I come here about 1 to 2 times per week. The location is great. Its the Commons, cant get much better. I would give this place a 5 star if it wasn't for the poor attitude of the employees. The checkers and baggers always seem to be in a bad mood. Ive never seen management. Again I come here 1 to 2 times per week! Usually is pretty clean and stocked well. You can also catch some good sales. Be careful in the parking lot. You might get ran over by a luxury SUV. read more

I thought it was pretty much a typical Ralph's which is an OK store until I saw someone in the produce section with a dog in their cart (yes! In cart with groceries and where other shoppers put their food ). I told the manager and he said "Oh they shouldn't do that" and laughed and walked away doing nothing. I guess the health code means nothing at this store. Oh well I will shop Somewhere else from now on. Too bad. read more

If you live in or near the west valley, this Ralph's is THE BEST and worth a little drive. I can honestly say this location is the only one that always has everything stocked and the store is large with plenty of parking. It is always kept beautifully clean and arranged and is a joy to shop in. Prices can be moderate to expensive depending on what you are after, and they frequently have great deals. Another plus is that the staff is always very nice and friendly unlike some of the other markets I have shopped in. Since moving to the west valley a year ago, I won't go to any other Ralph's out here. read more

Great place! Located in The Commons in Calabasas it's convenient and clean. We have been here several times over the years whenever we are in town and always find the items we need. When we were there today the front end manager was super nice along with the other employees. You may even bump into a celebrity while in the wine aisle! read more

This is a great Ralphs, and a great market in general. Like others here have stated the store is always clean and well stocked. I like the deli section in particular, as they have all kinds of foods you can pick up ready to eat if you do not have time to cook that night. Also they do have a very courteous staff which can really make all the difference. read more

I needed sushi for a fundraiser, and decided to visit the sushi department at the Ralphs in the Calabasas Commons, as it's in my neighborhood. The manager, Ken was very pleasant and helpful as I made my selection of 200 pieces of mixed vegetarian and fish sushi. I needed packages of a certain size for an ice tray during the festivities, and he knew exactly what would work for me. My order was ready on time, beautifully prepared and he included chopsticks, ginger and wasabi decoratively piped into a bowl ready to serve. I would definitely recommend Ken at the sushi department for your sushi needs. read more

I went to Ralph's yesterday to buy some food for the Jewish holiday. It was URGENT and necessary that I picked up a specific Molasses (Grandma's) for my baking. I asked several cashiers and they all just threw numbers of aisles at me. I looked long and hard and found no molasses by the brand of Grandma's. I was devastated and lost all hope, when I went in line without it, until a very warm, young girl, Kat went out of her way and lead me to the right aisle where the molasses with the brand I was looking for was, AMAZING. I was so delighted to receive such good service from a young employee, because that is very hard to find most times (as many teenagers care more for the money, rather than providing good service). I do like shopping at this Ralph's because it's so neat and clean inside the store. Not much else to say it's a large chain owned by a national company (Kroger I think) but this location is in a very convenient location. Only downside is the parking lot can get a little crazy after 5pm on weekdays when people are trying to grab things on their way home and the Commons starts to get busy. read more

The store is VERY clean! The service is typically very friendly. I had a very uncomfortable experience with the workers in the service deli today that made me pretty upset. I went over and asked for a small order of sesame chicken. The clerk asked me how many pounds I wanted. I said I wasn't sure and asked if I could get the smallest bowl they offered. He walked over got some tongues and handed me a piece of the chicken (for a sample I was guessing. I told him I wasn't asking for a sample just a small bowl. He walks away and goes and says something in Spanish to another clerk that was behind the counter. The other clerk looks me right in the face and bursts out laughing. When I realized they were laughing at me, I just told him I changed me my mind and walked away. As I walked away he said something else to the other clerk and they began laughing even harder. I'm still not sure what was so funny about my not knowing what size I wanted to order. When I reported my experience to the manager she was very apologetic and polite. I will still shop at this store in the future, I will probably just stay away from the deli area! read more

For the holidays I received many American Express and Visa gift cards. Since I know they sell them at Ralph's I decided to stop by to get the cash. I waited patiently in line while the cashier rung a huge transaction, people behind started to get impatient. When it was my turn I asked if I could get cash for these gift cards and she looked at me and said in the rudest tone making me look so stupid "You can never get cash for gift cards. Everyone knows that." I wouldn't have asked for the cash if I knew that! The customers behind me laughed and not only was I embarrassed I was enraged at the fact someone in customer service would talk to me like that. I walked out of their so quickly I wish I could have gotten her name and reported her rudeness and disgustingness. I hope I NEVER get her as my cashier again! read more

The Albertsons on Las Virgenes is closer to me so I shop there for everday things...but when I want top quality CHOICE not SELECT meats I always go the Ralph's at the Commons. The quality of the produces and the meats is so much better than Albertsons. That particular Ralph's is also beautiful if a bit dauntingly large inside. The extra aisles for housewares make it a great place to pick up hostess gifts, too. The parking is easy. The Commons is truly luxe and I don't consider it to be nouveau riche; it expresses understated elegance, not phony flashiness. It's a nice place to go and wander about. Back to the Ralph's, once I stupidly left my purse in the cart in the parking lot and they retrieved it and kept it for me - everything intact. I was very grateful for their honesty. read more

Very dissapointed to have bought meat that was red on the outside, but grey and rancid on the inside. The sale date was good, had another day left on the sale by date, but the meat was bad and this has happened to me twice at this Ralphs with meat that was marked down. There is not point in paying less for meat you can't use. Otherwise the store is very nice and the staff are friendly. read more

I used to like Calabasas Ralphs. It is a newer, bigger store. BUT ever siince they put in "Self " machines, they offer very few human staffed check out lines. This afternoon, there was only 1 express and 1 regular open. To make it worse, there was a female employee standing over cashier areas, telling shoppers which of the 2 lines (15 items or less, or regular) to line up for. Of course, I got 18 items and got stuck behind a person with 60 items. Why do we need a person telling us where to line up? That employee should be bagging or cashiering instead of babysitting the lines. I will go to VONS from now on. read more
