My family of four, wife and two daughters, visited The RAM in Lacey today to celebrate Father's Day. We have been loyal customers of The RAM since 2019 and regularly visit the Lake Stevens and Marysville locations. We genuinely enjoy the food, atmosphere, and service, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Upon arrival, we waited approximately 10 minutes to be seated, exactly as the host advised. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, both of which arrived within a reasonable timeframe. From the time we sat down until we received our drinks and appetizer was roughly 15 minutes. After that, however, the experience quickly deteriorated. It took another 15 minutes or more before our server returned to take our entrée orders. The server apologized for the delay, which we appreciated, but unfortunately the delays only became worse. We then waited approximately 45 additional minutes for our main entrées, nobody checked in on our table. By the time the food arrived, our patience had run out and what should have been a special Father's Day meal had become frustrating and exhausting. I immediately asked for the bill and boxes. To make matters worse, not all of our food was delivered at the same time. We continued waiting for our pizza, and when it finally arrived, the center was soggy, undercooked, and literally falling apart. At that point, we chose not to send it back because we simply wanted to leave and salvage what remained of our family's celebration. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication and leadership throughout the entire experience. When I asked why service had been so slow, our server explained that several employees had called out. While staffing shortages can happen and are understandable, the responsibility for managing those situations falls on leadership, not on the frontline staff. The restaurant did removed our appetizer from the bill and provided two burger vouchers, but that does not address the larger issue. Despite obvious service issues throughout the restaurant, no manager ever came to our table to explain the delays, apologize for the experience, or demonstrate any concern for my family who was being affected. The only acknowledgment we received was from our server even though she didn't check on us or give us updates on our food. The real failure here was not the staffing shortage itself--it was the management response to it. If leadership knew they were significantly understaffed, guests should have been informed before being seated or before placing orders. A simple announcement from the host explaining that food service was running substantially behind would have allowed customers to make an informed decision about whether to stay or dine elsewhere. Instead, my family was left waiting without information, while expectations remained unchanged. What made the situation even more confusing was watching a larger party seated after us receive their food, eat, and leave before our entrées were ever served. That only reinforced the perception that the restaurant was not effectively managing its operations during the shift or worse, our family was less important than other families seated there which would be heartbreaking if it were true. This is directed at the leadership team that failed to properly support an obviously understaffed staff and failed to communicate honestly with its customers. And making my family feel very less important than others. I have always enjoyed The RAM and hope this was an isolated incident. However, on one of the busiest dining days of the year, management's lack of preparation, communication, and customer care turned what should have been a memorable Father's Day celebration into a disappointing experience. read more

I'm writing to share a disappointing experience that has made me seriously reconsider returning. Our group of six came in to enjoy dinner and drinks and watch the College Basketball National Championship--one of the biggest sporting events of the year. After initially having to request from the manager to ask have the game be put on, it was eventually shown. However, with about 15 minutes left in the game, the manager abruptly switched the main big screen to a Seattle Mariners regular-season game. This happened multiple times and was confusing and frustrating to everyone in the bar. At one point, the decision was put to a public "vote," which created an uncomfortable atmosphere and even led to conflict between guests. Prioritizing an early-season baseball game over a national championship in a sports bar setting was baffling. After the Mariners game ended, the manager was nowhere to be found and the staff were unable to switch the Big Screen back as this was a "Management decision". Eventually a Pottery show came on the big screen and Guests--including our group--were left turning around to watch smaller TVs across the room just to finish the game. Consequently , we--and others--closed out tabs and left out of frustration. Customers gathered outside the restaurant and couldn't believe this had happened. This experience showed a clear lack of leadership and awareness of what customers expect in a sports bar environment. If you're looking for a reliable place to watch major sporting events, I would strongly caution against this location. I hope this feedback leads to meaningful changes, because right now, the customer experience--especially during marquee sporting events--is being overlooked at this Lacey Ram location. read more

The 1971 pizza sounded really good with all the various meats and toppings so I decided on that. But something I didn't anticipate was just how much excessive oil from the pepperoni, Italian sausage, and Canadian bacon there would be. My initial thought was wishing the crust was crisper as it was already soft right when I started eating it. And it only got softer and wetter the longer it was out. I will give them credit though, their house made red pizza sauce was honestly so good!! I loved it!! The flavors tasted like something you'd get from a high end pizzeria. But with the crust just completely saturated with oil so quickly, it wasn't really a satisfying meal. I'm hoping I can toss a few leftover slices in our air fryer and maybe that will crisp up the bottom to give it a more satisfying texture and taste. And I'd be curious to try just a cheese pizza and see if there is still excessive oil on that or if it's any different than the 1971 with the huge amount of toppings. I feel like this pizza has so much potential too! But unless you enjoy super oily, super wet crusted pizzas, I would skip them. read more

Excellent brewery with a full menu. When hunting for a place to enjoy a good brew with food it is challenging to find one with food. If food is offered it is mostly pizza and salad. Ram was within short travel distance from my hotel (heavy rainfall that evening), offered in house brews, and had a full menu. Menu had appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, steak, pizza, and deserts. Service was top notch. I was quickly served and drinks filled when needed. Beer choices even offered a few seasonal options. Overall, enjoyed my meal, atmosphere, and service. Recommend to anyone if in the area. read more

