Lily and the service deli is the true epitome of customer service. My boss gave me a last minute task to feed 50 employees. The only place I could think of that was cost effective and close to the job was Ralph's. I called in to the service deli to place a large order for fried Chicken. I expected to hear I'm sorry but you have to give us 24 hours. To my surprise and delight an Angel was on the other end of that phone and her name was Lilly. Lilly said normally they do need 24 hours for large orders but she said she would do it for me this time. I have to also mention that I have her a 2 hour time frame. Lilly saved the day and she was so pleasant from beginning to end. Great customer service . read more

I really like this store. It's still grocery-chain, yeah and all that goes with a corporation, but I actually know some of the people there, and they know us! It's nice, and I rarely say that - I'm pretty shy and like being unknown/invisable, mainly. They have a really excellent selection of items, though a bit low on Indian ingredients for my taste, but a lot of good southern and soul options, along with the produce to match. And they have Scrapple! Same with Mexican foods and of course the basic U.S. goodness and crapola :). Also, their deli area is very complete, hot and cold items, meals and sides. And the ones I have tasted have been really good. I also have noticed that the higher-ups are just as kind as the "regular workers." I can't say the same for other stores anywhere near as often. One (truly, I've seen them more than one time there; "corporate" that is) exception however, clearly management was visiting one day, and truly, the whiter and more stuffed the shirt, the less they see the actual *patrons* of the store. Ralphs has less of that from what I have seen then other ::::cough-Vons-cough:::::::::: major stores - but take a lesson :) ...and keep the long beans, ok? Thanks! read more

My previous comments still hold true to this day. Ralphs REALLY needs to step up their check line game. That is the ONE thing that Stater Bros has over this store... at Stater Bros, you never have to do any work; they take care of it. You are a customer and nothing more. Nearly every time I come into Ralphs, I'm expected to do at least some of the work... whether its the cashier getting grumpy because I haven't taken it upon myself to start bagging my own groceries, or the cashier bagging the groceries and then putting them back on the counter so that I can load them in the cart myself... it's ridiculous. Seriously, I don't understand why Ralphs doesn't invest in box-people/courtesy clerks. This weekend, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Alexis. What a terribly unpleasant cashier. She was another one who begrudgingly bagged my groceries, and then proceeded to stack them back on the counter with a look like, "what? you want me to load your cart too?". Her attitude is terrible and she should be moved to night crew so that she doesn't impact the customer experience. read more

Everytime I've come here (really its off the freeway & near my vanpool, can't lose w/that) its always good, by the time I get home, I kinda beat the after work/dinner rush & its got really nice fresh selection of everything! & I noticed this one tends to have alot more markdowns than others...I know its a little bit pricey, but its one of my favorites, especially since after you pass city of Rialto, they don't really have anymore locations that way in San Berdoo (Moreno Valley which is Riverside co), & unless your a diehard Stater's fan (they are also good) thats' allover the IE. read more

I only visit this store once in a while. During the holiday season I made three trips to this particular store. During my last three visits most of the employees were non-attentive. I encountered four employees during one of my visit and none had the courtesy to greet me in any fashion. I only came in for a couple of items lactose 2 percent milk and Bailey's coffee creamer. Both items out of stock. I noticed two employees stocking yogurt and ask if they would check to see if there was any backstock on these particular items. One of them said they would check and I proceeded over to the Coffee creamer area as he checked. I noticed he came back and started stocking yogurt once again. So I asked him if he found any milk that I was looking for. He said yes it's on the shelf. I thought it would be more appropriate if he brought one out to me and into my shopping basket but he just pointed to the direction of the item. As a paying customer I felt the opportunity for customer service was lost. This particular time they were very few customers in the store. There were several other employees who are working and stocking the shelves none turn around towards me or asked if I need help finding anything. Another opportunity for customer service lost. Same thing with the Checkers at check out most of the checkers talking amongst themselves and not paying any attention to the customers needs. I am retired from the grocery industry of 20+ years. So I brought my concerns to the management and told her that I be would making a phone call to district management of my findings at her location on several visits. After our dialogue and explaining to her my concerns and disappointments she apologized and asked if I would not call the district manager. I felt that she was more concerned for the bad publicity of poor customer service in her store than actually solving some of the concerns and issues that I encountered. All-around bad experience poor customer service I will never be shopping at this store again. To the management at Ralph's please take a drive up to the stater brothers a mile away. Don't bother shopping here on Tuesday's if you're looking for ad items, they always seem be out of everything by mid day. I get their super fast checkout but doesn't do me any good when I have to wait 7 minutes to get something from the deli or meat counter I always get the feeling employees are not very enthusiastic about working here. read more

