What a fantastic grocery store, each member of the staff is helpful and generous. Near the bakery, we were able to be offered some free cookies! The man helping at self-checkout gave us incredible customer service and helped us find some lollipops, his name was Daniel. My boyfriend and I come here often, and the staff/selection are always great. I had to write a review after today's visit. I received a gift card for my birthday that was purchased at another Ralph's, and when attempting to use it, was informed there was a $0.00 balance. Long story short, there was a fraudulent purchase on the card. The manager, Robert, was so helpful and friendly, and went out of his way to sort it out for us after sitting on the phone with different departments for several minutes. The front end cashier service has deteriorated badly as Ralphs pushes like crazy to make the customers do all the checkout process without assistance. A new "scan and bag" app and emphasis on self checkout took what was the best front end service in the business and made it a chore to shop there. Seems counterproductive given the huge increase in nearby grocery store competition. It's aggravating to see the so many staff being non-productive at the self check and the app stand while the traditional check stands are not staffed! The staff don't seem happy either with the changes but that's understandable when your employer is obvious;y looking to replace the cashiers with machines. Too bad - this was great store but with so many other options (new Stater Bros, Sprouts, improved Vons, Trader Joes, Aldi,etc nearby)...sorry Ralphs. read more

I never thought I'd review a grocery store, but this one is great. I'm picky with where I buy my food from. This place always has wonderful produce and a wide variety of meat and seafood. Their deli counter has a good selection and the bakery is good also. It's always very clean and is just a really nice store. All the people who work there are SO incredibly friendly and helpful! I've been going here for a year now, and can always find what I need. Great grocery store!! read more

I have been shopping at this Ralph's for probably close to 10 years now and I go almost daily or at least every other day. I am familiar with the staff and they're usually always nice, pleasant, and helpful for the most part! Especially Daniel, he is so awesome and has amazing customer service. 5 stars for Daniel by the way!! Anyway, I recently had two major surgeries and cannot lift anything more than 5 pounds or push anything. So I have to drive the electronic scooter that the store provides for about three months until I'm completely healed. I'm in my mid-30s so I can tell that some people kind of look at me like what are you doing in there. Which I get to a certain extent but if you are part of the staff you should be trained to never second-guess why someone has to ride in the scooter. You never know what could be going on in someone's life. So anyway there is a staff member there by the name of Christina who is also part of the management staff that was very rude to me when I went through her line/check stand. I put my groceries up on the rotator belt one by one and once she was done ringing them all up I had about five or so bags I believe. Since I've had these surgeries I usually get help out to my car which if you are familiar with Ralph's they usually ask if you would you like help to your car if you're in the scooter or not. When I went to enter my payment method in and put my club card number in you could tell she was already very irritated. I paid for my groceries and she did not offer me help out. So I proceeded to ask, can I get help out to my car please? She answered back and said I'm the only one here, and her face had an attitude! At that point I was wondering why she was so upset that I needed to get help out. There was also about maybe 5 people behind me in line and it was late at night and she was the only check stand that was open. They had night stockers there while I was shopping throughout the store. So when she said that she was the only one there I then replied and said well do you think one of the night crew workers can help me out? I'm going to need some assistance. She then got an even worse attitude then she had when I first arrived at the checkstand and said I can try to call someone but I don't know if they are going to be able to hear me. Which made no sense at all because she did an intercom call for someone to come help me right after she said that. Grocery stores communicate on that intercom with workers all the time so I don't know how they would've been able to hear her. Then a gentleman popped up and she said this lady needs help out to her car, will you be able to help her? He said of course I can. He was very nice! So the next day when I went to the store I told one of the managers about my experience with Christina the night before and she said oh wow, I'm shocked to hear that. She's new to management so that probably why or something to that effect. I replied to her and said being new to management has nothing to do with customer service and how you treat people. I then asked what is the procedure when you're the only checker in the store and someone needs help out to the car? What is the procedure here in the store for that situation? She replied and said you just ask anyone in the store to help the customer to their car. I then said exactly what I thought. I'm not sure what her problem was or why she was acting that way. All I can gather is maybe she thought I shouldn't be in that scooter or whatever the case maybe it was very unacceptable. She said thank you and that she will talk to her about it. The next couple of times that I saw her it was a bit awkward and she still had somewhat of an attitude like trying to pretend she didn't see me Instead of saying hello like she does to all the other customers. Now it's been a little bit of time that has past and she's actually trying to have decent customer service towards me. Like I said I go almost every day so I wanted to get the issue solved which I still don't know what the initial problem was to begin with. I did contact corporate about it and hopefully they handled it. Being that her attitude has changed towards me I guess they did end up talking to her. I shouldn't have to go through all of that and tell on her to be treated decently, it's ridiculous! Hopefully she learned from it and will treat people better in the future! read more

Has all the crap brands. And doesn't seem to have every thing stocked up. One confusing store might I add.

