First time trying this restaurant. Used Uber Eats. Food arrived fresh and hot and in a timely manner. Had the buffalo shrimp appetizer and oyster po boy. The shrimp were a nice size and breaded perfectly. So were the oysters. Wish there were more on the po boy, but it was still a very good tasting sandwich. We go in there quite a bit, & are always really happy with the food & drinks - the staff is usually very nice to us (but we do understand that everyone has a bad day from time to time). We LOVE the fajitas - get them with steak & chicken! Now...for all of these folks complaining about the smoking in there...why? Are you folks just unhappy people who look for things to complain about? It's not like they try to hide it, either. You know what you're walking into as soon as you walk into this place. I have worked in the industry for 15+ years, & they do an excellent job with their "smoke eaters". I don't smoke, & there are some times that I just don't want to be in all of it. So, guess what? I don't go in there...simple as that. I know that they're the ones who are opening the pizza place next door...& I know that the staff is getting irritated about everyone asking, all the time. Ralph's is a nothing fancy, come as you are, unpretentious place to hang out. It's the closest thing to "Cheers" we have found. When we visit we almost always see certain regulars along with occasional visitors. I have visited with one friend, I have gone with a group. We have enjoyed ourselves every time. I used to be a long time customer at Ralphs and experienced a few of the owners. But after the recent change to the new owner (Ross), I have seen the quality of the food decline and increase of drugs. The bar staff is ok with the exception of Brandon who is great. As far as Ross is concern, he does visit customer tables. Be aware that if you go later in the evenings he may have started drinking and it is hit or miss which Ross you will get. He will either hit on the women in the group, buy you a drink or ask you to leave because he does not want you around. It is a smoke friendly location but over the years the ventilation system has gone down hill or disappeared all together so don't be surprise if you can smell your clothes as soon as you get in your car. The regulars are relatively harmless and can be fun during TV sports events, the women will get hit on when their companion hits the restroom. Good luck. read more

Smoke is bad, bad, bad. What is otherwise an average neighborhood bar is sadly an ashtray that serves drinks. I get it that Ralph's is filling a void where smokers can eat, drink and smoke. Stopped in for a burger while the folks next door were changing the oil in my car. Service was good; the bartender was the only one waiting tables. Had potato skins and a cheese burger. Potato skins were average almost like something out of the freezer section at publix. Fries were ordinary crinkle fries. Burger was great. Fresh, juicy and tasted like it was grilled on a backyard charcoal grill. Just wish the put more than one pickle on the plate. read more

The restaurant was very cold inside. I had taken my coat off but ended up putting it back on since it was so chilly. There were people at the bar but only one other table getting food. The waitress was neither friendly or unfriendly. Just very matter of fact. It was late lunch/early dinner time. We were surprised to see an old fashioned working cigarette machine in the restaurant. We didn't think those existed anymore! I ordered the fajitas in both shrimp and chicken. They came sizzling and were VERY good! I highly recommend them. My boyfriend ordered shrimp and pasta in a marinara sauce. There was nothing on the menu saying this was a spicy dish. However, he was turning red when eating it as he said it was VERY VERY spicy. I don't know if that was a fluke or it is always that way. A week later he still goes on about how extremely spicy it was! He ate all the shrimp out of it but left behind a lot of the pasta. He said it was really good for someone who loves super spicy food but it had adverse effects on him! I would think if food is prepared spicy like that, it should say in the restaurant description or at least the wait person should caution that it is a spicy dish. The prices were kind of high considering the ambiance is nothing elaborate. The utentils we ate with look like they came from a super bargain restaurant supply. The service was slow and the waitress only got friendly and smiley when it was time to deliver the bill. These are the reasons for the 3 stars. The food was delicious for me but the price was high for the atmosphere, the room temp was cold and the flatware was flimsy and had dishwasher spots. We would go back again since it is close by, with a coupon perhaps, and my boyfriend would certainly stay away from potential spicy dishes. read more

