wasn't yelling. I wasn't angry. I was bewildered. My Urgent Care visit discharge was at 11:00am. This was almost 5 HOURS LATER. It still wasn't ready and, when asked about it, it moves to the "urgent" category, delayed for another 30 minutes--which I didn't have. This dude, who is an absolute BLOWHARD with zero, ZERO customer service skills, proceeds to medically mansplain how the process works. Our conversation goes a little something like this. Him: You shouldn't be surprised because unless you call it in and tell us its urgent, it goes into a queue of a couple hundred people and we get to it when we get to it. Thirty minutes to fill 3 prescriptions is like really fast. Me: Umm, so you're saying that I, as the customer, had to call in? I didn't know I had to call it in as urgent." In a moment of sheer, unmitigated condescension, walking backwards as he walks away shrugging his shoulders, he offers this final retort, "well, now you know." I have never wanted to go SCORCHED EARTH on someone so much but I did not have the time. I did ask for the Manager--who was off-duty--and got the number for Corporate CS. Spoke to a lovely woman on the phone but, since I was in the car, of course we were disconnected before I could finish the complaint call. A few things to mention here-- 1). If I had walked into the pharmacy at 11:05, I could see him being annoyed that I would expect my meds to be ready. Again, 5 hours later, this was not the case. 2) I.went.to.URGENT CARE. I didn't forget to call in my acne medication. There's no internal expedition process? Wild. 3) If the Urgent Care team had forgotten to call it in, again, it happens and I can almost promise is THAT were the case, I would have told upfront. UC did not forget. They called it in when they said they would. Albertsons apparently did not make the connection that it was an "urgent" request when an Urgent Care facility called it in. 4) Speaking of calling it in, according to dude, while he was doing his best to shame me, I had to call it in. The implication is that it was MY fault my medication wasn't ready. Ummm, no. I didn't treat myself. I certainly don't have the ability to call in any medication nor any RX forms from the doctor. 5) His language that I "shouldn't be surprised" is ridiculous at best as it does not match the explanation. Instead, it assumes that what he is explaining is commonly-held knowledge. The average person knows and I am the anomaly. Pretty sure most people do not. Plus ... 6) The information he shared wasn't even relevant. He basically gave me a BS answer from start to stop, adjusting the timeframe to suit his needs. I think the UC facility did call it in. It got buried (which happens) and when I showed up, it was easier to speak to me like I'm an idiot and pretend that doing his job was doing me a favor. Do I believe that filling 3 medications in 30 minutes is fast? Sure. Again, if I had showed at 11:05 and been huffy, I could see him sharing that information. 5 hours later, um, no. So, to recap, if I were to end up at Urgent Care again, according to this fool, it is MY responsibility call in the medication as urgent because there apparently is no way to make that natural connection from the UC staff themselves. That, like, people in Urgent Care need their meds a little more urgently than, "we get to it when we get to it." If you Google Albertsons Pharmacy, the average rating comes up as 2.5 stars. I absolutely see why. I am going to get my medication. I will never, never, ever patronize (ironic choice of words) this pharmacy again. read more

Just wanted to review Albertsons/Sav On for the Exceptional Customer Service I received! I took my 84 year old Dad to Sav On inside Albertsons to get his first Covid Shot. My Dad was extremely anxious since this was the first time he had been in public since last February. The Compassion shown to him by Mera who administered his shot was meaningful and greatly appreciated!! I also did some shopping and appreciated the Excellent service on I received at the check out by two young clerks. The smiling, positively cheerful cashier was named Kay. The first thing she asked me was "How my weekend was going?" And it seemed kind and sincere. The other young woman was the bagger, and I regret I didn't get her name, but she was petite with a streak of color in her short hair. She asked me for my cart and of course "paper and plastic" and made she I was on my way quickly. This was on a Saturday. I recently tested Albertsons. My last review was negative because they rarely have anybody available in the store to help find a product. This is still the case. But I think its important, during these covid times, that people share those businesses that do or do not support a healthy shopping environment. This Albertsons when compared to other local markets does not take the equivalent precautions. They do not wipe down shopping carts, they do not provide wipes or hand cleaner. Though they do have empty cartons - always empty - cartons of wipes. So I wish I could shop here as it is the closest market to where I live. Sadly, this place is my last choice. This pharmacy would've been very convenient for me despite the fact that she thinks she's a dr and discriminates based on who you are and what your medications are. This woman will withhold your prescriptions on the day they are