The wait was longer than I expected bc I was second in the door when they opened at 8. I was simply getting pads and rotors for my wife's suv. Outside of that I have no complaints. Mike was friendly and offered a lot of advice with his knowledge of cars. The prices are a lot less than most shops in Indianapolis and the quality is A1. Also a young lady that appeared to be in her twenties came in for a minor muffler repair and I overheard the mechanic say I can repair that for $20!!!!! That blew me away that was very honest and trustworthy. He could've charged her $300 for something that he fixed in 15-20 minutes. Thanks again for a job well done!!!!! read more

SCUMBAGS! They said it would take 90 minutes and they wanted to charge me $496 to repair a one inch hole in my exhaust. I got it done in 30 minutes for 75 bucks! I'll never recommend these SCUMBAGS to anyone as long as they exist. Do yourself a gigantic favor and at least get a second opinion. read more

Excellent experience! I had a dual exhaust with Flowmaster installed on my daughters s10. I dropped it off around 9am with no appointment (they are first come, first serve) on a Saturday. I expected them to have it all day, they were very busy. I got a call around 10am running through exactly how I wanted the exhaust done. The guy who called was polite and respectfully recommended that they should run the exhaust tips a little differently than I asked for. He explained why and it made total sense. My grandbaby was life flighted here to Indy from South Bend. Half way between home and Indy my car started to make a noise which I assumed was my brakes grinding. I pushed through and made it the rest of the way here. I knew there was no way I would make it back home once we were released. I started to look for a local shop close to the hospital and stumbled across Ralph's. I called explained my situation and the noise I was hearing. Was told to bring in the car and let them look at it. I took my car and was told they probably wouldn't be able to do it that day so I left the car expecting I wouldn't hear back until the next day. I got a call that evening and was told it wasn't the brakes and that it was most likely my ball joint or bearings, but that it was too late and they would take a better look at it first thing in the am. I received a call shortly after they opened telling me that it was neither and my thermo cover had come loose and was rubbing on my driveshaft. They tightened it and my car was good as new!! No charge!! Being a woman hundreds miles from home and desperate I could have been badly taken advantage of!! But these gentlemen took care of the issue honestly!! When I got there five minutes after they opened there were a lot of vehicles ahead of me. It took about 30-35 minutes for them to get to my vehicle and I thought that was great considering. I told them I thought it was possibly a hole in my muffler because the faster I drove the louder it got. They showed me it wasn't my muffler but probably my rear hub assembly. They said they didn't have it in stock because it was probably still under warranty. They told me how much they would charge to do it but I should check the dealership to see how much they would charge and I could choose between the two. My car part was still under warranty and only cost me $150 for the deductible. So this was a great quote from Ralph's friendly staff. Thanks guy's. read more

Took my car there to get my exhaust put on. They over charged me by a lot. $600 in labor for exhaust... Lol anyways they did a terrible job. My exhaust was uneven. One of my mufflers was touching and rattling plus they didn't weld a piece that was supposed to be welded. Instead they just threw a clamp on there and now its leaking along with my car rattling because they had my exhaust too high. Took my car back to have them fix it but they didn't fix anything. Been going to this place for years. Went there for a oil change and after the weasel put my car up on the hydraulic lift he decided my catalytic converter needed to be changed. He was so nervous he kept smoking to calm himself down. My vehicle was over 10 years old so I thought maybe it needed changing. The slicker did NOT change my oil but took my catalytic converter out to go sell it. Most of the other people are honest but this one bad prick definitely left an awful taste in my mouth. I will never go back to Ralph Muffler and if I should this filth will never work on my vehicle. He is a CROOK! Matter of fact I will report him. read more

The men at Ralph's Muffler are hardworking, honest people who get the work done and for a reasonable price. I trust the quality of work that they do because all the work that they have done for me over the years has been satisfactory. I can't say enough about the service they provide. Disclaimer: I can't comment on the quality of work they do because I left before any happened. I came in early on a weekday to get my brakes worked on. I waited around for an hour and during that time four different people had asked me what I was there for. I told the first person and he jotted it down on an old notebook. And after an hour passed of me sitting there watching 3-4 workers sit in the garage and smoke and ignore me, I just left. It's very disorganized. The guys at Edwards sent me over to Ralph's for an issue they don't normally deal with. I thought I had to get a whole new catalytic system, hell they oct have told me I need one and I wood have done it. Instead they said I just needed a new resonator, $150 vs $1,500. First time coming to this shop (my husband's recommendation). I sat and waited patiently for my turn, but every time someone walked in and stood at the counter, they were serviced before me (not a good system). Once I spoke up, Randy waited on me and immediately took care of my car. I needed a new catalytic converter, and the pipe and muffler needed to be re-attached. Randy did an EXCELLENT JOB and the price was lower than I expected. Randy's work deserves a 5STAR, but the walk-in system needs improvement. A simple "Who's next?" is a good start. read more

