He also does all of his own procedures for his patients from angiograms to stents, and you can be sure he will be with you the whole step of the way. His staff is also incredibly kind, helpful and very efficient, and they makes sure all the appointments run smoothly so patients are not waiting long. They are can set up all your appointments. Unfortunately for me, these tests cannot be done until Jan, 2026. This is frustrating, and a bit alarming for me. I'm not feeling well, get short winded easily and at 80, I'd like to be able to enjoying my life for as long as I have! I was already scheduled for a PT scan in August, so I felt that everything would work out. In my appointments with Dr. Doherty, I have always found him to be very impatient and in a rush. He didn't like to answer my questions because of his inability to stay with me longer than a few minutes. I had a PT scan done on August 5, 2024 and saw him August 29th. Very little was discussed regarding my results at that time. I had already expressed my concerns about having difficulty breathing, as well as other health concerns that developed over such a short period of time. I felt it was not only important but essential to find out the condition of my heart, but did not find any answers from him; only more questions and concerns. I didn't appreciate his attitude and found it to be lacking in respect and professionalism. After my appointment I immediately started looking elsewhere for a cardiologist. I saw my new cardiologist yesterday and it turns out that I had a heart attack sometime before my PT Scan in early August. Dr. Doherty had the results of my PT Scan and never told me that I had had a heart attack! Did he even read the report???!!! My family is totally alarmed by all that has transpired, but very grateful now to have found and be under the care of a qualified cardiologist. Please Beware of this Sheep in Wolfs Clothing. She waited months for an appointment regarding a serious medical concern involving an open wound with ongoing drainage, only to drive over 30 minutes to her scheduled appointment and be told that the necessary paperwork/referral had not been sent and the appointment could not be completed. No one contacted her beforehand to let her know there was an issue. This was especially frustrating because she had already experienced delays in receiving test results and was expecting follow-up care she did not receive. She was also told she would receive antibiotics, but that never happened. Communication from this office has been consistently poor. Calls are frequently placed on hold immediately without explanation, staff have provided conflicting information, and phone calls have been CUT OFF before concerns could be addressed. Which is very unprofessional. When asked for names, some staff members refused to identify themselves. We understand that mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication, follow-through, and professionalism has been unacceptable.
