The potato salad has been a hit and miss, last time I got it it was pretty good. They also have tall cans of sweet iced tea for a dollar, they're so good I had to get another one. I'm leaving this review solely based on my awful experience at the deli counter when I attempted to place a large order for chicken to be picked up in a few days. The older woman working the counter (forgot her name) was so incredibly rude to me for absolutely no reason and seemed like she didn't even want to help me. So I decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere to spend my money, I do not deserve to be met with such disgusting attitude and at that point I didn't even trust that woman to handle my food. There's a FLOCK camera at the Cherry Avenue entrance/exit. These are license plate readers that are plugged into and operated by AI. I don't need AI knowing where I'm shopping at, what car I'm driving and what I'm doing. Great store close to home. Large selection of organic items. Get some great deal in the meat department. Produce is always in great shape. Service in the meat dept is great. This location has such poor service. After waiting in line which was not big deal waiting, I got to the register, and there is a group of workers talking about how bad customers are and laughing about their complaints and some of their behaviors. Marissa was my cashier, and Aiden was a younger gentleman also there with the associate bagging my items. Two other team members there just to chill. It was like they were all just taking a break at her register. Myself and the gentleman behind me felt so uncomfortable as we just looked at each other while they spoke poorly about customers right in front of us like no big deal. All their side talking and ignoring the customers. The only thing Marissa said or asked me was what the name of the vegetable I was purchasing because she didn't know what it was. I expressed, "Bok choy," and she laughed. Really uncomfortable and weird environment. Which is a bummer cause I love their bakery and flower selection. I'd recommend hiring better talent as there are a lot of people out there seeking employment, or maybe management needs to step up and take action. If I visit again, it will definitely be self checkout. I am grateful for my baked goodies. But a very disappointing experience. read more

I got the fresh pass delivery service through Vons. Everything was great through the trial period so I kept it. After the trial period, I have gotten spoiled produce every time. Last weekend the bananas were brown, the oranges had mold, the lemons were brown, and the apples were really bad quality. I took the items back and spoke to a manager. I asked her if this is something she would choose for herself. She said no. All I got was a refund on those items. I tried getting a refund on this useless fresh pass membership and was told the trial period had passed. Membership is $99 for free delivery. I still go ahead and tip the driver every time so for me, delivery hasn't been free. I will not be shopping at Vons anymore. read more

Best Vons maple bars ever, and I have been to many fine Vons locations. I love maple bars.

As l like to snack on Navel oranges, for the last month, l have been purchasing weekly (6) navel oranges from this VON's, And, consistently, their navel oranges are of marginal quality. The inner orange portion of their oranges are somewhat dry and flakey, - not moist, firm and sweet tasting. It appears as if their current stock has been kept in cold storage for too long. This VON's used to sell Navel oranges in pre-package bags, - for me, l found those of better quality. read more

I don't do much shopping at Vons, but I have used the bakery 4 separate times within the last two months. I've ordered custom cakes and custom cupcakes. Each time I have been highly satisfied along with my guests. I always get chocolate or vanilla cake with the whipped topping. My experience has been great. The staff is always super friendly. The Starbucks inside, the workers are always nice and makes you feel welcomed. The only down side is when you do a pick up order people have been parking in the spots and going inside to shop. There has been a few times I had to wait for a spot to open. read more

Terrible prices, and the flowers which are high priced normally are not fresh and die pretty quickly. on. a few occasions, in a rush I purchased some flowers and for daisy's and one rose it was like 42.00 terrible, not in a vase just paper. My shopping experience was fine. But there was a stock and label issue that caused me to revisit the location to correct the issue. The woman who assisted me in the "Customer/Guest Services" was extremely unfriendly and unpleasant. She appeared as if she didn't want to do her job. I'm definitely the one that's usually writng the positive reviews. However, on this day, I am a bit miffed. Granted, I was not able to get to Vons until after work. After scouring the store for this special on Bacardi rum, I found empty shelves where this rum is normally placed, and only three extra empty cases of this product in the store. When I went to customer service and kindly asked if they had any more of this product or if I could get a rain check, I was told no rain check and that the liquor stores are in the store first thing in the morning and buy out all the product. First of all, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand that this is a good deal. Vons should account for that and order an ample supply. Second, it is an absolute crime for Vons to allow liquor stores to empty their shelves before the common customer. If one must buy six items to participate in the deal, there was only supply for approximately 10 to 12 customers. I have shopped at this Vons occasionally for about 3 years. Their selection is great, prices on the high side. What I do not understand is that every single time I go through a regular checkout line (not self-checkout) the food conveyor belts are SO dirty. Not just dirty like someone before me put a drink down and it left a stain but you can tell it's built up and there is dust along the side showing that it's been there for while. It looks like they don't ever clean it and I don't understand this. Customers are putting their food on the belt that will be bringing home : it's unsanitary. No other store in the area has dirty conveyor belts even the cheaper stores. Otherwise, I do like the selection at this store, but I just can't believe this is always dirty and had to write a review. Especially when the prices are on the high side; cleanliness should be the number one priority. Please manager, assign this task to someone. read more

I love this Vons, it's clean, well organized and carries a lot of the items I prefer (unusual items). The produce is fresh, which is important to me. And I prefer the fried chicken from the deli over other local markets because it's not too salty. Customer service is always top. Not a big fan of the self service check out, don't like paying the same price for half the service. read more

I went to grab a couple of cheese bagels at the bakery this morning. As I walked up dude was cleaning the glass over the bins the bread was in. It was disconcerting to say the least, to see someone spraying something out of a bottle right over unpackaged food products like bread and bagels. I have no idea if it was just water or chemicals in the spray bottle but regardless it wasn't a good look, and I decided that I'm no longer buying anything out of those bins going forward.
