This place is dirty, and gross. I would never stay here again and recommend that you don't, either. My room -- awkwardly laid out, just like the entire hotel -- was musty, humid, and had a dirty carpet, peeling paint, a minuscule cube shower, swivel chair stuck in the down position, ironing board and plush seat deeply stained with who-knows-what, a shower faucet I couldn't fully turn off, and while I was here the toilet backed up. (Thank you to the wonderful housekeepers who work hard here - they have a helpless task trying to clean these threadbare carpets and drapes...) Stay somewhere else. This hotel advertises that they have air-conditioning. I traveled there during 90+ degree weather. The air conditioning did not work help was absolutely useless. The windows couldn't be opened. They also charged an additional hundred dollar damage deposit when you check in which is supposed to be refunded when you check out, it has been over three weeks since I checked out and the property has not responded to any emails. No one ever answers the phone even though they advertise 24 hour staff at the front desk. I have yet to get my deposit back and actually left the room cleaner than it was when I checked in this is a horrible place to stay and I don't recommend it to anyone. read more

Terrible hotel room!!! First thing you notice is the TV. It looks like it is gonna fall at any moment. The towel rack looks like it is about to fall also. No air conditioner, only heat comes out of the vent. Only redeeming feature of the hotel room is the bathroom's look minus the falling towel rack, until you use the hair dryer and at first you hear a rattle sound, but then the smoke starts afterwards. So we were in town to see my sister. We decided to stay here because it's close to her house. We checked in with a lot of stuff. The room we got was not accessible by elevator. When we asked the front desk and kind of questioned it he got really snippy with my wife. I asked for another room. This room was on the 4th floor. The design of this hotel is absurd. We finally got to our room and were going to use the stairs, the door locked behind us. The lights were motion activated and it was pretty dark. We finally escaped that. We got the rest of our stuff and settled in. Our smoke detector is covered in plastic and our phone completely doesn't work. All in all this place sucks. I would not recommend it for any reason. The room is big and the bed seems nice. The shower is tiny and worn. It's not quite the Bates Motel or the Overlook but it would not be hard to be better. I would not recommend it. read more

I usually wait until I check out before reviewing a hotel but today I am sitting here in room 215 with no heat, hot water that is barely swimming pool temperature and management that doesn't care. The security entrance to the hotel ( pass key required) is broken and the whole place smells of marijuana. The event center is busy and the loud music went on until 11:30. I thought maybe it was just our room with the problems but another co-worker staying at the same hotel said their room was just the same. So management turned off the heat and intentionally keeps the water tepid to save on money. I can't recommend this hotel to any one based on this. I will say the rooms are quaint, the landscaping around the hotel is very nice and the staff is friendly but this does not make up for the poor overall experience. read more