I regularly shop at this store for the past few years. CONDITION of store: I have OCD so the cleanliness of the store is very important to me; this is a relatively new and clean store. I really appreciate that the staff put forth effort to keep the place clean and the items tidy. PRODUCE: The organic selection is more than other surrounding stores. I get my kids' apples and broccoli here. I wish it carries organic cucumbers. The non-organic selections are pretty good too. I rather get non-organic bananas than organic ones, but that applies to all the stores I have been to including Trader Joe's. For some reason, organic bananas don' t ripe properly. STAFF: The staff are very professional and nice. They always greet us and answer our questions. I have left many written compliments to the manager. FLORA: The fresh flowers selections are great! Although they are a little expensive, I usually get my table plants from here as the arrangements are absolutely beautiful and last for a long time. I don't know what Ralph's policy regarding solicitors, but they are almost always there except in the early morning. If I want to donate or buy something for charity, I will give it to the church or school. Rather than standing out in the street and selling candy for college or events, those kids should be at home and study so they make something of themselves. I wish Ralph would get rid of the solicitors! Because of them, I have to give this store a 4/5 stars. If they are ever gone, I will return and give a 5/5 stars. update: It has been 2 months since I have seen solicitors so thank you Ralph for addressing my concerns! Mari O accused me of having an attitude in front of the whole checkout line. Apparently you can't check out alcohol in self-check or else they must come over and assist you. Please be advised that the sign is posted under the scanning system (which another associate was "so kind" to point out after Mari couldn't find it). So therefore after scanning all of your groceries you must put them back into your cart and go to the cashiers designated register. Please don't ask where the sign regarding the alcohol is located because if Mari doesn't know she might just yell at you that you have an attitude after slapping your receipt on the counter and walking away like she did you a favor. Don't worry though because Mari says you don't even need to show your ID to purchase the alcoholic beverage because she knows how old you are even with a mask on. read more

I drive out of my way to shop here because it's clean and the employees seem happy/respectful and have great people skills. I'm always greeted with a smile at the register. They're happy to help customers. I love the book section. I love that they mark down pastries and meats that are about to expire, so you can snap up a great deal sometimes! Richa and Daniel are absolutely terrible. Couldn't find a seasoning and they were no help with finding it. The app said that it was available for pick up so when we asked a manager about it he was more than willing to help us find it and look in the back because it was not on the floor. So the associates are absolutely terrible and could care less about customers that just need a little assistance with finding something. 10/10 would never shop at this location again. read more

On September 27, 2016 about 6:15pm I received the worse service ever at this Ralph's. I needed to do Western Union, I went to one of the cashier & asked could she help me, she said she was not the one that does Western Union, she went & asked the lady that does the Western Union & she SNICKER saying "it's time for me to be off work!" She did not want to help me; when she did help me my MTCN number was incorrect so I had to call my sender & he could not get the number correct; the lady said she had to leave because it was taking me too long to get my MTCN number correct so she told me the man on cashier line 10 will be able to help me once I get the number correct; my sender ended up giving me the correct number plus another MTCN number for another pick up; I went to the guy in line 10 waited till he finished helping those that was in his line...,my night just turned into A RUDE DISCRIMINING, PREJUDICIOUS, HUMILIATING, BELITTLING, DISRESPECTFUL NIGHTMARE. When there was absolutely no one in this man line I asked him very politely can he help me with Western Union; he rudely told me NO! I asked him why not he said "he need to wait till the store is cleared out; there was 3 other cash register open in the front; so I got a few items to buy & went to him with no line & ask him "now can you help me" he told me NO again. I said you still can't help me? He said "I told you not until the store is cleared!" So now it is about 10 minutes to 7:00pm my sender called me & ask me did I get the money? I said no because this PREJUDICE MAN is refusing to help me (I am a African American Woman) by this time I am ready to make a big stink; there was a Caucasian couple that came to his non line & they hear me on my phone telling my sender this man is prejudice & they start saying why he won't help her; my sender tells me to ask for the manager & I said he is the manager! The couple was saying he is not right for not helping me when there is no one in this line; then he turned red as a beet & said to me "I will be right with you!" I love this store! The checkers and baggers go above and beyond to make sure your shopping experience is outstanding! Tonight for example, when the checker asked if I had found everything alright, I mentioned an item that I had been unable to find. She sent a bagger back to look for it and she couldn't find it either and so I thanked her for looking. That to me was already going above and beyond, but then, while I was in the parking lot she came running out with the item! She had gone back and looked some more and then came out to find me! This Ralph's is Beyond one of my favorites. They are very organized and they have very good customer service. Especially in their Floral department, I was so impressed by how great customer service " Qualieen " had. She went above and beyond to help my sister and I put together a beautiful flower arrangement for my aunt. It was her 60th birthday, she was in love with them. I am adding this business with a bad review. I happen to work nearby and had hoped this would be a good place to shop, that has not turned out to be the case. First thing that happened was when I stopped by the deli area looking at salads, they had a moldy item in the deli case. I pointed it out to the worker on duty. the next day when I went in that item was back in the case for sale. Someone had added fresh garnish in an attempt to hide the mold. I haven't used the deli since. Recently I bought several microwaveable meals. I heated up a Kashi product I hadn't tried before. After eating about a third of it I got a mouthful that tasted moldy! I toss the rest of the meal and looked more carefully at the box, finding it was 3 months expired! Then I spent some time getting sick in the bathroom. Pretty much wrecked my whole evening. I wrote to their website, and the response sounds like a form letter and whoever sent it doesn't care they made me sick by not pulling expired items from the freezer. When I worked in the food industry checking dates was a part of the job. the staff stocking the freezer cases should be watching those dates and pulling items that age out. For items to be that old means no manager is ever checking the dates either. This place isn't worth spending your hard earned money in. They don't handle the food well enough. I don't usually come here as the quality of meats has gone down over the years but I did today to pick up some things and Ralph's was on my way back home. Surprised to see the meat section fully stocked with decent cuts. I'll see again in the near future to see if they keep it up. For now i'll keep getting the meat at Stater Bros on Summit and Beech. The butcher there is pretty food and you can't beat their holiday meat sales. The store overall is clean and staff is nice. Just not my preferred store. Their craft beer selection is pretty good though and they have Atomic horseradish which is a must have at our house. read more

