You all need to buy the taquiza packs of 10 and 20 little tacos for your next event or big dinners! The presentation was also so cute! The limes, onion, salsa and cilantro were all served separately which is perfect for your picky eaters. The price was so reasonable for quality meat! I ordered ahead of time and on the day of I added another 20 pack and they were so accommodating! Fast and here's service!

I got some chicken and when I was about to grill, I saw this worms inside and all they could say is bring it back so I could just give you your money back really that's all you could do?

1 1/2 minute read: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bL3v4xfBhT8JaBNX8?g_st=ic Five Stars are worth giving. VALLARTA- Has pl;enty of parking. They adhere to CDC rules on TRump45 Virus. It's a clean store, The Staff goes beyond the call of duty to help you- when and if you need it. They stock most Latin American products you may need to make thos KILLER TACOS, ENCHILADAS, MENUDO, POZOLE or anything else you know how to make. If you follow me and notice I almost always give 5 Stars, its because I don't believe in thrashing a business on Line. I've had run-ins at VALLARTA, BUT THEY WERE SETTLED ...... ON THE SPOT. iF AND WHEN YOU SEE A Vallarta, STOP BY AND CHECK THEM OUT. P.S. They speeken-Inglis too. UPDATE 10/09/2025 It's been 4 years (already) since my first review and for those of you that take the minute or two that it takes to read a good short review, please leave us a signal, that you were here by 'LIKING' or a simple '' will do. Ok, a couple of days ago I needed some items for my "TACOS" dinner. So I mosy'd-on-down to Vallarta to see what I could get. While at Vallarta, I didn't feel like spending too much (time) making Spanish Rice so I went to the section on the West side of the food aisles. The, "La Cocina", is there. Fast Mexican food. I was immediately tended to by a very service minded, great smiling young Lady- ANNIE! I bought my Spanish Rice and a large "JAMAICA". I told Annie that I really appreciated the way she tended her Customers. On several visits to VALLARTA I could help but notice Annie's style. Besides her friendly demeanor, she really pays attention to you and doesn't seem like she wants to get rid of you so she can go to the next in line. Go get some good Mexican food at "LA COCINA", at VALLARTA and look for Annie. Tell her, "Remember that old man that came the other day, who bought Spanish Rice and a large 'NO ICE' Jamaica? Well, he told us how great you are and all!"

I went grocery shopping with my son and brother and decided to enjoy some lunch at their Cocina. Their food was delicious and you get a decent portion for what you pay. All their plates range in prices but are about $10-$11 dollars at this location.

This is one of my favorite Vallarta's in the Valley since Covid. The parking lot is huge and easy to get in and out of. It's huge inside with an amazing produce department and hot food/dining in area. The prices are great and they have the best freshly made tortilla chips, Pico de Gallo, and guacamole to go! The bakery is also wonderful. You can order specialty cakes for all occasions which are delicious! Their home made chicken tamales are Yummy! I recently purchased their pre-cut fruit which included: watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe for $9. Very sweet, juicy and lasted several days. They have lots of fresh dill (which is very hard to find), cilantro and avocados! I also like to get my 7 day candles here to keep on hand for a spell or 2. Xoxox

All the fat that we had to remove

This review is mainly for the meat department/butcher- the store itself is clean and the produce is fresh. The meat on the other hand- the butcher clearly doesn't trim any of the fat. This is the 2nd time that I go in two months where the ranchera meat was mostly fat. I purchased 10 lbs and at the end it was about 7 lbs of meat. We had to go purchase more meat from the vallarta on 13715 Vanowen-- which was better quality.

Valley Glen Vallarta is the best. Came here early to beat the crowd and do some Thanksgiving advanced prep with my friend. While Vallarta as a chain stays away from being like a Ralph's or Vons carrying too many brands Vallarta gives you less to overwhelm you. They have incredible deals on produce and refrigerated foods such as dairy, lunch meats, etc. Vallarta Valley Glen also carries a surprising amount of vegetarian and vegan products and currently have the best deals I've seen on Beyond Meat products.... though not so much for Follow Your Heart, Morningstar and Gardein brands which they sell a far amount of each here... The isles have more than plenty of space (length as well as width) to navigate through. Their wine and spirits section is well kept... most of the cerveza/beer is kept frio/cold...hard alcohol/spirits is kept locked up near the front half of the store, however they have several gift sets on display for the holidays on an endcap. When you checkout the lines move fast however... self checkout is so roomie and spacious it puts any other self checkouts around LA to shame... they keep their plastic bags stocked for purchased and there is always an attendant to assist you if there is an issue. The parking lot is massive though shared with a plaza of businesses. Definitely enjoy this location over others. The service is good as are the deals and product availability (they stay stocked).

