It's been years since I've been here and I don't know how I let that happen. I didn't know they had impossible burgers and I'm GLAD they do. My burger was hitting on everything I wanted. Really really luv this drafthouse on mass ave! Their menu is huge all their food has been spectacular and mouth watering! They have a very vast array of beers on tap and drink menu. I love to get their nachos which u can add a meat too and the pulled pork on top is really really tasty! I also tend to get the mushroom Swiss burger for entree it comes in pretzel bun that's fresh n warm and the mushrooms and cheese melted over a well made patty is delicious! The fries I luv to upgrade to "yogi style" which is their take on fiesta fries. They have pico, guac and queso on them , so savory and all very fresh! This place is one of my top 3 fav out of all the amazing spots on mass ave so check them out! I went to a concert at the Murat recently and we stopped in this bar/restaurant for a small and quick snack and a beer. It's an OK place to hang out. The food is acceptable enough. It wasn't busy when we went, but it was fairly loud. The atmosphere and decor is typical for this type of establishment. They have some tvs where you can watch any sport that's playing at the time. First time checking out Ralston's and I'm honestly surprised it took me this long. I've passed by this spot so many times going up and down Mass Ave and never stopped in. Ralston's feels like one of those classic neighborhood hangout spots. The kind of sports bar where you could easily strike up a conversation with someone new, and if you start coming in regularly, you'll definitely start seeing familiar faces. Amaya was our waitress. She was cool and a bit on the quieter side, but attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Ordered the chicken tenders with sweet potato fries, which came with a cream cheese dipping sauce. Everything arrived fresh and hot, which is always a plus. I also had my go to tequila sunrise along with a few green tea shots to round things out. LOL Overall, it was a solid first experience. Food and Drink: I had Ralston's for the first time! For dinner, I had the chicken tenders and the sweet potato fries (with cinnamon seasoning and cream cheese dip). The chicken tenders were of a standard decent size but hot and fresh. The fries were AMAZING!! Dipping them in the cream cheese was a flavor combo surprise and would love to go back just for those. For drinks I had a blood orange margarita and white tea shots. The marg alone was a 10/10 and the shots were 1000/10! Overall, I left with a good first impression, and would be open to coming back. Customer Service: Amaya was our waitress and she was cool, but introverted. However, all of our food and drinks were made correctly so we appreciate her being on top of our needs! I learned about Ralston's while working at the theater next door. One day, I was unfortunately harassed by one of their customers who was dining outdoors, but the server handled the situation and addressed the customer, which I appreciated. As for the food, I've only tried the spicy crab dip, and it is absolutely delicious. I'll definitely continue ordering it. read more

We came for an after work outing and had a great time. The server was awesome and very attentive. No issues at all. And the food was all incredibly delicious! Amazing beer selection and prices. Good food, but it's expensive. I went in to watch a WNBA game over dinner and drinks. I was very impressed with their great selection of beer. They have so many options on tap. They have a lot of options in bottles/cans, too. I did not try any, but they have a long cocktail and whine list, too. I ordered a Philly Hoagie and fries. For what it cost I don't think it was worth the price. But inflation is killing food prices right now. Despite that the Philly hoagie was AMAZING and the fries were great, too. I just wish it either cost less or I got just a bit more fries or a bigger sandwich for what I paid. The inside is like a sports bar. There are a few big TV's so it's hard to watch every game. I've had Ralton's bookmarked for a long time. Finally last night was the night to try it I guess! We came at a good time because as we were leaving it started to pick up. We both ordered the hot mess sandwich. Grilled or breaded chicken, smoked bacon, avocado, aged white cheddar, lettuce and sriracha mayo. I would order that again! The waffle sweet potato fries were crisp and went well with the brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese dip. Wow, that was such a great duo! Yum! The ranch they make is delicious if you're a ranch lover!!! I came here for the Pacers game yesterday with a large group. The whole dining room was full of large groups and we all took chairs that were just sitting unused at the time. The owner came and slammed two chairs down (clearly mad) and then yelled at the whole room and threatened to kick out the next person who moved a chair. I have been going to Ralston's for around 10 years. The food isn't as good as it used to be and it's more expensive, but that's ok because the vibe is usually good. I won't be going back because now that isn't even the case. I get that people get stressed, but if you own a restaurant and can't keep you emotions in check, let someone else run it. My table spent over $900 on drinks and food and to be spoken to like naughty children left a sour taste in all our mouths. None of us will be back and will be sure to let others know about our experience. read more

