I almost hate to write a review for this place because of how great it is. Sometimes places like this are worth keeping a secret. This has that old school neighborhood bar vibe and I absolutely loved it. From the friendly service to the delicious food, my wife and I had an amazing time here. I can't wait to come back this summer once the driving range is open. read more

Had live music tonight which was good. I had a pizza which was ordered as a 14" and came out as an 18". Was supposed to be well done, that didn't happen. Kitchen made a mistake. Pizza was fair at best. Wouldn't order that again. It's a busy bar. It's my second time here. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot that draws everyone in. read more

We stopped in for the first time last night! We've heard the pizza is amazing, and that's exactly what we were craving! The bartender did an amazing job keeping up with the pace of patrons coming in the door. Everyone there was kind, drinks were wonderfully priced. We got our pizza to-go and it was so good! I went to Vinny's Drive bar last week, and got a16 in pizza with 2 meats and 3 veggie toppings, and 8 bread sticks, with cheese sauce for $23.99 plus tax. I thought that was a great deal. The pizza and the breadsticks were delicious. It was so good, that I went back today,and got the same thing, and I gave the bartender, a strange look when she told me it was $20.00, including tax. She said it was on special this weekend. Last week the menu, said that the $23.99 was a special, so today it must have been on super special. Try finding that deal anywhere else. The pizza has plenty of toppings and cheese, and the crust is thin and crispy. I won't go anywhere else for pizza, from now on. read more

We had food delivered via DoorDash. I called in advance since we had a large order and they stated that they could accommodate it. The food was good. We got pizzas, wings and salads. The wings were crispy which is how I like them. The pizza was cut into squares. We had pepperoni, sausage and cheese. Some of it was stuck to the box and hard to get out, I am not sure why. Maybe a plastic server would be good. The order came at least forty minutes after the time we requested and paid for the express option and for 12 pizzas, two salads and three orders of wings came with no paper plates and two forks. We had it delivered to a hotel so expected plates and cutlery. I can't comment on the ambiance since we had it delivered. read more

This is the definition of a dive bar. There is a decent sized private lot to park. They have a very nice covered patio and a dining area. Of course they have a full bar with seating and televisions placed around the bar. The bar also has a digital juke box and dart boards. It is an older bar that is very basic and nostalgic inside. This is a locals bar and is very friendly and welcoming. The bartender/server, Tiffany, was awesome. She was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Vinny's is co-located with a pizza joint named, Rolyno's Original Pizza. You will find signature cocktails, lunch and drink specials, and a nice food menu that consists of wings, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. I wanted some of their wings that I had heard so much about, but unfortunately they were out of them. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. It was fresh, hot, tasty and delicious. I loved the burger. The meat was seasoned perfectly and was so good. I ate at the bar and it was a good atmosphere. But, you also have the option of calling in your order and getting carryout. Food delivery services such as Grubhub also services the bar (food only though). I enjoyed my lunch here. It is a nice spot and a diamond in the rough. I highly recommend checking this spot out for good drinks and delicious food. read more

This place is for rednecks The bartender woman was bickering with the cook constantly and calling him names I'm not sure how clean the kitchen is There was a nice hard working lady back there - and a guy named Corbin - he seemed concerned A simple chicken sandwich took forever They told me they were out of wings and then a guy came in and ordered wings... Don't waste your time if you want a tasty lunch and then to get back to work the bartender lady was so unclassy it pretty much ruined my appetite read more

Asked for the fry's to be extra crispy, got luke warm fry's, told the waitress I wanted the cheeseburger plain and dry, and not to put anything on the plate. Got LTO and pickles on the plate. Burger was ok. It took over 50 min for order to delivery to table. Waitress was nice though. Bathroom was disgusting!!!!!! read more

Can we start with how ginormous their nacho platters are?!?!! Vinny's is a super fun, neighborhood pub with live performances on the weekend. The atmosphere is always so homey, which I love, and the bartenders are super sweet. I'm definitely overdue for another visit! :) Grab a friend or two and stop at Vinny's. Food is the "bar-fare " you might expect but it is very good in taste and cooked properly however , the most remarkable is that it is served with courtesy and respect and friendliness that makes you feel as if you've been a regular there for years . We stopped there after a late late night return from Riley Hospital and we were worn out emotionally , mentally and physically, the staff treated us like their own and due to that we will always go back there ! We stopped by to grab a snack while running errands in the area. We ordered the loaded fries, big serving and more than enough for two people. Beers were also very cheap. The service was friendly and they also had a nice outdoor patio and a few dart machines. Nice little spot and if we are in the area again we would probably go back. read more