This store, in and of itself, is a really nice store to shop at. The customer service is good, and since we've shopped this location for years (at least since the time we moved to Rancho Cucamonga, which was around 2000) we've gotten to know many of the employees and managers. Two of the managers, Debbie Aquino and Ron Stimson, even tried whatever they could to help me become employed with Ralph's as a truck driver. Though that never panned out (as Ralph's has severely reduced its driving staff), they did try to help. Sadly, Ron moved to Utah last year. He was a great manager and we miss him! Debbie is also great and very friendly. Phillip Underwood is another manager who is very nice as well. Unfortunately, we have had to stop shopping here. Two reasons: 1. The prices 2. The night closing manager (can't think of his name, but you'll know him after reading this) After Ralph's began their "Get Real [Low Prices]" campaign, the prices on some things did really go down significantly - for a while. We were able to get a lot of great buys, but even at the start, we knew it was a game the company was playing. And it was. After some time passed, we started seeing prices rise on many of the very products that had been, at the start, cheaper. One of the managers even agreed us that this was, in fact, a game aimed at raising their prices. Things got to the point where we were seeing bills approaching, or exceeding, $200 - to feed my wife and I for a week. We don't have kids either. This is to feed just us. We had enough of that, and decided to shop elsewhere. Another reason we don't shop here anymore is the night closing manager. He is from the Ralph's store in Idyllwild. I wish he would've stayed there. He's a better fit for that area. Or if he had to move to another store, I know one in Mira Loma he would be suited for as well. Because of my work schedule at the time, we would tend to shop late at night, near to closing time. One of the first times we met this character, we walked up to the check out with a cartload of stuff, and he tells us that the regular check out is closed and we HAVE to use the self check out. My wife loudly refused, and he begrudgingly took us through the regular line, all the while telling us rudely, "Come on! Let's go!" Excuse me?? Then he starts telling us all the perks of using the self check, like how quick it is and how he can get us through quicker, and how he got someone with $700 worth of liquor through really fast. Anyone with any sense sees this for the ploy that it is, trying to play like we're stupid or something. $700 sounds like a lot of money in a grocery store, but liquor is expensive, and so $700 worth of liquor is still not as many items as our cartload of food, and of course easier to manage. He tells us that it is now Ralph's policy to push people to the self check 2 to 3 hours before closing time. This is not true. We asked at another store in RC, and they said that is absolutely not true, and that if we choose the regular line, it is our choice and they have to serve us there. We had another similar encounter with this guy during another shopping trip, and when we told him we weren't going through self check, he (more or less) quietly took us through the regular line. I wonder if this is because of the conversation we had about him with the store's general manager? The self check was not designed to handle an entire cart full of stuff. There is not enough space on the platform for everything. A few items is all it's meant for. I'm not taking a weeks' worth of food over it. This guy is rude, speaks overly loudly, and will even tell you about someone in his family who has breast cancer so that everyone in the store can hear it. He does not belong in Rancho Cucamonga. read more

Love this store. Every Ralph's in Rancho is great from my experience, however this one's more convenient than the rest due to the amount of fast food nearby lol and rite aid is also right next door. read more

I went shopping at Ralph's grocery store on Millikan and baseline before thanksgiving and had the miss fortune of having one of their shopping carts rammed into my front fender. I went into the store to report it was told I had to wait to call the manager the following day I called the manager I had to call several times before someone finally got back to me and took a report. They forward it over to the Kroger in another state after over a month they finally got back to me today stating that they couldn't prove that Ralphs employee was negligent even though they had video of the basket rammed into my vehicle. Now I have to come out of pocket to repair my own vehicle because they are refusing to pay for the damages. I will never ever shop at Ralphs grocery store or anyone affiliated with Ralphs or Kroger's because if this is how they treat customers Shame on them they will never get my money again. read more

The lady who works the flower stand is always unfriendly and angry. For the last couple of years i have gone there for Valentine's Day and EACH time she has been bitchy and in bad mood. She must be in 40s, brunette, shoulder length hair, and on the heavier side. I made the mistake of asking her for help today and sure enough she seemed cranky. Although the other lady (curly brown hair, younger) was nice, friendly and helpful. Every time I come in to the store it's empty. Nothing on the shelves. No one wants to help. They have a sign for Red Bull asking to find a manager. i go here to keep to myself and shop quickly a few times a week. most people are nice, but most don't greet me or say hello. i don't care, i'm there to shop not socialize. i will say though, Daniel is a super friendly fellow at the self checkout registers. he compliments and helps out customers and is 100% genuine. please give him some recognition and a raise haha read more

I went into my local Ralph's today to get some lunch I went in around 11:30 am when I went to get some soup I noticed there wasn't any I went and asked the deli lady politely if they had any soup she replied in a very rude manner and was like we're working on it! can't you see we're all busy! with a horrible attitude when I said okay I'm sorry I didn't know she just turned around and didn't even ask if I need anything else I then waited to get some chicken and was there for like 10 min waiting for her to finish what she was doing but she never said I'll be right with you or called for back up I ended up walking away because my lunch was over that's when another lady came and tried to help me but it was to late by that time I had already spent my 30 min waiting. read more

Five stars for being open on Christmas Day! Our family loved the mini pumpkin pies that I whipped up - and it couldn't have happened without Ralphs. Extra points to the friendly employees who directed us to the quickly dwindling supply of baskets. Being the only grocery store open in town must have been great for their business. I will always frequent this Ralphs, as I know now that I can always expect great service and holiday-friendly hours. And you can't ignore the amazing prices. $1 for nutmeg?! :) read more

This Ralphs is AWFUL! I think some of the reviewers are getting confused and thinking this is the Ralphs just below the 210 freeway - this is the Ralphs off of Baseline and Milliken. The picture that is being shown is NOT of this Ralphs. The customer service in this Ralphs is terrible. No one in the store is friendly or helpful. It takes forever to get anything from their deli section. No matter what day or time I go into the store, I almost never have someone there to bag my groceries. The cashiers and baggers are extremely unprofessional. I've had multiple experiences where they have completely inappropriate conversations in front of me. I have only been asked if I need help out with my groceries twice. Even when I was 7 months + pregnant and buying a cart full of groceries I only was asked once if I needed help! I have gotten meat, produce, bread,etc. that have all gone bad BEFORE the expiration date! The only reason I have returned to this store is because it is right next to my house, but when I'm not in a hurry I always go out of my way to go to a different store. read more