Strange place. First of all, it's called the Ramada Providence and it is NOT in Providence. Not even close. I wasn't expecting much, so when we walked into the lobby I was Impressed. It's really a nice lobby. Up to our room, the decor is very tired. We were please with the king-size mattress, but puzzled by the double/queen size headboard. The walls are so thin that I could hear our neighbors. Not just muffled sound. I awoke to their entire conversation about whether they should go out and get donuts or donut holes. NO BREAKFAST! Planning a trip. So I called the Seekonk, MA Ramada Inn. Foreign accented man answered the front desk phone. I asked if they had a restaurant and what the hours were; he told me pleasantly. Then I asked how many guest rooms the hotel had. He changed his tone. "Why do you need to know that?" I said I was considering the hotel and size was one thing I wanted to be aware of (they do large conferences as well as regular guest.) "80 rooms" he snapped. Then I asked how many he had booked. "Why do you need to know that?" I said I was just curious what their guest traffic was mid week. I said "Well I am sorry I am just asking routine questions." I asked him if he was the owner or manager. Why do you need to know that?" He was getting quite upset. I said I just wanted to know who I was talking to. I asked his name. Why do you need to know that?" I told him I just wanted to know who I was talking to. "What is YOUR name??" he said. "And you are asking too many questions and you are not getting my name" he said. I said well you are not being very nice and I am not sure I want to stay there. "So don't stay here! Find another place!" I said "Wow you are really upset and hostile." "So don't stay here! First of all it's April 15th 2019 and what we have for a room is nice. We have been on the road for awhile ( truck drivers ) and wanted to get out of the truck for one nite. Our dropyard is near and this was close. We usually stay at BW but didn't want to drive any further. Beside u always need options!! So far we r on the first floor and for two beds no waiting lol. Room is clean and older style furniture but bed is comfy. The bathroom is really updated! Beautiful glass shower encloser. And the door swings both in and out!! No water drips! I hate when u open the doors and it drips all over. Even if it's NOT in my room at home. Haha. Nice marble countertop too. Very nice bathroom. We have a desk and a tv watching chair in the corner. Tv but no fridge which is ok since we r staying only one nite. Next morning we came in for breakfast and wow! Eggs, corned beef hash, sausages, potato's, coffee juice, bagels, toast and muffins plus apples and bananas. Oh and a waffle maker. (No Yogurt tho) It was better than we thought it was going to be!! I stayed here on a Saturday night September6, I have stayed at many, many hotels I stayed here because there was an event going on near this hotel .... I wished I didn't . Where do I start [1] On their website it said free breakfast I mentioned this to the gentleman on the phone I was booking with he said we stopped this because of Covid , okay but it's still on your website? he did not have an answer [2] I got to the room after finally finding the elevator yes that was an adventure the rugs and wallpaper were filthy, the chair had all kinds of stains on it. [3] It was getting a little late I decided to take a shower and watch some TV there was hair on the toilet and the toilet seat was completely loose I tighten it up but it was still loose I noticed a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door okay whatever, I took a shower the water wasn't draining I had to hold the piece down so the water would drain if that wasn't enough the bathroom got all steamy their was no vent in the bathroom I had to keep the bathroom door closed because I thought the sprinkler would go off in the bedroom. [4] I go to turn the TV on it said the TV is loading ?? I wait for awhile nothing I go to call the front desk their is no phone in the room...I get dressed go down to the front desk/lobby speak with the gentleman about the issues 30 minutes later someone does up we finally was able to get the TV working even though their was a language barrier. [5] At 5:30 A.M. the next morning I hear a rooster crowing yes a rooster ..now I'm awake I watch a little TV for a little bit I said that's it get me out of here! I did let the front desk know I was leaving I mentioned all about the issues and the rooster crowing he said what's a rooster ?? On the website it says it's a 3 star hotel no, no, no it's a 1 star for sure the photos on their website it must have been years and years ago I wished I read other reviews about what people had to say about this hotel I never would have stayed here. read more

I booked this place for my parents and it was a total disaster. The first room has dirty sheets so they asked to be switched to another one. The second room was just as dirty. This place is extremely unsanitary. Please seek alternative accommodation. They refuse to cancel their stay even though they has no clean rooms for them. Please see photos attached. Omg! Nasty!! From the minute we walked in, room not cleaned, urine and hair all over the toilet and floor. Pillows off beds, no pillow cases, 3 times to ask for towels for our room. Filthy!! Beds, floors, everything! Trash left in our closets, clothing under the couch, room in disrepair. Thermostat was controlled by hotel, we couldn't turn it down. Tv connection was bad, they never entered or CLEANED our room in 3 days!! Had to beg to get towels and toilet paper at the front desk. Mind blown!! Our friends found a used condom next to their couch few rooms down! Pets allowed and you could tell! Smells and dogs barking in the rooms late at night! Never again!! Stayed here because of a company Christmas party in their function room. First off the elevator doesn't access every floor. I loaded the luggage carrier with our stuff only to find out I could only get as far as a set of stairs in the middle of the hotel and carry everything to the end of the hotel. Everything looks old and dirty from the carpets to all the furniture. I took the back stairs to my vehicle and there was old stains on the floors with toilet paper, just disgusting. I stayed in room 208 and the person in 210 was smoking so heavy that it was like they were in my room. I checked out at 5:30 in the morning and couldn't get out fast enough. read more

Stayed here for a work-related conference I was attending in nearby Providence. Check in was quick and easy, and the room was clean. Breakfast offerings were delicious, especially as the restaurant in the property is now closed. It was nice to have a place offer something stronger than "juice and bagels". Some observations: the door guard chain in my room was missing. Also, one of the ironing boards was missing a foot peg, and could probably used some WD-40. There was also a light out above the vanity. And the Sunbeam-brand alarm clock can probably be retired at this point: the LED display was faded and not easy to read. All in all, not real 'big' deals, but the kind of things that make this property from getting a higher rating. When I returned to my room at the end of my first day, there had been NO room service. One note: hallways are very narrow; people with accommodations needs may find navigating the halls a bit difficult. read more

We did I decided to stay here because we wanted to spend the day in Providence, Rhode Island. We picked a larger room with a pull out couch since we have three people in the room. Unfortunately the room only have AC in the front of the divided room which meant that the adult on the pull out couch slept with cool air in the summer. But my wife and I were extremely warm when we stayed a night in July. Then for breakfast the amount of food was ok but the dinning room was oppressively hot and very uncomfortable. The attendant at the front desk was very helpful and friendly though. If the rates were better I would return but for the price of a room for one night it was not worth staying here again. read more