Hubby and I decided to try this place one evening. It's a typical locals bar kinda feel. I feel like we were the only ones that hadn't been there before. The food was pretty good. I got the tenderloin. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the worst. I legit enjoyed my meal. Hubby got a burger and said it was a typical burger. He was also happy with his meal. Overall, it's a bar. It's a locals bar. It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, so if you're looking for smoked cocktails or fancy glittering drinks...you need to drive a bit further and go somewhere downtown. This bar is the kinda place you go after a honest day of work when you just want some decent food and a cold beer to wash it down all served with a smile. Prices were good for what ya get. We came, we saw, we devoured. Awesome bar with a relaxed local vibe We drove from Pittsburgh to prepare for the Indy 500 Festivities. We found this bar (thanks to the Yelp community). The restaurant is attached to a driving range with a pretty good size outdoor section for dining and drinks. We sat at the pretty large L-shaped bar and ordered some food. Pizza - I would imagine the crust is St. Louis style (no yeast, baking powder) which makes it thin and dense. It is topped with pepperoni and cheese. Next time, I think I will get sausage since the pepperoni can't crisp up. Very good pizza. Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with Onion Rings - Indy is known for the Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches. This deep-fried masterpiece was crispy and tender. The Onion Rings were probably the best I ever had. Katie (our Bartender) was awesome. The regulars were awesome. It was a great time. We come here once a week. My office brings in 4-6 for lunch. The server knows our drink orders and is ready for a few specials if we deviate from the usual. She is efficient and works quickly to get us in and out in a timely manner. The chef salad is massive. Usually good for two meals for me. I also enjoy the club and at times the special for the day. It's a great affordable lunch right around the corner from our office. Nice outdoor seating options during the warmer months. read more

Vinny's was a great experience from the first call. They answered the phone very happy! When I call and I can feel the great service through the phone it makes me even more excited to eat there. We ordered the stuffed bread sticks, chicken wings, fries and onion rings. The stuffed bread sticks and wings were perfect! However I was a bit underwhelmed by the onion ring portion. We did order an half order but there were literally 4 onion rings. I will for sure order a full order for reference next time. Now I am a fry person so that is always taste them first and I feel like there is a missed opportunity there to season well but I did like the portion size. My wings and nachos were excellent. Myself and a few friends went there after a day party and were met with good service and good eats. The drinks are reasonably priced as well! We went in on an early Saturday. There was seven of us. Everyone got their meals in a timely manner except me. I enjoyed the grilled tenderloin. I had ordered onion rings. They told me that they ran out and were making me fresh. We, just as I finished the sandwich, my rings came. I took them home in a to go box. We had ordered the mushroom fries. They are quite different and very tasty. My son ordered a BLT. He found it very good. We also ordered a pizza to go. It was wonderful. Definitely worth it. It was one of the best I have tasted. Made just the way we like it. My husband got the Breaded Tenderloin. He enjoyed it. The air was on and it was slightly chilly, but not bad with a jacket. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. We will be doing this again sometime in the future. The parking lot is large enough to hold a large crowd. The atmosphere was that of a typical bar/ grill. The music was fine. There is a jute box that you can control with your phone. There also video games. Of course you can also buy a bucket of balls and go to the driving range. It is really a fun place to come and enjoy. read more

My husband and I ordered doordash on a Saturday for lunch from Vinny's after seeing a picture of their pepperoni breadsticks. We got the breadsticks, the BLT, and breaded tenderloin with grilled onions. The food was pretty good. It stayed warm in their packaging for a 15 minute drive which is truly impressive because that doesn't happen often. The BLT was pretty good, I wish the bacon was a little less fatty but it was satisfying. The breaded tenderloin was good too and pretty big. The grilled onions were a little disappointing as it was just 4 pieces of onion but for the additional charge we thought there would be more. Both sandwiches came with a bag of classic Lay's chips. Breadsticks were awesome! The cheese is a little less melty/stringy as they cool off so eat then hot and fresh and they're perfect. I'd stop in or order to-go again but I'd forego the grilled onions next time. read more

I had the bacon cheeseburger that was on special and dang, let me tell you, it was great. My mom and I are on a quest to find the best cheeseburger on the west side of Indy and Vinny's burger definitely rated pretty high on our scale. Vinny's has quickly be come my favorite place!! Bar none! Pun intended! The staff is beyond professional and just down right fun. After a few times going in Super bartender Katie new my order! Cowboy Kevin is literally a chef !! Oooooo some of his creations are superb! For Christ sakes they have Rolynos pizza! Nuff said! From the owners ,the staff,to the regulars, this place is a hit TV show where when watching you wish you could go to a place like it. YOU CAN CAUSE ITS REAL!!! The patio!!! My wife and live on the North side of town, every time we go to the West side of town, we have to stop and get either favorite dish or try something new. Went in @9 on a Sunday so it was dead except for a couple drunk regulars. The bartender was awesome. Super friendly and attentive. But also gave you your space. The wings: 10 out 10. Ranch dressing 9 out of 10. Tenderloin: 9 again. The fries? Disappointing 5-6. Not hot or crispy. I'd order crispy next time. The loaded chicken fajita nachos: the queso was too salty. No fajita taste or peppers. Queso Way too salty with chips. Chips were great. Salsa nice and smoky. The veggies on nachos were plentiful and fresh! The chicken is what gives this place a 4 and not 5, it was premade chicken from a bag-so I picked the chicken off. It was cold to boot. Bartender recommended pizza next time and the pics do look good. Low key, dive bar. Great service. My kind of place! We will be back for sure! No nachos for me tho :) read more