She was very nice to the white people in front of us, but when it came to her ringing us up she said nothing. It is a nice store! Fairly new, well stocked, clean and fairly affordable if you are a Ralph's club member. I noticed that Ralph's carries many more low fat options than Stater Brothers on Summit Ave.....However, Ralph's is more expensive than Stater Brothers even with the Ralph's club discount. Now for the down side and this has happened several times not just once. The deli is understaffed....or poorly trained, one of the two..And even though some like Maha do more than carry their weight and give excellent customer service, overall they are far more concerned with the damn fried chicken than helping customers. Example, six people waiting for help, one Ralph's associate helping them. Another associate comes from the back, interrupts the ONE person helping customers to have dialog about their schedule and completely ignores everyone waiting while taking the one employee tasked to help away from doing her job!!! Not EVEN a thought of helping customers!! I got fed up and bought packaged cheese and sliced meat from the isle. When I left the store, the SAME six people were STILL waiting!.... One Ralph's associate still helping them. What really blew my dress up...2 Ralph's employees had joined the line of people waiting for service?! SMDH Like I said, this is not the first or even the second time that I have experienced this situation with the deli. Once I did confront the store manager with my disgust. I guess I wasn't taken serious. Nice clean store! Fast check out! Terrible customer service at the deli. Wish I could rate my own neighborhood store higher. My drive for groceries would be shorter.....I suggest you avoid the deli and your experience will be more positive. read more

Ralph's is one of my favorite grocery stores especially the one on Sierra Lakes Pkwy. The store is always clean and well stocked of sale items. The produce is awesome especially with the wide variety of apples. Today, I was bit disappointed with the cashier, he was not very personable and when I reminded him that he did not give me my points for the reuseable bags that I brought in he made me wait until he was done with another customer. Don't get me wrong I don't mind waiting, I just thought it would be a nice jesture to give me a few extra bonus points to make up for his mistake and causing me to wait! Went there for some deli meat and to my surprise they had boars head meat. Usually I don't buy from the deli because the workers never want to clean the cutter when I ask them to. I don't eat ham so I don't want them to slice my meat unless they clean the cutter first. Anyways the person helping me was so kind enough to clean the cutter. Went here today to order cake for my son. (Around 3:30pm) The lady that was working at the bakery was super rude and wasn't helpful at all!! When I got there she was chit chatting with one of the customer I assume is her friend. When it was myturn she did not even smile or anything. She kept doing what she was doing on the table when I already told her I was interested in ordering a cake. No eye contact whatsoever and when I asked her something she just ignored me!! So I ended up not ordering and just left!! I'd rather go all the way to the one on day creek then to deal with that lady again!! read more