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were moved 2 TIMES!! When we got to the room, the glass number sign was shattered and 3 black trash bags lined the hall. The room still had dirty towels and open containers in the bathroom. The beds looked like someone had just rolled out of them and the pull-out couch was out. Clearly, no one had cleaned this room despite it being 4 pm (check-out is at 11AM). When we called the front desk we were told to come down and they would get us a new room. We were moved to a slightly nicer room on the first floor. Not once during that time did the receptionist apologize. The 2nd room looked okay, it wasn't until I took a shower that we discovered the shower would not drain. We called the front desk and once again we were relocated. This time we were put on the 3rd floor that had no access to an elevator. Thankfully we did not have any issues with the 3rd room. We were apart of a larger group and many of our friends also had to be moved 2/3 times due to mold, not being clean, etc. I would also like to note the intense smell of cigarettes that lingered in the hallways. The elevator is also 2 YEARS OUT OF DATE FOR INSPECTION. This is absurd. Not once did the staff apologize for the inconveniences. Ramada really needs to step up their game. read more

Absolutely nothing like the pictures. This was not worth the price I paid. I felt like this was a super 8. The room was dirty. As soon as I walked in there was crumbs and some type of wrapper on the floor. It was VERY dusty. As soon as I turned on the lamp dust was flying and I have bad allergy's. Unless you get a room here for about $40 or less per night, run someplace else. My first room smelled horrible of stale cigarette smoke, I was willing to just walk right out and book someplace else, and take the loss. Hotel staff was kind and upgraded me to a suite. It didn't smell and the bed was ok. But at night this hotel smells like a dispensary. The coach in a "suite" was stained and torn, it looks like a reject donation from Goodwill. Dust in light bulbs, tears in the wallpaper. Stained carpet. Not comfortable at all, oh and it looks like furniture from my childhood, like in the early 1980s!. And this is an upgraded room! Glad I didn't see any cockroaches .... I wouldn't be surprised if I did. read more

This hotel was one of the most comfortable stays I have had on this trip. The room was elegant in a way that isn't too pretentious. The bed was amazingly comfortable! The hotel is independently owned and operated. I could tell by the trappings in the lobby and in my room that the owner has put a lot of work into it. I'm a travelling musician, and my rooms aren't always the greatest. I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and comfort! The staff was also very friendly and interested in my music. They seemed genuinely happy to have me there so I felt at home! Also the continental breakfast was off the charts! read more

Well.. you get what you pay for.. when we first got there, the lady at the desk was very nice and personable. Then, we got our keys and proceeded to find our room. As we headed to our room, we overheard a lady complaining to the person at the desk stating that her stuff had been removed from her room. Yikes! Not something I want to hear when I first check in. As we walked down the hallway towards our room, we found that the hallway was so tight and narrow that it almost seemed to be out horror movie.. then, as we proceeded into our room, a strong odor of stale cigarettes filled the room (gross). The wood paneling in the room was deteriorating, the furniture was in rough shape and looked unappealing, the room was a very dimly lit room even with all the lights on, the A/C was great... when it was on. Lastly, I do have to say the bathroom was very appealing other than a mysterious goop that was left in the toilet for us (which looked like crab meat??? Idk). Overall, are stay was sub-par, but we will never return to this sketchy place. read more

