Disclaimer: I'm not a big Ramen lover, however today I felt like having it. The place wasn't too busy because it had just opened, and it was already about half full. I picked up a menu and sat down to look it over. I decided on #2 Sho-Yu Ramen or noodles, with pork belly and an egg. The broth was thick and creamy and tasted like the pork belly. A little sweet and not too salty. The noodles needed a little more cooked but the broth was hot and within a few minutes they were fine. I also got the pan fried Gyoza. I actually liked that better, however both were delicious. The counter cashier was nice taking my order and offering a glass of ice for water. The food came out in about 10 minutes. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It was set up like a Japanese soba restaurant. It was clean and kind of cool looking. Genuinely confused why this location of Ramen Tatsu-Ya doesn't have a higher rating?? Five stars from me! I placed a quite large to-go order one evening (3 ramen bowls, an app, and a kids ramen) and it was ready in a flash. The service inside was friendly and welcoming! Parking at Lakeline is plentiful and conveniently located right off the highway. The kids ramen broth was slightly overly fishy tasting. Which was odd cause it was labeled pork. I think something a little less 'in your face' would be better for kids. As for mine, the Miso Hot ramen is my new favorite. That broth .... out of this world. Is it wild to go twice in one week? We stood at second place in line for ~10 minutes waiting to just place an order at the front and we weren't told what the hold up was or what but the cashier was just standing there while the line continued to grow. Finally ordered (food did come out fast)- But when it came out the broth was cold and the noodles were underdone so it was just one underwhelming/annoying experience after the other. They were nice enough to give us recommendations on what to get and gave out samples when I was indecisive on what drinks to get. They also had seating indoors and outdoor but I decided to sit indoors. Every table had utensils and napkins in stock. I decided to get The OG Tonkatsu and it was one the best ramen that I have ever tried in Austin. The broth was really rice and full of flavor. Ramen Tatsuya is such a great spot, especially on a cold day. The space is well decorated with great music playing, and the staff was friendly and efficient. You order at the counter, take a number, and the food is brought right to your table. I ordered the karaage and the shoyu ramen with extra menma (marinated bamboo shoots) and kikurage (wood ear mushrooms), and wow. The broth was incredibly rich and deep in flavor. So comforting without being too heavy. The chashu was tender and perfectly seasoned, and I loved the thinner noodles. Nothing is more satisfying than a hot bowl of ramen on a cold winter day. Stopped in around 6pm and beat the dinner rush. Counter service, fast casual spot with minimal indoor seating. Super long line to order that moved pretty slowly. I ordered an ol'skool and my girlfriend got the shoyu. She loved her dish. I liked the chicken broth based ramen as it's less heavy than the traditional pork broth. However I felt that the ol'skool had an unnecessary amount of onions - both regular and French onions, which had an overpowering flavor. I mixed the chili bomb in which helped improve the taste. Went here for lunch on a weekday after running an errand. The restaurant itself had a few people who were on lunch as well around the area. Service was quick and easy if you have been to one of their locations before. But if you haven't, you walk up to the counter and order there, and they will ask you if you want to sit outside or inside, if they have a patio. Once you decide, you can go ahead and order your food and beverage if you don't want water. They give you a number, and you seat down. This location had some tables on the other edge of the restaurant and one long community table in the center and an outside patio. You can get water for their water station; they have chilled water and room-temperature water. Chopsticks, a soup spoon, and napkins are at your table or community table. Once your food is ready, it comes to your table. I got the tonskatsu with spicy bomb. I like my ramen to be more on the spicy side. The noodles today were a bit undercooked for me. Finally, I was able to try Ramen. While there's plenty of Ramen spots around I saw this one while passing through so I decided to stop by. This location is located is a strip mall area and has ample parking. The inside isn't that big but they also have an outdoor patio. I was greeted upon entering and was able to place my order right away, there was no line. I ordered the Hibi Gibi Punch (sake and hibiscus lemonade) and the Texas Tonk. The Texas Tonk is a newer dish and includes pork bone broth, bbq brisket, smoked/pickled