Some friends and I stopped by late at night just to grab one quick item, and what could have been an uncomfortable situation turned into a really meaningful moment because of one employee's kindness. Shortly after we walked in, two drunk young adults came into the store being loud, bumping into things, and lingering uncomfortably close to us while we checked out. It honestly made us feel uneasy. The employee quickly noticed and calmly told them not to do anything crazy while keeping a close eye on the situation. When we finished paying and left, he didn't physically stop them, but he kept them inside the store for a few extra minutes so we could get to our car safely. As we were pulling out, we saw him watching to make sure we had made it out okay. That small act meant more than he probably realized. The worker was a bald white man with a mustache wearing a gray shirt. His kindness and attentiveness did not go unnoticed. We need more people like him in the world. read more

We spend a lot on groceries for our family and we expect when we buy meat that it would be editable, but they sell meat that is spoiled even though exp. date is current. The WORST service that I got today which ruined the evening of me and my family. Because of breaking of your store shopping bag all my shopping items which were bottles rolled over in front of your porch. How do allow customers to put their filthy dogs inside your shopping carts? The next customer unknowingly places their "fresh" food in the same cart where the filthy dog had just been licking and drooling. This location of Ralphs is my favorite by far! And, I have worked, traveled for work, and lived in many, many locations across the States. After moving back to this area, I am so very impressed with the care, genuine kindness and attention that the employees of this Ralphs, or any grocery store really, demonstrate to the people of this community. In fact, they are the reason, that I have noticed, that people still call this area "a community". One employee that I would like to specifically highlight is: Harriet Larsen. She has worked at this location for years. She typically works in the deli meat department, where they cut meats for customers, and serve the prepared salads and hot food that Ralphs cooks. I have been to so very many Ralphs and no one has been as kind and genuine and helpful as Harriet Larsen!!! She always remembers not only myself, buy my family members' names...and in the last year and a half, when my family was going through some personally very difficult tragedy and tough times...she always smiled and asked how my family was doing, and was encouraging and kind. Sometimes, that's all it takes to help make it through these life times...and we did!! She was an integral part of the few, the very few that were kind to us, and acted like, talked like, and respected and appreciated us like, we were part of this community. She did that for us!!! I want to say that me and my family are always loyal to the Ralphs and the Granary Store location, even if I have to drive miles out of the way...because of employees like Harriet. No, because of Harriet! She is Ralphs to us. And we will continue to come for years to come because of it! Thank you so much Harriet Larsen!!! I've been shopping here since it was Hughes Markets. 35 years. The handles on my paper bag broke today in my driveway. A bottle of wine and a jar of artichoke hearts in water broke and soaked everything else in the bag. I went right back to the store to the same checker not even 5 mins later. Had my receipt and the wet items. She asked me for pictures or proof and wouldn't help me. I know the majority of the people that work in this store. I've never been treated like I was liar and I have never returned a single item in all of the years shipping there. My son and I were in line talking about how we had spent $140 yesterday and then spent $151 today. I will never go back in this store. My family will never spend another penny in a Ralph's market. Well, first of all, I got a $100 gift card from Ralphs from a friend who didn't keep the receipt and when I went to use it apparently the cashier never activated it, so there was absolutely nothing I could do!!!! I wonder how many times this happens!!! Tonight I went in and there was an item on sale plus an additional discount if you have the digital coupon It so when I went up to check out, I asked for help and the guy helping me said I had to call customer service and I said can't you just give me this one time discount and he said no you have to go home and call customer service really ???? Ralphs has sunk to a new low. Their employees share horrific stories about the store chain or their management team with its customers. Some of their stories are quite disappointing and very disturbing. I lived around the block, but it was time to leave California and move. Since being out of California now for almost 45 days, I now see how a real grocery store is run and taken care of. My new store of choice is staffed with outstanding people who love their job. My buddy's half-brother was born yesterday, and we stopped by here last minute to buy some flowers for the happy family. We noticed this Ralph's located just two blocks away from the hospital, so we here we came to buy the flowers. We walked in and checked out the different options. There weren't too many good bouquets, as the most of the good ones were already bought. We bought the best looking ones, and out the door we went. They cost $20, and were ok but nothing to brag about. I wasn't able to scope out the rest of the store, so I'll end my review here. I came into Ralph's today to do my shopping and I've never been so disappointed before after a grocery shopping experience. Disappointed enough to open Yelp and leave this review. The lack of respect that the baggers have for the groceries that they are packing is incredible. The boxes were bent, the bags of produce ripped, things were not sorted at all by hot or cold. After spending $300-400 in your store I would expect a little bit more from your employees. read more

