I took my Buick in knowing that it needed quite a few repairs. However, I got a nearly $10,000 bill to fix the issues. The cost they quoted me for repairs was more than my car was even worth. Breakdown: Rear brake job- $535 Front brake job- $535 Tie rod ends- $323 Alignment- $125 Struts- $1,920 Ac condenser- $1921 A/C service (which I was told at the last visit would not fix my a/c as it is the condenser that is broken)- $175.85 Degrease engine bay- $138 Water pump- $1041 Air filter box- $499 Air filter snorkel- $451 Windshield wipers- $47 End bill was ~$9,450 Now just for kicks and giggles, I had them replace the windshield wipers as I don't like doing it myself. It costed $144 after labor. I don't mind paying for good work. But the prices are all in the highest range of every Google estimate for fixing these issues. Even someone with money to burn would not pay these prices. I am a teacher. I need a working car. I took my car to my dad, who was an air force mechanic for 28 years. He was able to fix all issues in the car except the a/c for $700 worth of parts and about 3 hours of work. Why? My car did not need half the repairs they told me it needed, and not for their exorbitant cost of labor. Your mechanics are charging more for labor than my dad made per hour in the military. Cars are already expensive. Esler's does not need to charge disgustingly high prices for routine maintenance, and they certainly don't need to suggest repairs that don't need done. I will not be coming back. Half star is for the front desk lady. She was really nice and got me scheduled quickly. Give her a raise. Maybe you can give her some of that labor cost. read more

So thankful for Esler's! I called and their next available appointment was for the following week. They seem to stay busy! They're located behind a big office building and you'll immediately see cars everywhere. The parking lot is super uneven and gravelly and the office looks like it has been there for a long time, but don't let that fool you. The woman at the counter is so friendly and the mechanics seemed super nice as well. Their team worked quickly on our car and our payment total was under $100 (you never know with a car, so that price was a relief). They seem to be super honest and helpful here, and we will definitely be back! read more

Do not recommend unless you're willing to not have your car for weeks. Took it to my appointment and never hear back about it. No one told me they were closed the 31st and the next day was new years. 4th day they just started my car in the afternoon and realized they had ordered the wrong part. Next day I called and they told me they were finishing up. 5:30pm rolls around and have not heard anything. Call them and none of their mechanics could set up the alignment machine. Told them I will take my car somewhere else but they insisted to keep my car until the next Monday. No one apologized during the 7ish phone calls I had with them despite multiple mishaps on their end until I came to pick up my half finished car and take it elsewhere. read more

Did't want to bother Esler's with this so went to discount tire and belle tire who both turned me down. Discount said it would be a 4 hour wait and Belle said overnight. Trust? I'm deeply saddened by what I recently experienced. I've had my Mazda serviced at Eslers in the past so I thought I could trust them, and they'd be be honest, I thought wrong. I had my car towed in to have them replace the water pump. I was told the entire frame was rusted and unsafe to drive....but, they have a buyer who would probably give me something for it. I was stuck. I told them to have their buyer contact me. He did. He now has a drive able car, for $300, what he bought it from for, and the only issue WAS the water pump. I took my car in to be fixed; it does not start. I told Andy what was replaced on car and said no spark at all from spark plug wires. The solution was to replace the distributor. At the end we did not agree on price. I asked Andy to document what his technician checked on my car. Andy documented ONLY what I told him I did on the car!!!!!! Their diagnosis was not hundred percent correct, it seems that the tech just went over what I told Andy. The car still did not start. The price of replacing the item was astronomical. Labor should be about an hour, actually thirty minutes; he was charging FOUR hours. I would not go back to this place. A distributor costs maximum four or five hundred dollars high quality. I recently moved into the area and was looking for an auto shop to fix an issue with my Honda CRV. I stopped in to the shop and a mechanic jumped in my car so we could drive around and see if he could figure out what it was doing. First time ever someone was that proactive in helping detect an issue with one of my vehicles. Usually you just have to recreate the sounds and hope they realize the sound you're making relates to a mechanical issue...lol. Once I was able to drop it off for service they fixed it up and I've had no issues since. I later took in another vehicle for service and it was excellent. They even followed up to make sure everything was working well. Great experience. Great staff. Great business. I totally trust them and recommend them! I'll use them for preventive maintenance and any mechanical concerns that may arise. read more

After getting the repair finished, come to find out the part price was 3-4 times more than what other mechanics could have offered. The work was of high quality, but I paid a hefty price for the parts. I could have got a better deal elsewhere. My fault for getting the repairs done before checking the part prices elsewhere. I have used Eslers for about 2 years now with nothing but praised but wanted to share 2 experiences that not only put them at top of the auto repair list but in my mind a company that represents what America was built on. Good old fashion hard work and caring about people. I was in 1 month ago to replace a timing built which is an all day project and an issue with my front suspension. I told Jeff (Tech 7) that I needed a new front CV joint. After replacing the timing belt he told me that I didn't need a CV joint. (that alone usual doesn't happen) but he fixed the noise in my brake. I paid the money for the repairs. When I left the brakes started making the noise again. I immediately went back and told him it was still making the noise. This was 5:30 in the evening. He put my car back up removed the brakes and worked on my brakes for nearly 2 hours. We then took a drive and the issue fixed. I pulled out my check book and Jeff said I am not charging you. I apologize for not fixing it the first time and I am sorry for the inconvience. When was the last time you heard that. I took my car back to them when I had an issue with my muffler. I told them I needed it welded. After looking at it they said no you don't need a weld (again honesty) something you have backed over has pushed the muffler up. The tech pulled the muffler back into place cleaned it and Joel the owner said. It didn't take the long to fix. No charge today. Have a great Monday and a great rest of the week. I don't expect anything for free nor should. The service is the best I have ever experience and the poeple are truly salt of the earth. If everything was done like this we would start seeing "Made in America" again on every packaged you opened. read more