jalapeño, takana greens, thunder oil, ajitama. While the signage for this item states dine in only, I was surprised that I was offered to go or dine in. My items were prepared rather fast and I was quite delighted in the dish seeing as though this was my first time trying ramen. I will say it was a bit oily for my liking and has a bit of an aquired taste. It wasn't nasty though. The brisket was seasoned well and was so tender! I wish I'd gotten a picture with the gentlemen that took my order and the two fabulous ladies I met on my visit. It was only my 2nd visit at this location but it was, by far, my favorite. I ordered a Ramon bowl with a fun tea. The Ramon, I added garlic and Brussels sprouts, plus an egg. If you want a delicious and very filling Ramon meal....this is one of the best locations. Located close to lakeline mall and near lots to do and enjoy!!! I was warmly greeted, with lots of smiles and positive energy. Our wait time was very minimal, as we were really the only people in the dining room just after lunch. Had a great conversation with staff while enjoying our amazing meal. As I was scrolling TikTok in my free time I kept seeing an advertisement for Ramen Tatsu-Ya's "Crawmen " ramen bowl which comes with tonkotsu, crawfish, andouille, bayou butter, corn and pepper, ajitama. I thought nothing of it at the time except it looked delicious, heck the only ramen I knew was the little packages you get from Heb for .30 cents. But then I kept seeing the advertisement and then "limited time only ". Was it a sign? It must of been, but did I really want to embarrass myself as I didn't really know how to use chopsticks, so I devised a plan! I arrived as soon as they opened which is from 11am-10pm. I saw an outside sign that said "Line starts here" so I knew it must of been popular. This specific location was located within close proximity to Lakeline Mall within a shopping center. Once inside I ordered the Crawmen and a glass of water. The water machine was fancy looking and I didn't need any ice as the water was already very chilled. I grabbed a fork just in case and I found a seat closest to the door in case I embarrassed myself so much I needed to make a quick exit! I'm so glad I took the risk! The Crewmen was absolutely delicious!!!! Every single bite! The portion size was perfect I was left very satisfied. I also became a pro with the chopsticks. Fork where? I didn't need it lol. The staff were wonderful and made sure all was good. Establishment very clean which made this a 5 star for me. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. No wait time and plenty of seats available throughout our stay. The service was fast and friendly Saw they were offering a crawfish ramen for a limited period of time and made sure to give it a try while it was available. Much more of a general Cajun ramen than crawfish specific, but it was super delicious! The broth had a nice light kick and hefty richness to it. There was abundant andouille sausage that soaked up the broth and made for by far the most delicious bites of the meal (which is saying something for me to rate any piece of a ramen meal above the egg) For this location specifically, I really liked the setup and amount of space they had. I usually go for the 6th or research blvd location, which tend to be pretty packed, so having a relaxed spacious experience was a nice change of pace. Whether it's worth the trip for that experience will vary based on your proximity and time of day, but the prime time waits at the other locations have led to me patronizing them much less frequently Overall, highly recommend the crawfish (Cajun) ramen and think this location is worth checking out as an alternative to the more popular spots if cedar park isn't too out of the way for you read more

Another solid ramen option here in Cedar Park. I really like the cool decor inside, including movie posters and figurines. It's pretty casual, you order up front and they bring the food to your tables. I appreciated the staff being patient while I was indecisive lol. We tried the Tsukemen (dipping ramen) and the Mi-So-Not. The dipping broth was very good, though slightly on the saltier side. But with water it wasn't an issue. The miso broth was excellent, very flavorful and smooth. Only knock was it could use a little more ingredients. The ground pork got separated easily by the broth. I'm not a super big ramen person but this place was so freaking delicious!!! I added the ground pork to my OG and I loved that! I also loved that the pork chashu was like, almost crispy. I don't love when the pork is floppy and not cooked on the well side. My bowl was a little heavy on green onions, but I still ate quite a bit. I also got the rice bowl and holy crap it was soooo good! Then I got the chicken appetizer at it was cooked to perfect, breaded the exact right amount, and the spicy mayo dipping