Great Happy Hour deals at the bar from 3-5pm on weekdays! Seat yourself and our waitress came right away and came to check on us frequently. The Grapefruit of Wrath was fruity and refreshing, and the house margaritas really hit the spot. The pickle chips were seasoned and crispy with a zesty dipping sauce. The grilled chicken Caesar was the perfect size. The carnitas tacos with rice and beans were only $8 and it was so much food! We have become regulars at the Ram, both dining in and for carry out, so it's time to write a review! I think the Ram reviews here have resulted in less stars than they deserve. Food - our usual go-too is the 1971 Classic pizza, which is always delicious. We like the crust, which is made with beer, the sauce is tasty and just saucy enough, the cheese and toppings are plentiful and flavorful. We also like the pickle chips and wings. We recently tried their burgers and were happy to find that they fill the burger void in Lacey. The patties appeared to be hand-pressed and are flavorfully seasoned. Ours were cooked medium-rare as ordered. They have a nice flavor of flame-grilled and were nice & juicy. The only downside are the buns, which don't hold up well to the burgers & toppings. We chose fries & fry sauce for our sides. The potatoes are hand cut and tasted really good. Beer - the Ram's $9.99 growler fills are the best deal in town. They have a good variety of beers and we always find one we like. Service - the servers we have had have all been friendly and attentive. When the kitchen gets backed up it can take awhile to get your food, so we sit in the bar, enjoy a beer and watch sports while we wait. Ambience - definitely a sports bar vibe. Lots of TVs to watch whatever game/team you want. They also have a patio that is open seasonally. read more

Ambience is good, waitress was pleasant but not overtly, grabbed our drink orders and assisted with appetizers. Ordered our food but waited a long time. Steak sandwich was pretty good, AJ just accompanied it well, the steak was cooked perfectly although it was very small for the price; burgers were typical - the chimmichurri burger had too much arugula, Mac and cheese was ok; can't go wrong with chicken fingers; the fish and chips had too much breading. Also who makes a Shirley temple without cherries? Kids were a little disappointed. 9 people ate; expensive. Their menu used to be better with more steak options which is what we came for but I guess I hadn't been there in awhile. Went to the RAM today with a friend and was totally underwhelmed. The server was a very pleasant woman but she had on so much perfume we nearly choked. I can't believe a restaurant would allow that. The food was only average - not bad, but not remarkable. The server didn't return except to bring the check. Then, an ear-splitting hammering started. It was so loud we could not talk. Turns out there was work being done on the roof! Roof work is understandable, but if your guests can't think let alone talk then have it done when the place is closed! Hubby wanted to do date night and left it up to me on where we should go to eat. I'm all about trying new places we haven't been to if we can so I'm glad we visited Ram for dinner! The food was so good, the place was nice and the service was wonderful. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and led to a booth (we love sitting in booths together). Our waitress Sam was nice and patient with us while we were deciding what we'd like to eat (whenever we visit a place we've never been to before we take awhile to look over the menu but Sam was extremely patient and gave us time and answered all questions we had to help us narrow down our decisions). Their menu has a really good amount of options to choose from. My husband ordered the Hefeweizen beer and really liked the taste of it. For our food, we decided to go with some mac and cheese to share (we added pork belly, sausage, and bacon; each meat add on is a couple bucks each), my husband got the Santa Fe Rodeo Smash Burger (unfortunately they were out of smash patties but they gave him wagyu which he always likes), and I got the Focaccia Club with tater tots (small upcharge for upgrading to tots). Our food was so delicious, flavorful, plentiful in portion size and at just the right temperature. We were able to save a bit when the bill came since they offer military discount, thank you for supporting our service members! Asked the waitress about the order after 40 minutes and her response was, "I just checked with my coworker." Get this--nachos are charred waiting under the heat lamp. Cobb salad? Awful. Wings? Nowhere to be found. I spoke to the manager and was refunded the cost of the food. He invited me to take the food home. Best he could do was refund the meal & offer me a free app. Get this--no chicken on the nachos. Is this how you do business? Is this worth waiting 50 minutes for? read more

We hadn't been to the Ram in a couple years and decided to grab a few appetizers. We came in around 6 pm and were seated nearly immediately. We were greeted by the server almost immediately and quickly had our drinks. We then ordered 3 appetizers- mozzarella sticks, fried cauliflower and boneless wings. For sauces we asked for both ranch and blue cheese. The three appetizers took nearly an hour to get. By the time they arrived the mozzarella had re-solidified. The marina sauce was so thick it had the consistency of tomato paste, was only slightly more flavorful, and you couldn't get it to stick to the cheese - it just fell off in clumps. The boneless wings were over-cooked and tough. The ranch did not taste like ranch and the blue cheese did not taste like blue cheese. My son hates blue cheese - it makes him physically recoil when he tastes it - he could eat it without bothering him... almost no blue cheese flavor whatsoever. The only bright spot in the food was the fried cauliflower- it was fresh tasting, crispy and a happy surprise. As far as service and ambiance the service after the order was taken was slow. It's the Ram so noise is a given and not surprising or unexpected. The family behind us letting their kids play videos on their phones and tablets was not the restaurant's fault but was a constant annoyance through the meal especially when they started turning up the volume because of the back ground noise of the restaurant. While the experience wasn't all that great - you eat out for the food. It is for the food quality alone that I would recommend going anywhere else. It's not cheap enough to say it's a bargain and it's not good enough to go for the quality. There are a lot of other establishments where the food is fresher and better quality for the same price. The service (nearly an hour for appetizers) and the ambiance were the final nails in the coffin. You work hard for your money - spend it wisely somewhere else. read more