Kroger brand is always the best bargain because it's the parent company of Ralphs. With everything in my digital shopping cart, I checkout and order pickup for free the next day. An employee at this Ralphs finds everything for me and bags it up. They bring it to designated parking spots on the lower level. I very much appreciate this personal shopping service. In the app, make sure to select this Ralphs location for the greatest selection, as it is one of the best in Sherman Oaks. Your shopping Items are kept in a special refrigerated section, so it stays fresh until you arrive to pickup (according to the employee who brought me my groceries last time). But don't worry, I could go pick them up at some random time tomorrow (I work an office job, that doesn't work for me) so instead of guessing when I might get groceries, I contacted customer service to help me cancel. Well only the store can cancel the order, so I got to waste 45 minutes with them only to have to go in and deal with this myself. Why have a customer service line if they literally can't do anything?

This will be my shortest review to date, but this Ralphs location has become my favorite Ralphs in…read morethe Valley for many reasons, especially today. I called the Seafood Department to place an order for some fried fish. I had called last Friday around 7:30 p.m. to order fish, but it was too late. Anyway, Adrian (sorry if I misspelled your name, sir) answered the phone and was very polite and courteous while taking my order. Now, this is a "you buy, we fry" service inside a grocery store, so I wasn't quite sure if I could call in an order. But after my last visit, where I placed an order and walked around the store while the fish was frying, I honestly didn't see why they wouldn't allow it. I originally wanted catfish fillets, but they were out. Adrian offered catfish nuggets as a substitute, but I passed. I then asked for red snapper or rockfish, but they had neither. I moved on to cod, but at $19.99 a pound, I said, "Not today." Finally, he told me they had tilapia for $10.99 a pound, so I ordered two pounds. He asked what seasoning I wanted, and I told him I wanted to try all three -- Cajun, lemon pepper, and one other that I can't remember. He told me it would be ready in 12 minutes, and when I arrived 12 minutes later, it was ready! It was fresh, hot, and delicious. I could hardly wait to get back home and eat it all lol. I will definitely be back next weekend. Thanks again, Adrian. :-)

Cart management has been terrible. Just one example: after 10 extra minutes of my chasing a cart down, someone dumped my items on a table when I wasn't looking and ran off with my cart. I lost another 10 minutes finding a cart but did not have to re-shop for my now one-only pickings. Even more frustrating is that many carts are disabled because the strip that locks them activates five feet inside the parking ln some places. 2. Parking has gone from bad to worse as they designate many kinds of reserved spaces. 3. Shoplifting controls have rendered large areas of the store effectively unusable. Kroger is the most controlling grocer. I just wish they took us into account beyond figuring out to charge too much for average produce. I don't need 10 isles of beverages at the expense of other variety...their club scans are not noticing there are few people in those isles.

Approached this one older man and asked him if he could make me a bowl of Poke, he said no, you have to do it yourself and as I was still talking, he kept walking away from me. I approached him and said"I am talking to you and you keep walking away from me". That is rude and unprofessional. He didn't even apologize. His name was Mario in the seafood department. Poke looked very fresh along with all the other toppings and ingredients. Just by looking at it, it was super OVERWHELMING! He had nothing else to do, because he had both of his hands behind his back and just walking around. If he wanted to to help me, then he would have. This was on the morning of 7/17/26 a little before 9AM. On the other hand, Tony, who worked the Sushi Bar, in the same seafood department, saw what happened and apologized on Mario's behalf. The fridge for Sushi and other ready made fish items was EMPTY. Tony asked me what is it that he can do/make for me? I replied Spicy Tuna roll. He even wanted to know how many pieces? I told him 8. Right away he went back into the kitchen and made me what I have requested. For 8 pieces was only (12.99). Not a bad price. Came back and handed me the Sushi. Got home and tasted the food and it was very fresh and delicious. Next aisle that I visited was their frozen section. Needed to buy few waffles. There were 2 guys, that absolutely refused to help me. Wouldn't even let me speak. So, I looked around and found the waffles that I was NOT looking for. I wanted the Belgian Waffles and didn't see any. Got the Vans brand Power Grain Protein waffles, and gluten free Original Waffles. So for 4 waffles together came out to be $18.89 with tax. Next disappointment was, went to check out and there was no one at the registers. Waited for like 5 minutes, until this woman came and turned the light on for register # 4. Couldn't catch her name. Store was in a very nice condition, very clean, and fully stocked. They have everything from A to Z. Nice music was playing overhead. I went today... wanted some sliced turkey from the carving station. No more full turkeys. Can't get dark meat or a drumstick. They only do the white meat breast. and it doesn't slice or taste the same as from a whole turkey. The salad bar has dropped in quality as well. No more black and green Olives. The hearts of palm are gooey... carrots are dried out. It is terrible. You can't even get a rubber band to hold the flimsy container closed!! They used to make really good Chicken tenders and fried chicken. They've changed the recipe on both and they are awful now. If you don't get them fresh out of the fryer, they are inedible. The produce is still high quality but not worth price. And other staples will simply bankrupt you. I've been to a couple of other Gelson's in the area and they all suffer the same drop in quality. It is a shame. I used to be willing to shell out extra $$ for a higher quality product. In the words of Inspector Clouseau... Not anymure!