A long way from home for a work conference, Ralston's has changed the way I see Indy. Welcoming, delicious wings, and my favorite tequila (Lalo)...I couldn't have felt more comfortable. This was my first trip back here since the pandemic started. We were looking for a place that opened before noon for lunch and were happy to see Ralston's opened at 11AM on Saturday. We were definitely the first to arrive at 11:15, but others arrived not long after us. The big plus of having such an early lunch was that we could park right out front! The menu is newly very pared down; the sliders and flatbreads are gone as are many of the sandwiches. Per some colleagues, this seems to have happened in just the last week or so. Menu is via QR code on the table only and isn't formatted for mobile devices which makes it a little tricky to read, but it does work! We had the nachos and added pulled pork to those and also had the Bavarian bites. The nachos were delicious with lots of fresh toppings and the pulled pork was flavorful and a great addition to the nachos. The Bavarian bites were fresh, buttery pretzel bites and the cheese sauce and mustards were excellent. We also each had a salad. I had the Virginia Ave salad which came with grilled rather than the pulled chicken listed on the menu, but the chicken was cooked nicely and the greens and dressing were fresh and the granola added a nice crunch. We did not have beer or cocktails since we were eating so early, but the drink menu looks as impressive as always. Service was excellent. The decor is fun with bottlecap covered doors to the restrooms. The padded seats on the bench seats could use some love, as there are some large tears, but all was clean! I would definitely come back for a beverage and snacks/appetizers particularly in nice weather that would permit sitting on the patio. read more

Where do you bring a family of 8 on a Sunday for late lunch? Must be Ralston's! I had been here a couple times a few years ago (before my Yelp era), so I was happy to come back to try it again! The only thing I remembered deeply was that they had amazing Bloody Mary's! While perusing the menus, we ordered a couple appetizers: the nachos and the wings. The server offered to bring all the sauces for the wings on the side which was helpful in order to appease all of us! I won't go through what everyone ordered (mostly because I definitely wouldn't remember), but I ordered the A-A-Ron and my fiancé ordered Tanner's Hot, Wet, Messy Dream. Both the nachos and the wings were amazing!! I only tried two of the sauces for the wings and I don't know which was which, but the ones I had were really good! My favorite of the two was spicy I remember. It was a fan favorite at the table. The nachos were loaded and fresh!! Chips were still crispy which is a plus with loaded nachos!! Our food came out really fast considering there were 8 of us eating! My burger came with 2 meat patties which I knew was too much for me, so I gave one to my brother in law. I'm glad I did reduce the amount of meat because it was a FILLING sandwich. The bacon and pico complemented the burger perfectly. I also dipped it into the extra ranch from the wings which tied it even more together. I tried a bite of the chicken sandwich, and while it was great, I was more happy with what I got. We both had a variation of potatoes with our meals which we dipped in their fresh ketchup. I'm not sure if they make their ketchup themselves, but it's much sweeter than normal ketchup. I liked it, but I can tell it's an acquired taste. I dipped my fries in my ranch too so maybe that helped to balance the sweetness. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well! We were in and out pretty quickly. It wasn't busy which was lucky for us. We took a picture near the dart boards afterward. I really liked the vibe of all the trays with beer brands hanging up on the wall. Definitely would come back! Maybe I'll get another Bloody Mary next time!! read more