We were there for about an hour and a half. I would definitely return. The vibes were slow paced. We moved on to The Checkered Flag. Wowza!! It was a Thursday night but the place was hopping. We were joined by another friend with plans to have a bite to eat. The menu is unbelievable. So much to choose from. We were kind of boring because 3 of us chose the same thing and the other two chose the same item. Two had the pork tenderloin. Both agreed it was excellent. Three of us had the BBQ Pork spud. It's a giant baked potato with butter, a good spread of pimento cheese, moist pulled pork, BBQ sauce, coleslaw and green onions. It was fantastic. Normally the pork can become a bit dry. This was not the case. Cooked perfectly. I was able to order the Old Fashioned. They apologized because they were out of oranges but I was fine. It was a very good drink. There happened to be two musicians performing. I was quite impressed. This tavern was very very impressive. We all agreed to return Our final stop was Herrmann. It's a small brewery tucked away off a quiet street. We were offered several tastings of the beers on offer. We were all able to find something to our liking. I had a porter. There are tables for four spread around the seating area. It's comfortable and definitely a neighborhood haunt. All three places were definitely neighborhood taverns. The Checkered Flag was hands down the best! Indy has so much to offer!

During my recent visit, kids were freely throwing footballs and baseballs around crowded tables where people were trying to eat, drink, and relax. One overthrown baseball nearly hit one of my dogs. I fully support family-friendly spaces, but the patio should still feel safe and enjoyable for everyone. Allowing ball throwing in a packed dining area creates unnecessary safety risks for guests, servers, and pets. A simple rule against throwing footballs/baseballs in the seating area -- or designating a separate play space -- would make a huge difference and help preserve the relaxed brewery environment many customers come for. The beer and staff were great, but the outdoor experience would improve significantly with a little more structure and supervision.

The vibe is relaxed with music piped through, and a couple TVs in case you want to watch sports or a movie while sipping your beer. The food is legit, and the tap list delivers. Let's start with the pizza. They've got all the classics--cheese, pepperoni, sausage, veggie, BBQ chicken, buffalo--but the creative pies are where this place really shines. The brisket pizza with Alabama white sauce is interestingly good, and the pepperoni, basil, pesto, ricotta, hot honey pizza is next-level amazing. The house-made dough is dialed in and ties everything together beautifully. Pair that with a draft beer and you're set. The taproom regularly pours a good lineup from Narrow Gauge Brewing Company--IPAs, stouts, lagers, plus at least one fruity sour. Personal favorites include Atlantic (an English-style barleywine) and Galaphobia (milk stout), but you can't go wrong with a DDH IPA, Lining the Walls Hefeweizen, or the flagship OJ Run. Not in a pizza mood? The giant pub pretzels with beer cheese and mustard are perfect for sharing (or not ). Or grab an order of house-made breadsticks with garlic butter or homemade marinara for dipping. We've gone a few times and most recently during their Darkest Beer Days event. And it did not disappoint--an awesome way to celebrate the Winter Solstice with great dark beers and guest taps. I appreciate that they highlight not only Narrow Gauge, but also other Midwest breweries like Streetside Brewing, Butchertown Brewing, Maplewood Brewery & Distillery, and Transient Artisan Ales at this special event. Bonus points: the owner shared that they'll close the taproom for private group events, and if your crew likes pinball, there are a few machines to keep things fun between pours. Definitely worth considering! Fantastic food, great beer, creative events, and a nice atmosphere--this place is an absolute win. We'll keep coming back (and bringing friends) and hope to see this place do more events in the future.

After trying them all slowly with a charcuterie board and conversation, over a period of 90 minutes, there were only 2 wines that I liked, and only 1 of them that I would ever order a glass of. This experience was fine, and the place is nice, but considering it is a tasting, I expected to learn about the wines. No information was shared with us when we made our selections. Lastly, we noticed there were two other groups at the bar, each of them with a different tasting set ups. They had large glasses in a row with all their options in front of them, but we were given a mini glass that was refilled when we made new decisions. I'm not sure what the difference was.