My Girlfriend and I do "Girls Day" every Thursday and we always go to Ralph's Tavern, Thursday is Burger Day and you get a Fabulous Fresh Burger and Fries for 6.00, spend that at Fast Food. Great Dining Room, you can even smoke there...Husband and I go sometimes in the evening and the food is always wonderful, great prices, great variety of beers and drinks. Staff is great, food is always fresh and delicious...they have different specials during the week, always a great deal...check them out....you will not be disappointed. read more

I love Ralph's, but don't often eat here. Late one night recently, I realized I NEEDED a steak and baked potato. My husband just happened to be at Ralph's and just happened to see my plea for cow on the Facebook, and so asked me to join him when I left work. Arriving at Ralph's, I was greeted with the most amazing ribeye in the world. The loaded potato and grilled mushrooms were damn superb, as well. I enjoyed my late night feast so much that I went back after work the next night and had the same meal all over again. I moved here about 7 years ago and thankfully found this place and have been going non stop every sense, I have never been disappointed at all. Smoking is allowed but they are about to open a pizza parlor additional for the non smokers which looks to be pretty awesome. The food is already great trust me I've tried everything on the menu at some point and IT'S ALL GOOD, big portions and great prices. My only complaint is I can't give them 6 stars. Ralph's is a neighborhood bar, no more but no less and that's a good thing! When I say neighborhood I mean on several occasions I've gone in and seen my neighbors there and joined them in a pitcher or two or three. They have a good amount of beers on tap, a great waitstaff and good food. If you're looking for themed bar, this isn't the place. If you're for scantly clad waitresses, this isn't it either. But if you're looking for a nice hang out place where you can have a beer and relax, this is definitely the place. I do recommend the raw oysters, they're very good. I've been going here since I moved here 16 years ago and while they've had their ups and downs and menu changes, they've always remained the neighborhood bar where you go to have a few pitchers with friends. read more

Keep tabs on what the specials are for the drinks. They are the same every weekday each week, so it's easy to keep up with. And always $15 buckets during football season. Get on the good side of the bartenders and you'll be treated very well. This place is great for the regulars that like to be taken care of (the same things each time). Honestly, it's one of the few places I have ever eaten at where the food is nothing like it is anywhere else. I mean this in a very good way. The stuff is fresh, I mean the cheese sticks are breaded by the cooks and not from a frozen pack kind of fresh. I know, I worked there for a short time. And really, I don't usually go back and eat the food from places I previously worked at because it tends to scare me. But not here. I know it's done well and delicious. This is a great neighborhood bar! Not that I'm proud of it, but I know my way around bars, having spent the better part of my adulthood in all kinds of them, and Ralph's ranks up there with the best of them. The lighting is dim, but not dark. The place is clean, but not sterile (it has that "lived in' kind of feel). The drinks are strong and service quick and friendly. And the food is pretty damn good. I recommend the wings and philly cheesesteak. It's hard to explain, but Ralph's has that "real" bar kind of feel to it without being a scary dive. It's not corporate and plastic, real people work and drink there. It's the kind of place that is almost impossible to find in the corporate driven, Gap-loving, suburban nightmare that is metro-Atlanta. read more

Came here because it was on the way to the airport and yelp had high star ratings. Unfortunately I should've read the reviews, I was unaware that this was a smoking establishment and I could tell the minute I walked in. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the fact of smoking establishments, I just choose not to partake in those venues. But I was here, I figured what the hell I'll give it a go. We got here pretty early for a lunch around 11 o'clock the center of the place is full wraparound bar (and surrounding the bar were sitting right of what I could describe as Church pews made of all wood and it was very dark inside the establishment. It smelled of smoke as it should, but it wasn't overly strong that he forced me my wife and my son out. The service was quick, The staff was cheerful very clear about the specials and had a good disposition. The food menu was full of options, surprising for a place like this, Me and the wife ended up getting the roast beef sandwich/melt my son got your traditional chicken tenders and fries meal. For a pub/Tavern The food is on par for that type of establishment, it was good portions were decent but nothing I would go off the beaten path for. My sons chicken tenders and fries, well He's never met a chicken tender and fry meal he hasn't liked so take it for what it's worth. If I was around that area, and I had to find a place to eat real quick I would definitely stop back by and try some of their other options for food, but I wouldn't necessarily bring the family, maybe a biker buddy or something. read more