ready. She has wayyyyy too much power. If you see their pharmacy reviews you'll understand. Or just stop in she's impossible to miss with her fake voice she puts on for half of her customers, steer clear. She will also never leave as she gets enjoyment out of making people suffer. If you're already using this pharmacy I suggest you also vacate as she will get as involved in your personal life as she can. This store has been a life saver for me. I am a private chef for a location in Calabasas and Woodland Hills. I have been placing my online orders 3 to 4 times per week, and sometimes two orders per day. The gentleman that picks my orders daily does an amazing job. She goes above and BEYOND for her patients.. she's always so patient and will take time out of her busy day to help you in anyway she can .. This is my rating based on the service deli. I have NEVER had nice or good service at the deli counter and it's very sad. Albertsons just spent a lot of money redoing the store, bringing in higher end items and it feels clean. With all the interior change, to keep irritable people behind the service deli tells me they are only worried about esthetics. What happened to great customer service? I stop here pretty frequently as my family and I like to cut through this route to get to the ocean. We stop here for water and some light snacks to take with us on the drive. The store is always neat and clean. I have needed assistance before but wasn't able to ever find anyone who was available to help. It wasn't that the store associates were busy but it was mostly that the only store associates that I saw were the ones working the check out areas and not throughout the store at all. I needed some assistance this last time that I was at the store but I wasn't able to find anyone. I ended up being able to find something similar to the product that I was initially interested in and it would just have to suffice. The only difference was in the brand. Whatever. I still do NOT know why it is so hard to find anyone to help you but luckily that hasn't caused too much an issue yet. I know that I'll stop in as this is the most convenient grocery store to stop in on the way to our destination, but I hope the store manager can somehow get the employees to be more visible and more helpful. One other thing that I noticed, not all shoppers are being made to be Covid compliant. And really, why would they be? There aren't any store employees around to remind these shoppers of the government mandated face mask coverings. I can see why they're pushing their luck. Sheesh. Bakery staff is rude, incompetent, and totally unprofessional. I asked for a simple order, and the person answering the phones clearly had challenges understanding a simple order, and I asked multiple times to speak to the rude woman with whom he was trying to convey my request. When she finally got on the phone, she was completely rude, lacked professionalism, and demonstrated a severe lack of customer service. It's a headache everytime I go there. There is a checker named Ray who always makes mistakes and clears the total before the phone number and have to be rang up again. Yesterday was the 4th time in a row and she just makes excuses that it's my fault. Dan is amazing and witnesses this several times. Pleaae train your employe Ray to ring correctly. Now before you get mad at me for giving a grocery store a bad review , this is specifically for there hot food section. I usually go there for lunch and the food is usually really good : I get a fried/Oven chicken breast with a scoop of potato wedges. Staff is usually friendly but today I had an encounter with a lady who gave me a really bad experience. This is what prompted me to write this review. Lupita is her name. I just finished purchasing a few items at the self check out. On my way out I noticed it was pouring rain so I ran back to the lady to ask for one more plastic bag for my sushi since it was in a brown bag and would get drenched. Lupita laughed at me saying "that's 10 cents". I thought she was joking bc I just purchased everything and was holding all my stuff but no, she was very serious about getting her 10 cents. Of course I don't mind to pay 10 cents, it was the principal that she made me pull out my credit card again for such an insignificant thing. I smiled nicely and said no problem. Put all my stuff down (including my half eaten Starbucks sandwich), and paid for one more plastic bag for 10 cents with my credit card. We've been shopping at this store for years, it's our local market, and have had some less than stellar experiences there, but we never really made a big deal about what amounts to some spotty at best customer service, because oh well. And to be fair, it's important to note that the checkers there, every one of them, are wonderful, courteous and very cool. Even in this whole pandemic , they show up and are nice. No complaints at all about the checkers. But allow me to share today's final straw which was, as usual an experience with certain people at the deli counter.. So, I go to the deli counter and the guy back there is one who's never ever friendly or courteous. I tell him I want an 8 piece dark meat habanero chicken. I see that there isn't enough in the tray, but usually the person will say there's more coming out soon, or can I give you the breasts and charge you for dark? Something along those lines. He just starts putting regular baked chicken in the bag. I said I wanted habanero and he literally says to me, "I know. Can't you see there isn't enough?" I just stared at him for a second and then I said, "you're very rude. You can keep the chicken." Then I asked him his name and he walked away from me. He actually turned around and walked to the back. I asked the other guy there what that guys name was and his words, verbatim were, "I can't tell you that." What the actual F?!!! I sent a feedback form to Albertsons customer service. I won't be going back there. Ever. That was the last straw. read more