Alright, I think Indy is sleeping on Ralston's Sunday brunch. I have never seen anything on social media about it and cannot figure out why! Waffle tacos, biscuit sammies, and breakfast cocktails! They also serve their regular menu during this time too. The Farmhouse Burger sliders are my absolute fav though. Goat cheese, tomato jam, and sprouts on a perfectly cooked hamburger patty served on a pretzel bun. Pure perfection. They also have delicious beer bartered fries and their own house ketchup. Went to a performance next door and thought we would give Ralston's a try. It was iffy cold and raining so we ate inside The dining rooms are funny. Small room, down a couple stairs bigger room. Off to the right a bar. Outside seating. No one greeted us when we first entered It was dark and kind of musky/dirty looking. Since it was near Halloween a staff person came and seared us in a small room with a table of 12 She was dressed in a costume. Fun. When they left we were the only guests. Really quiet and kind of creepy. Like where are the customers? One couple came in but got up and left We had wonderful draft German beer. Dunkle in a cold glass but it went downhill from that The menu is so massive we couldn't decide on what to order and without other diners we were not sure we wanted to order. Finally we got two more beers, pretzel bites and bbq panini Pretzels, as long as warm from microwave were good. All the sauces, including the hot mustard were good The panini was 5 pieces of bbq on lightly toasted rye bread. I was looking to try something new so I decided on Ralston's for delivery. I had the tenderloin sliders with homemade salt and vinegar chips. Every sandwich comes as an order of 2 sliders on a pretzel roll. I was full after just one slider so they are pretty hefty. The tenderloin was fairly thick. The mustard slaw on top had some heat to it, maybe horseradish?? The pretzel bun was warm, chewy, and salty. I will always choose homemade chips over fries and the chips here were pretty good. I also got the ocarina of fries appetizer with sweet potato waffle fries. I meant to try just one and save them for later but the brown sugar cream cheese dip was so good, I just stood in the kitchen eating a bunch. DoorDash had a note that Ralston's was a top voted restaurant in 2021 for delivery but I look forward to stopping in the restaurant next time. read more

I ordered the A-A-Ron burger and asked for the Pattie's cooked medium rare. The waiter brought the food and it was cooked extremely well done. The patties were so incredibly dry that it was drying out my throat. The toppings the burger came with didn't even make it better- each bite was tasteless. I tried to flag down the waiter to tell him but he never walked by us the whole hour we were there and never stopped by to ask us how the meal was. This was an $18 burger that was absolute garbage. We wandered into this location while waiting for our reservation for dinner. The atmosphere is definitely bar style although I do think you're able to possibly have kids in there? I wouldn't quote me on it but it seemed family style on the other side; we were definitely on the bar side. Because we knew we weren't staying long we ordered drinks. I ordered a s'mores old fashion; I love s'mores so i was instantly interested. Mi Amor ordered the pumpkin martini and for once I would have to say he made the better choice. With the first sip of his drink you felt like you took a bite of a delicious slice of pumpkin pie. My drink was ok; I enjoyed the skull shaped ice cube more than anything. The drink tasted more peanut butter chocolate more than s'mores style was kind of disappointed. I wasn't sure what I thought it was going to taste like but def not that. We were visiting Indianapolis over the 4th and chose this drafthouse for dinner. Have to say the food was ok. Nothing special. Our server was less than enthusiastic and never bothered to offer ketchup for everyone who had fries. Getting refills on the sodas was also difficult. This was a delicious place to frequent before going to a play. We sat in the bar that had a huge window for natural lighting. It did take us a minute to get served and to get our checks, but given it was a Friday night it wasn't horrible. I got the Ash & Elm cider that was on draft and the Kuzo-dilla. It was DELICIOUS. I also got a side of their beer battered fries and it seemed like their ketchup was homemade and amazing as well. My friend also got a cider and the Hot Mess sliders and loved them as well! This was my first time visiting, and I definitely wish I would have known about this spot sooner! We sat on the patio which has lots of space and it so cute. We got the slider sampler and fries. The sampler is only $19 and is perfect to share instead of each getting your own meals- and so filling! I got the tenderloin slider which was incredible. It was crispy and had great spice.
