1 Star Unacceptable Service and Unprofessional Environment My experience here was extremely disappointing. We waited over 20 minutes without being acknowledged, while the bartender and her coworker continued serving drinks to at least nine other guests who arrived after us. Despite politely trying to get their attention, we were repeatedly ignored. This level of negligence and lack of professionalism is unacceptable--especially on my first night in the city, when I was hoping for a welcoming experience. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, one of their regulars called me a derogatory name. The staff did nothing to address it. No guest should ever be treated this way. This restaurant is located on the first floor of the Graduate by Hilton Hotel. It opens for dinner. RBGR has the air of a Pub. The restaurant has a full bar, nice size dining area with view to the street. It has a small menu but your selection is made to order. I had the New England Clam Chowder as well as the Fish and Chips, the taste was not traditional, the Chef gives it a nice twist. The service was great. We were looking for a place to wind down after a busy day and decided to get drinks here because it didn't look too busy. Our bartender, Juan, served up some nice old fashioneds. We also got a pretzel and (gluten free) flatbread pizza. Everything was tasty. Juan and the other bartender (didn't get her name since she filled in when he got busy with other customers) were both very welcoming and friendly. We dropped in for after arcade gaming drinks. For games, they have pool and foosball. Not exactly what I was looking for, but hey, they are games. The bar is nice, dark wood. The event tonight was trivia, and we rolled in just in time to see several teams achieve victory. I had one of their Raspberry Regatta specialty drink (kind of fru fru, but it tasted good), and my wife had a Jameson's on the rocks. Bar service was cordial and prompt. I just went there to meet my aunt. We chose Reiners' because we both like the atmosphere and the range of menu options. I arrived first, and I had to use the restroom. I was asked/assaulted by the bartender to leave a credit card with the bar in order to do so. I offered to leave my ID but that wasn't good enough. So, here i am, in a fix, and I just called my aunt and we decided to go somewhere else. I've never felt so disrespected by an establishment in my life, not to mention kind of embarrassed. read more

Delicious double smash burger. High quality meat seasoned through and through. Every bite had a distinct touch of black pepper and the meat melted in your mouth. The fries were above average but not spectacular. I would have given 4 stars if not for the apathetic bartenders. We were there at 11:30am before a PC game and the place wasn't busy. We still tipped them well even though they didn't deserve it. My, what a big establishment you have! This place, off the lobby of The Graduate hotel, is huge. Upon walking in, we walked for a while until we found the bar. It's much easier from the front entrance off the street than the hotel lobby. Drinks were pricey from what I could tell as 4 draft beers (Modelo and one other normal beer) was like $35, and they weren't tall boys. I had offered to buy the first round and we ended up only having one round. There were 2 Virtual "Bays" which had Golf Simulators, but they also had volleyball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey, and zombie dodge ball (which was difficult AF). We had fun for a bit while drinking our beers after a company dinner. It was also trivia night, which looked to have 2 people playing out of the 3 other people in the bar on a Wednesday evening in January. I'm not sure if it gets busier on other nights, but it was kinda dead on this one. I'd probably go back again if I stayed at The Graduate, but not sure if it's the right place to go, although I don't really know what else read more

The service was amazing. The drinks were good. If you're just there for cocktails and apps, you'll be more than satisfied. The food was the worst meal I've had in Providence for years. Hands down the worst steak I've ever had in my life. For $35, the steak looked and tasted like it was microwaved. It was thin, cheap, grizzly meat with some butter smeared on that would not even melt, because it came out cold. The frites were a very small portion of previously frozen French fries, with a side of mayo and ketchup. I was shocked they had the balls to charge $35 for that. My side Caesar salad was completely drowned in dressing and cheese to the point of being inedible. This place won't last long. My husband said I were staying at the Graduate hotel and decided to try out reiners as it's apart of the hotel. We were sat right away and our server came right over. He introduced himself as Bear or that's what we thought he said (our bill said David) but he made us feel like we've known him forever. To me that is the true mark of a great server. We ordered the chips and dip as well as the truffle tots to start. They were both amazing! We followed up with steak tips with green beans and fingerling potatoes. Again fantastic! They have the every football game displayed so you can watch you favorite team, and not miss a beat on any other game. The food was delicious! I honestly can't wait to go back and try something new. Here's how I would rate everything: Sports simulators: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Drinks:3.5 stars Food: 3 stars Came here to watch the Pats game. They said they serve brunch when we called but didn't actually serve brunch when we arrived. There's a good number of screens around the place. For drinks, we got the pimms cooler and the tequila mule. Pimms cooler was pretty good though the tequila mule felt as though we were drinking straight up tequila. Way too strong. For food, we got the pulled pork sandwich and fish and chips. Fish was pretty good along with tater tots. Everything else did not taste good, in particular the cole slaw. Pulled pork itself was pretty dry and the sandwich was palatable only after deconstructing it. Overall we had a good time with the sports simulators and just watching the game. Comically bad experience. Walked in at noon on a Saturday and we were basically the only people in the restaurant. So how the heck did it take 40 minutes to cook our food (one of which was a salad). Of course when the food eventually came, it wasn't right. The salad was missing a chicken breast that took another 15 minutes to cook (by which time I had ate the bowls of greens) and also the salad was missing an ingredient that was listed on the menu. Visiting from Las Vegas, a city that has made its name with its bars, I wasn't expecting to be wowed by Reiners. I was wrong. Reiner's bar is excellent with a cozy ambiance and a friendly, knowledgeable bar staff. We were fortunate to visit first on a quiet Wednesday night. After some basic drinks, our bartender, Elijah, sensing our taste preferences, suggested some alternatives, each of which were really outstanding. Reiner's was so good, in fact, that we returned on Thursday, the first week of NFL football, and the bar was hopping, still though we got excellent service and once again were introduced by Elijah to new and fanatic tastes. Even things we didn't expect to like were really unique and delicious. Bottom line is that a mixologist like Elijah makes a bar like Reiner's more than just a watering hole. They have a lot of work to do here before I or my friends will be back. I was unimpressed from the moment I entered. Hostess was not welcoming, had a flat affect and didn't really know what was going on. We sat in the video game section and ordered drinks from the game attendant. He had NO idea about the menu or even basic drink knowledge (like what a titos soda was!!!!!!). Ordering of drinks was painful. Then for the games, he didn't really explain how any of it worked and he mumbled. Couldn't really understand him. So weren't we surprised when 6 drinks and 1 hr video play came to $200!!!!!
