I had to get all the way to a supervisor to get the crew to stop working. They did in fact need to change the design but never reviewed it with me. A third design had to be done and they still put the sump pump right in front of my hot water heater, they did not pitch the one side enough so water sits there, left my driveway full of small and large metal shavings (and I have 2 young kids and 2 dogs who run in the backyard), did not clean up other materials, did not remove the dirt they dug up in the basement (told me I had to pay extra, you would think for 24k it'd be included. They also went to dig up my patio to run the water line, which could have been adjusted a few feet to not dig up an entire patio- again, no one would listen until I spoke to that one supervisor again, it was unreal. There were multiple times they were scheduled to come and never showed or showed on a different day then was scheduled, at least 4 times, and the crew had no idea. Fast forward to my yearly inspection, where he recommended I get a dehumidifier, and I was confused bc I paid to get one (that was one of my main things before I got talked into upgrading to a 24k job). They NEVER installed the dehumidifier and there has been new mold growth. They were not forthcoming with pics but sent a crew to spray, the crew had no idea what they were spraying for. They finally installed the dehumidifier and now I'm waiting for them to return to fix the encapsulation which is pulling apart, for the thousands of dollars it was, it was not worth it. The entire job was not worth it (3 columns designed to hold up large buildings, used to hold up my tiny house), encapsulation, dug around the edges, put in a sump pump, and now the dehumidifier. I would NOT recommend!!!!

Had a large, obtrusive puddle forming in my driveway every time it rained, which would stay there…read morefor several days during the winter, and which was also blocking the pathway to my back door. Paul at Allied worked with me over the course of four months figuring out the best way to deal with the problem. The solution was a channel drain that would lead to my existing gutter drainage system. Because of the topography of my existing driveway, I assumed that there would still be a fair amount of puddling even after the drain was installed and that I would just have to live with it. In the days just after the install however, it rained quite a bit, and the drain worked pretty much perfectly. The puddling has been reduced by about 95%, and the water that does collect is shallow enough to handle easily. After the rain stops, the remains evaporate after a few hours. The small lake that I used to have to walk around is gone. The guys who did the install were professional and very courteous and Paul was very knowledgeable and patient in response to my many, many questions and emails leading up to the install. Would definitely recommend Allied for any project, large or small.

When Alex arrived, he immediately commented how nice our house is and had ideas to go with the siding that we were looking to replace. His team were respectful and considerate of our needs: as we sometimes work from home, there was a time that we had to ask them to pause some construction while we were on work calls. Alex made some siding suggestions that we never thought about and are very happy with his ideas. He also suggested a change with our front porch lighting and soffit and WOW, we love it. Regarding cost, GAB Construction were very reasonable, and the little additions that they did were well worth it! Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family.