We had dinner here the other night and while the food was very good, what really stood out was the manager. We had a bit of an issue, but the manager handled it quickly and professionally. He even checked on us personally during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking. That kind of personal touch is rare these days, and it didn't go unnoticed. All in all, a great night out. First off, I apologize for taking no photos of the food! We were greeted by a hostess who sort of set the mood of negativity. She sat us in the bar and when we asked to sit at the bar, practically threw the menus at us, causing me to drop some of the menu items. BUT thankfully the dinner was saved by Trevon, he was a fantastic bartender! Easy to spark up relatable convo, suggest items and drinks. My husband LOVED the house blonde. I really am thankful for the low carb and healthy items they provide. I REALLY appreciate the burger side items as fries, chips or salad instead of $2 extra for a salad. We stopped for a late lunch yesterday at the Lacey WA RAM restaurant. We were happy to see they weren't busy when we arrived. I ordered the RAM cheeseburger/no bun. The server asked if a "bit of pink is okay?" I said yes because I didn't want a piece of leather. When my burger came it was wrapped in about 2 inches of iceberg lettuce and then paper. I only asked for no bun, not lettuce wrapped, so I opened the paper to remove the lettuce and blood ran out all over my plate. I cut into the burger patty and it was completely cold and raw and bloody. I showed the server and she took it and had another patty made without lettuce. It came back with no tomato this time, but cooked. When I got the bill I was charged twice, so I had to point that out to get it corrected. I took the patty home in a box, since my husband was done with his meal by the time I got #two. Server was nice, but should have noticed the overcharge, and should have given a discount for the problems. Kitchen staff needs more training. Wish I had taken a photo. read more

French Dip is generous- but my favorite part about coming here was their house made potato chips. They've discontinued them the server told me. The service was OK, could've been better as we had to wait a while for refills, although they did make garlic fries for us even though it's not on the menu anymore. The wagyu burger didn't taste any different from a regular burger, which was disappointing. The French dip was mediocre as the aus ju had zero flavor. It just tasted like beef flavored water with no salt. It was very disappointing, especially considering the high prices. We had been to the ram in Lakewood before this one and had a great experience , I honestly had better expectations of this one and I was let down. Service was bare minimum, host couldn't even crack a smile. Food was good however they charge 25 cents for SAUCE . Which is insane , I've never seen any other restaurant aside from McDonald's do that. Also our drink glasses were nasty and after showing the waiter and him bringing back 3 new glasses the new ones were just as gross . Literally went and got my Stanley from my car after that. Ambiance was great until I looked back at our wooden headboard area and realized how sticky and gross it was. Wondering if that ever receives any wipe down. The waitress snipped at my wife when she said excuse me to ask a question while she was taking the order saying, "Wait until I'm done taking his order, or I'll make a mistake." Then when we asked to move to another table because of door draft, she said in a very contentious manner, "it's going to be just as drafty over here . ." When my wife said, why are you being so rude, she started arguing saying she wasn't being rude. Her friends/customers were sitting in the next booth as they said goodbye by name to the waitress. The customers in a large white SUV swung into us with their car like they were going to hit us when we were headed to the parking lot, rolled down the window and shouted expletives and insults at us. I think they are regular customers. If i had gotten a license, i would have called police. Never going back and we were regulars. Swung in here on a Thursday and checkout there happy hour specials! They had $6 house wine and Tito's cocktails. They also had lots of happy hour food specials. We choose the pork tacos for about $6 you got two tacos filled to the brim. We choose to add guac for an extra $2, I think I would skip it next time and just have it plain. We also ordered the clam chowder and the Mac and cheese burger with the impossible burger patty. The clam chowder was worth it, but the Mac and cheese burger was to die for. I would not like to know what the calorie count ended up being but I will just have to go for a jog later to make myself feel better. The service was great and restaurant was clean. read more

I've tried a lot of their menu items, and they've all been very good. Their battered shrimp were very light and crispy, despite being done with a batter which usually tends to be greasy. Stopped in during a break from an event at the local high school. Atmosphere is a fun sports bar. I liked the local support with flags representing the nearby schools. Fun outdoor seating when weather permits. The hubs and I shared the Olympus salad with the blackened chicken. I swapped out the dressing for a tarragon vinaigrette on the side but there was so much flavor on the salad, I really didn't need any dressing. It was delicious and perfect to split. I liked that we said we were going to share it, and the salad came out split. Nice touch! Also shared the tots. Could have used some seasoning salt as they were bland .
