I've been craving fish & chips. Their fish & chips is awesome. It was so good. It's not that gross soggy grease beer battered garbage. Great service too.

Me and my husband regularly go here on dates to share steaks and shakes. Really homey atmosphere, personal treatment, feels like the kitchen at home!! Extremely friendly service and delicious meals!!!

I see this place with a HUGE ribeye sign everyone I drive up north to Lucky Eagle , I hit a jackpot & thought to myself head to the place with the big sign. Glad I did , the steaks were all priced good & they automatically come with potato & veggies. I got the New York strip & it was grilled to perfection. I sat in the lounge , there is pull tabs if you wave to try to win some $. I'll definitely be back.

We eat here frequently going from PDX to Seattle, easy decent half way point. Tonight was not quite as good as we're used to. Our server seemed put out that we were there. Took quite a while to greet us, and wouldn't take our order, because "she had other tables." Ok We both had ribeye s - they were seasoned well. But 2/3 of mine was RARE, not medium rare. I wasn't going to send it back based on our servers enthusiasm. Next time there ill order it medium. The good side- the veggies and mashed potatoes were great!

We make the commute Kent to Vancouver frequently and this is a great halfway stop. We love eating in the bar and watching either football or baseball. We never seem to eat the same thing twice, but the food is always good and servings often too large to finish. Recently we sat in the main dining area. Service was great, but rushed. Their booths are super comfy, but it is busy and loud. We really like it here, but you will find us back in the bar next time lol.

This restaurant serves incredible food, and has excellent service. I ordered the smoked ribeye steak, it was cooked to perfection; also, the sides were very good. If you enjoy steak, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Exactly what I expected from the rib eye to the service, ambience, and cleanliness. Five star

Tri tip steak and eggs, subbed the hash browns for mashed potatoes.

Service was remarkably quick, and the food great too! If you need a quick bite thats more than just a bite while you're heading up or down the freeway, you need to stop in here. We stopped in on our way south from Seattle. The fried pickles are plentiful and fully on point. I had the tri tip steak and eggs, subbed mashed potatoes for the hash browns. The tri tip was very good, but they only serve it medium well here. Our table also had a rare smoked ribeye and word was it was excellent. The ambience is non assuming and very friendly staff. A full bar in the back with the full menu is available as well.

Large signboard along i5 east side

After passing by a few times whilst visiting Oregon over the past few years, we decided to make a point to try this restaurant intentionally. It was a good decision! The signboard is visible from the i5 highway on the East side. Hard to miss the "Rib Eye" signboard. Parking was aplenty although the area is quite dark so drive carefully. The inside of the restaurant was laid out like a typical diner with booths and tables. Long kitchen counter. Some metal art decor in the windows and chandelier lighting. Some souvenirs like sweatshirts, t-shirts and hats were sold at a corner. Quite a variety offered in the menu but of course we had to get the rib eye. Main choice of the "normal" grilled cowboy ribeye or the smoked ribeye. Each plate came with roasted vegetables (delicious) and a choice of mashed potatoes, baked, or fries. The mashed and fries were very good! Both styles of ribeye were tasty, done to our choices, and sizable. Make sure to come hungry. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and we would visit more if not for the 2h to get here from home. This is surely a great part of a road trip down south, or coming back north for us!

I had the Pesto Caprese pizza and it was amazing! The balsamic glaze added just the right amount of sweetness to bring together the different flavors. My husband had the NY steak and said it was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and told us how all the ingredients were locally sourced, which is very good to hear because we like to support local businesses. Lastly, the building is quite beautiful with the exposed brick interior walls. I'm not familiar with the local history so I'm curious as to what this building was originally? We will definitely come back and also check out the market next time.

So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

The adult working in the back was dismissive from the outset. One of the burgers we wanted was unavailable. When I asked what it was, a young employee answered that they did not have them anyway not an apology, not an alternative, just a clipped remark that made the shortage sound like our problem. The tray was then dropped and slid across the table. I said thank you. The reply was "Yup." A drive-in puts its staff in front of the public. That is the job. These are young people being given a chance to work and earn money. The interaction we received suggested they have not been taught, or required, to treat customers with ordinary courtesy. One employee spent roughly twenty-five plus minutes in the restroom before appearing on the floor. Sink was dry, I did not see any handwashing before she handled our order. In a food business, that is not a small detail. Remember, you never know whom you are serving. The person at the counter is not just another ticket. Courtesy is not optional because the customer looks ordinary, and accountability does come in reviews, in lost business, and in a reputation a small shop cannot afford to shrug off. This is consistent with what other reviewers have described for some time prices that belong to a sit-down restaurant, difficulty finding a supervisor, and a tone from the counter that treats a complaint as an inconvenience. Dairy Dan's reputation has always rested more on ice cream than on burgers. After yesterday, the service problem is clearer than the food. If the check is going to look like a restaurant check, the staff should be held to restaurant standards, look people in the eye, acknowledge a simple thank-you, and have an adult accountable when something is out of stock or a tray hits the table.