This store is confusing with most aisles split in sections and signs at one end that don't say what is at the other end. I spent way too long looking for items that I went in here to buy and then when I found them they cost a lot more than what I am used to paying at Wal-Mart. I had to have the items and Wal-Mart was not convenient so I opted to spend the money on the items rather than on gas and time. I won't come here for normal shopping though, too much money and with the "rat-maze" layout I will get my cheese elsewhere. read more

When you walk into this Ralph's there's nothing really special about it. The produce here is overpriced as usual and the customers push their way into lines. The lines are always packed. Hello management! Management at this Ralph's gets 1 Star from me. This 5 star review is for the bakery department. They have the best decorated cakes and cupcakes. I've attached 2 cupcakes and I think they're so cute and special. I've gotten cupcakes at specialty bakeries before but these Ralph's cupcakes are more colorful and better decorated. Enjoy your freedom: Today I came into town to pick up some groceries. This store is SO crowded, making social distancing impossible. I was looking at some bread when one patron came within a foot of me, and I kindly asked for a moment to keep looking but within safe space. They had no problem and moved on. But when another lady came to do that same thing, she made sure to let me know that "I am not the only one shopping, here". Yes, lady. I can see that. I asked the manager to control the amount of people coming in...its a total free for all. She looked up at some screen and said she wasn't at capacity. I told her to please listen to me, look around at the crowd, that this isn't safe. She blew me off. An employee who overheard me pulled me aside to say they totally agree...the employees can't possible be safe in this situation. Make your money, Ralph's. I'll never come here again. The sheriff won't do anything. The manger won't do anything. Your own community thinks it's more important get get their party supplies for today (and gather illegally) than protect each other. I absolutely love this Ralph's store! I recently developed plantar fasciitis. I called the store and asked if they could get 2 bags of chicken nuggets for my daughter (that is all she eats). The deli and bakery customer service are friendly and helpful but never buy the Turkey Dinners here. It tastes horrible including the sides. Ralph's is a Kroger store, just like Kings Soopers in Colorado is, and in fact our loyalty card was useful at Ralph's. I was impressed by the selection of alcoholic products. I wasn't buying any red wine this day, but I did look to see if they carried any of my favorites, and they did, even though I thought they wouldn't. I came to Ralph's late night on February 11th/12th because they were the only grocery store open late. They were open until 1am, and I arrived at 12:55 and the door was closed. The guy working the register saw me outside and didn't even acknowledge me. I repeatedly give this Ralphs a chance but will no longer which is too bad because it is open late and convenient. I have had several issues here such as them always being out of stock of items I need, buying things that expired months prior (check your salad dressing) and now being overcharged. Came in last night and bought 5 items for the '5x' deal and was charged for 6 of said items. I went back in to address the issue and get my money back for the 6th item I was charged for. The cashier who rang me up overheard and said "Oh, I scanned too many spaghetti sauces, I wasn't sure." He was aware of the possibility of him overscanning me and didn't bother checking, screwing me out of $. So I am with another cashier explaining what had happened and she is rudely trying to explain and figure it out. She gets me my refund and now I am looking in the bag, there are only 4 jars of sauce and I was still charged for 5 after going in for a refund for a 6th jar I didn't even have. To top things off, while shopping, a manager got on the intercom and publicly addressed an issue he had with a department and told them to "to use their common sense." Rather than walking over to the department himself he decided to accuse and scold these employees OVER THE INTERCOM in front of the whole store. I believe his name was Dennis, the store manager. Really?? How embarrassing. Completely unprofessional and sad how downhill this location has gotten. Go spend your money elsewhere. A lot of these employees can use a little refresher on scanning and customer service. However, not all are bad, there are a few decent employees here. read more

Worst Ralph's I've ever been. Couldn't believe they had such Customer associate whose name was Victor . My Shopping date was 2/05/21 time 12:54pm. When he saw me holding my baby falling asleep in my arms and holding my other child while he starts scanning my grocery items he looks at me as if I don't deserve a good customer service beside I'm a young Asian mom. after he finished doing my transactions he just immediately left and didn't even manage to at least put my grocery in the bag since I'm his last customer that time. my baby woke up crying because I have to put him down on the floor because I didn't get any help while everyone else was busy bagging their customers grocery I'm the only one struggling bagging my own grocery with one kid crying and the other one wondering around.