We booked this hotel based on the mostly positive reviews, and had no idea what we were getting in to. The hotel itself is very old and run down. Walls are scarred, carpet is stained. The lobby is beautiful, but that's where it ends. Our room was probably the smallest hotel room I've stayed in. The bathroom was very nice, newly renovated, but there was almost no hot water. Enough for half of a shower. Our room's a/c broke while we were out for the day, so we can back to an 85 degree room. We went to open a window, and found that neither had been locked, and one was actually broken (would not open or close using the crank. The side door to the hotel is broken; it should be a card key opening only door, but it doesn't even lock. Anyone can walk in any time of the day, no problems. Nice when you forget your key, not nice when you want to be safe. Breakfast rarely has any one attending. When we arrived 9:08, 22 minutes before close, half of the food had been removed already, and there was no milk left. Someone was removing the dirty dishes that you bus yourselves, but not interested in making sure guests had food. Lobby staff is very kind and helpful. Pretty much the reason the hotel got two stars instead of one. This experience taught me that more reviews are more important than good ones. Never come back there! Don't look at reviews in 2015 when it might be under different management. I should read recent reviews to avoid this hotel. If I could, I would give NO star at all. The lady checked us in was nice and she was the only one nice there. The rest were all ice-cold faces or fake smiles and won't give you any help. The nice lady did not know anything about the hotel, including our room was assigned at the second floor without elevator! We had to drag our two big suitcases up to stairs and walked through long, narrow and dirty hallway to reach our room at the other end of hallway. On the halfway to our room in the hallway, there was another stairs with an unopened gallon of milk sitting at the stirs. Weird. The hotel is in badly worn down condition. Carpets are very dirty. Our room was not small but very dark, very few power outlets and some were very shaken and not connected well. Lamp bulb was out. The bathroom looked like remodeled recently in very very bad and cheap quality. Both sink and tub had drains clogged somehow. The beds were not comfortable. Whole hotel is in the condition that should be renovated immediately. Breakfast was cold and as other review mentioned, it was taken away at 9:30 sharp even we were still eating there. I was suspicious about the food thinking about the milk sitting on the stairs yesterday so that I only took a coffee and a bagel. Before I had chance to take a cream cheese, it was gone, taken away but staff. It showed that it was under Wyndham. I never thought Wyndham would be that bad. Not good, on many levels. We arrived to attend a nearby wedding. There was a place set aside in the closet for an iron and ironing board but no such luck. We called to request and 45 minutes later I had to call again to ask if it would be easier for me to walk down to the front desk to get one. The front desk said there had been a long line but they would then get housekeeping on the case. Housekeeping had to go room to room (a lot of rooms) to find an iron. Also, we were a non-smoking room and had to specifically sign we would not smoke in our room. Unfortunately, the adjoining room (the one with that common but locked door) was smoking so our room smelled like smoke more and more as the day/night wore on. Gross. Plenty of options in the area. We stayed here for one night on a recent trip down south to see a concert in Uncasville, CT. This is a convenient area from which to explore various areas in New England since you are close to so many other states. It's also very close to the highway, so very convenient for road-trippers. The whole place seemed very clean and updated. I was impressed with the lobby decor. Our room was quite large (although, oddly, the bathroom was proportionally quite small), and the bed was really comfy. We were at the very end of the hallway, however there was a door around the corner to the parking lot, which was really convenient for heading in and out (not having to go all the way up to the lobby and back to enter/exit was nice). The breakfast was also really good - lots of options, including eggs, bacon, shredded potatoes, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. It was nice to have hot foods and not just the usual continental items. My only complaint would be that the walls must be as thin as paper because we could hear our neighbours next door quite clearly (including their tv, talking and loud 5:30am sex, which woke me up!!). We had a room with an adjoining door, so perhaps that contributed to the noise, not sure, but this was quite annoying. We had done a lot of driving (and had a lot more ahead of us), so we really needed a sound sleep. I suppose this is more of a comment on the guests rather than the hotel itself, but I would hope that a hotel at this level would be more private and quiet. This hotel is not expensive (about $120, which is reasonable for the high season in a central area, especially given the free wi-fi and parking), however it is worth noting that it was the most expensive hotel we stayed in for our entire trip, so I guess I was expecting more. All in all, this was a clean hotel with good service and amenities and I would stay here again. read more

Worst front desk staff, EVER!! Called down to complain about the loud music from a party on the first floor. It was so loud, our walls were vibrating. We had to get up at 4am to catch our flight out of Logan. She didn't care at all. After she told me that she didn't like my attitude, I went down to speak to her face to face. Basically to tell her that it's her job to deal with my attitude. She wigged out and started yelling at me. Accused me of harassing her at her work and threatened to call the police and have me kicked out. Picked up the phone and acted like she was going to do it. Now THAT, my friends, is professionalism at it's finest!! Aside from that, the breakfast was inedible. The decor was smelly, musty 1980's church/funeral home. Not kidding. Only stayed here because we had to book last minute for a funeral and it was the only hotel left close to my cousin's house. I would rather sleep in my car. Stayed here for a frisbee tournament with a team of ~20. Free breakfast was alright, oatmeal, sausages, powdered eggs - usual fare. Coffee, OJ, milk. Honey bunches of oats cereal is disguised next to two other less attractive cereals - don't be fooled! It is there. Décor throughout the hotel is that of a classy grandma's house: giant chandeliers, floral wallpaper. Altogether very nice (but as my teammate kept reminding us, very old.) Bottom line it was exactly what we wanted and reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend. Also, Mariachi's restaurant had terrific tableside guacamole made fresh at the table. They also accommodated the 20 of us with no advanced notice, and never complained. Terrific service. read more