sauce along with the lemon wedge spritz was so perfect. I'm from out of state, and I'm convinced that this place has ruined whatever chance I had to enjoy ramen in my home state because idk how they'd do it more perfectly. It's back! The OG Tsukemen which helped put RTY on the map is finally on the menu again. The "new Coke" was okay but our "Classic Coke" is what dreams are made of. In fact, I'll go ahead and say it: it is one of my very favorite plates of food in all of Austin. (Or bowl?) I not only like this northern outpost for RTY, but prefer it. A long time ago when there was only the one Ramen Tatsu-Ya off of 183, people would line up for an hour just to get a hot bowl of ramen. Those were the days, and I was a frequent customer. Slowly with the expansion of the Tatsu-Ya brand, I have noticed a moderate decrease in the quality of the food, and I stopped going over the years. When I went to their original location several months ago just for a taste of nostalgia, it was a bit of a let down. I recently tried out this newer location to see if the food was similar and it went as expected. They have counter service, and the employees were courteous. The patio seating at this location is nice too. We ordered the OG Tonkotsu and the tsukemen. I found their tonkotsu broth to be slightly bland and not as rich. The chashu was tender, and the ajitama was soft-boiled correctly. I never got to try their tsukemen before they changed the recipe, but this one was pretty good. The dipping broth has a very deep, toasty bonito flavor. Overall, my experience was just ok. Would I come here again? Probably not since there are better ramen spots in the NW Austin/Cedar Park area. That being said, if you need a quick option or to grab some ramen to-go as you are running errands in the Lakeline area, then Tatsu-Ya will fill your craving. read more

I got the OG ramen. It was good but I wasn't a big fan of the broth. It was a little heavy .. I didn't like the way my chest felt as I kept eating it. The toppings were cooked really well though. If I liked the broth more, I would give it 5 stars. Also, my friend and I ordered the Karaage. This was our first time at this location. My friend said she was shocked at how small the portion was compared to other locations and the chicken was fried a bit more than usual. Return visit to Tatsu-Ya only to find it was literally standing room only!!! The place was packed!!! Even the outdoor patio seating was full. Retro music playing in the background danced over the hum of busied chatter, a chorus of slurps and satisfied customers. My sons and I were eager to see what the food was about. Appetizer was the Kizami sweet and sour yodas. My sons didn't care for the Brussel sprouts but I thought they were delicious. Next, we had the #4 Mi-so-hot (tankatsu). When I showed the worker it seems to him it wasn't a big deal like you can wash it off and it be good to go again. As he took the egg back that's exactly what was done. Okay spot for ramen! Good vibes and good portions. However, I'm really not a fan of how all of their ramen has a thick tonkatsu broth. It's heavy and savory but sometimes you just want a lighter ramen meal. I've had ramen many times in my life but shoyu ramen never has a tonkatsu broth. The bombs add a good spice but it would be nice to have the spice level included in the price. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. It can get pretty crowded at times. Excellent ramen in a casual and laid back atmosphere. There is an outdoor seating area, however the day we went it was 100degrees so we sat inside. I had the Sho-yu Tonkotsu and my spouse had the Tsukemen. We were strategic in what we ordered as neither of us had been here before and we both wanted to try a traditional ramen and the dipping broth style. We were not disappointed. The flavor of each was unique and delicious. But the stand out truly was the Tsukemen dipping broth. The condensed broth, the udon style noodles, the flavor...fabulous all around. I also loved the pun style shirts worn by the staff (Slurp Wars, The Ramenes, etc) The only reason I knocked it down to 4 stars is that it took a bit longer for our food to come out then we expected. They weren't busy yet (although by the time we left the place was definitely getting full) and we saw a few people that ordered after us get their bowls before us. I remember having Ramen Tatsu-Ya when I worked close to their first location. It blew me away. So I had to try it again. Oh so good. I ordered the Mi So Not and cold green tea. Since I love the corn bomb I added it to my ramen. There is limited seating for the amount of people coming in. Arrive early. I found the Prices okay for a filling bowl of soup. My favorite part is still the marinaded boiled egg. Best bone broth soup in Austin. As usual, I couldn't finish it so I got the rest to go. The cold green tea was okay.