My cousin went in today to pick up some items along with some cold medicine. He went to self check out and when the screen beeped when he scanned his Theraflu a cashier came over and explained he couldn't purchase that item unless he was 21 (the law is you cant purchase unless you are 18. We called the store and asked, and were told 18 was the law and the policy) he is 20 and didn't really know any better, but believed the cashier and said he would go get something else. She checked his ID but never typed in his birthday into the system which would have released the item as he is old enough to buy it. He went to the cold section, looked around, but didnt see anything else he wanted so he returned to the check out and paid for the rest of his items. When he was leaving the cashier approached him and insisted he stole the medicine even though she kept the box he originally had after denying him sale of the item. She insisted that he had to have taken something since he went back there. He told her she was crazy and took the things he paid for and left the store. She followed him out the whole time accusing him of stealing something and took a picture of his license plate. Sounds to me like this lady saw a young black man and assumed he was going to steal something even though he paid for all the items he had in his possession. This is at minimum harassment, but more realistically it is racism, both are completely unacceptable. read more

Went to the Calabasas location at 10:22 AM this morning to get some salmon and there was none in the case. As a matter of fact there was a person just packing ice in the fish case so I waited and another person walked behind the meat counter while I continued to stand there. Neither asked me if I wanted any help, so I asked the one packing ice if she had any of the fresh salmon. She asked how much I wanted and I said about this much and she replied "about a pound". I said okay and she came back with one piece of salmon stuck it in a bag, weighed it, wrapped it and handed it to me. I never saw the fish I was buying, but I did ask if it was fresh and got the reply "It's always fresh". I went to the open fish case so I could choose the salmon from the display, I had no idea that one piece would come out and be wrapped before I could see what I was getting. I bought it took it home and I am quite disappointed as the salmon was quite strong smelling, had a very fat belly so I had to trim a good portion away and cook it today as it would have never kept until tomorrow. I'm not sure why the fish wasn't on display today, perhaps someone called out. However your lack of service, made me rethink my choice of where to go next time. I've shopped here several times now, it's on the way home from work and super convenient. The overall shopping center is well maintained. This particular store is usually never crowded and the parking lot is nice and big! When it has been a bit on the busier side...people shopping here and the workers are still pleasant! Not like other stores in areas Ive shopped. The parking lot is kept clean of shopping carts. Like you don't have to squeeze by other autos and worry about parking stall spaces. The inside of the store is clean and has big isles! The staff, including the checkout, the deli, and people stocking various isles, are always helpful and kind and seem genuine. This store was truly a disappointment. From the outside it looks nice and very big. But, they were out of stock on everything!! Produce was either old as can be or out of stock. Motivated by wishful thinking, I'm writing this review in hope of significant change to this local supermarket. Albertsons within Creekside Village in Calabasas is in desperate need of an overhaul. It's 2018 and the bar for supermarkets is high, especially for such a prime location. The experience and quality here is 20 years behind. Among the list of required changes, this market is in desperate need of a self-checkout option. Regardless of crowd size, customers are waiting far too long during checkout. The service experience is similar to the DMV, with employee enthusiasm to match. Additionally, and despite the customer traffic, the majority of the packaged foods, including some produce, are often spoiled. I've thrown out ready made sandwiches and even (packaged) chocolates shortly after purchase. An update is welcome and long overdue. read more

This Albertson's is honestly the best I've seen. Everything is showcased very well, with all labels facing forward. But, more importantly, the service is fantastic! Patrick went out of his way to make sure I got the vegetable medley I was looking for. He had someone make up my vegetables on the spot.