Firestone quoted my 2005 Vibe for new brakes, rotors, 'brake service', serpentine belt for over $650. As ridiculous as this may sound, they also quoted $49 of labor to change a $10 headlight bulb. Needless to say, I got a second and third opinion from local businesses - both easily beating Firestone. Ralph's on 16th did all of the work mentioned above on a Saturday morning for $288. The staff at Ralph's were friendly and willing to work with the customer. Ralph's will have my continued business (hopefully won't be needing it) and my recommendation to friends and family. Just the place I needed. My regular shop suggested I replace much of my exhaust system with an aftermarket one for $1400. I had just paid for a bunch of other needed repairs and decided to try a muffler shop. Ralph's fit the bill. Turns out I simply needed a couple of brackets and a new converter. Total cost $520. Most important thing was that my shop was going to replace my existing system with a steel one, Ralph's pointed out that that the one I have is stainless, and that only the hangers rust. Gave me a 24 month warranty on everything. In and out in under 1.5 hours. Knowledgeable and pleasant staff. Just don't expect a Latte and beignet! Highly recommended for exhaust system repairs! read more

They even installed an aftermarket catback exhaust and custom front shocks on my truck,even when I didn't purchase their in-stock parts from them. Under NO circumstances would I ever suggest to someone that they should have ANY work done here. In one word NEGLIGENT. As other people have stated they could have been killed due to oversights and things not done properly on a vehicle. I don't imagine any of these men have much integrity...I mean children ride in cars. Which shouldn't matter, putting someone's life at risk whether intentionally done by performing mediocre repairs or unintentionally because they lack proper knowledge/skills is rather irrelevant. Not only did I have my catalytic converter, exhaust, and muffler "replaced" but had to go back not even a year later for them to replace it. Then about 1.5 years later when I went to the same mechanic my family has gone to for 15 years and is backed by the BBB they stated that those repairs were NOT made and only the muffler was replaced. I took it it get a second, and even a third opinion, and all mechanics unanimously agreed I was bait it switched..which is ironic because they have signs all throughout the place alerting you that many other places do this. Around the same time I had a my spare tire put on and these fools didn't tighten the lug nuts properly. I drive a truck, and was on the highway when 4/5 wheel studs broke.LUCKILY the moment I heard a noise I pulled over. had I not my truck would have certainly flipped. When speaking to Kevin the owner he was rude and hung up so certain they do quality work. Came by with a muffler and a broken bracket causing it to hang low. They welded it and didn't charge a penny. Kudos.

Not sure if the previous reviews are employees or what but this shop is a joke. I installed new headers, magnaflow cat back myself ($1300) an needed a new y pipe made. I dropped off the truck an specifically said I wanted the y pipe made an I wanted any an all exhuast leaks to be taken care off. I went to pick the truck up and instantly heard a bad exhuast leak. I would of made them fix if then but my ride already dropped me off an I knew she does not answer her phone while driving, that an the fact I needed the truck to be able to goto work that week. I notice during the winter a noise under my feet. I looked under truck an I seen the front 4 wheel drive shaft was hitting the new y pipe. They had made the y pipe 2 low an did not clear the shaft moving up an down. So I go to try to fix the leak an took the y pipe off. I instantly noticed the flange had a patruding groove where the pipe is connected together inside. This would instantly cuase a leak an any sane person would know this. I tried sanding it down with no luck. I have been looking at pipe in auto stores an they do not have this groove. I asked around an was told it's a cheaper pipe used to run exhuast but is not used for flange joints for obvious reasons. So after all this I now have to take it to another shop an have it done all over again the correct way. All of this crappie workmanship on a exhuast system that I already spent $1200 on. Dropped off the car. Thought Randy was going to take good care of us. Danny called a few hours later and said the check engine light was not on and it was running fine. The problem went away.
