I had heard the burgers here were absolutely beyond the expectations of a small establishment. Got the Beer Burger with fries. Words cannot express the emotional response but I can tell you it was succulent, cooked perfectly, portioned well, and with a touch of divinity in the burger sauce. The service by the staff was friendly and exceptional. Gave me a sense of home. The beer was fresh and frosty from the tap which was perfect on a hot day. The atmosphere of the room was pleasant and inviting. Highly recommend this Eatery to anyone. If 6 stars was an option, I'd be asking to give 7. read more

Popped in here after attending an art fair at the tattoo shop next door. Was welcomed by the people in the bar. They let us know the bartender would be back soon, which she was. She greeted us immediately and took our order. We shared the Chewbacca burger and tots. This burger is for cheese lovers! It's a seasoned burger topped with cheddar and mozzarella, served between two grilled cheese sandwiches m, one with American cheese, the other with Swiss. I don't care for Swiss cheese, and I still thought this was very tasty! We also had PBRs. This was on a Sunday, and they also have free chili when the Colts play. I think that's a nice touch. I don't give many 5 Star reviews but this burger was the best ! I had The Cowboy which was cheese and bacon and grilled onions BBq sauce on Texas Toast. I upgraded to onion rings which were cooked to perfection and really good ranch dressing. My friend had the Chewbacca which was a burger between a Swiss grilled cheese and an American grilled cheese. Great neighborhood pub with good beer and good food. Stoped in while in the area to watch some football. This place is always a mixed bag of average or below average service. They can't keep cooks, especially not decent ones. Today they sent out beer mugs to the table that had what appeared to be cigarette ashes in them. The replacement mugs made the beer taste like soap. There is a nail sticking out of the booth that put a tear in my jeans. Unless you are a regular, graduated from Franklin Central, have not done anything in life beyond graduating from Franklin Central, don't try to sit in the bar. Service is usually very slow, the food was the only reason to go there. After today, we won't waste our time going back. It's a shame we can't get a decent pub in Wanamaker. read more

The first time the woman who answered the call was very short and very rude...whatever, food ended up being great. First attempt: Walked in and sat for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Server even made eye contact with us, but didn't think to actually greet us. Second attempt: Sat at the bar, got a philly... it was ok. Late night and wanted food, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Third attempt: Plastic in our burger. The server (crappy service again) went into the kitchen and proceeded to tell us where the mysterious plastic came from - A RAW MEAT PACKAGE. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

The awesome older guy who was the chef is long gone; his replacement, a younger tattooed guy (who made some awesome dishes) is gone too. The food is okay, but getting service, even when the place is slow, is a trick. Especially if you are in the dining room and not the bar. If I wanted mediocre food and lousy service, I'd go to Steak N Shake instead. We've lived in the neighborhood for almost 12 years and we've went into the bar side a few times just to grab a bite to eat. The "regulars" do not take well with having outsiders in the bar so they make it very uncomfortable for you to be there. But we didn't care how loud and obnoxious they were this place is close to our house. Now we only go on the dining side and for the most part we are treated very well. So far our favorite waitress/cook is Janine. She's always made us feel like we are welcome. I do enjoy their pizza and still need to try other foods but I'm not there yet. My husband loves their Italian Beef. There is another gal there that we think is nice from the kitchen she is a younger girl but those are the only 2 people that work there that are friendly and accepting. When we walk in and see someone else working we kind of groan to each other because we know the service is not going to be good or as friendly. But the more we go the more regular we become to the dining side. Hoping the other staff comes around but if they don't we will just go in when the ones we know are great are working. read more
