Although my AAA tow couldn't take me to his shop and I had to go somewhere else, Ramon still took the time to communicate with me and give me a second opinion. Called this mobile mechanic and things seemed smooth at first. Talked to a guy named Ramon, he ensured me that they would arrive within 30 minutes. Me and my wife waited, and waited, every time we would call we would be promised 30 more minutes. After 4 hours, we gave up and were forced to walk to find help. This shop stopped answering the phone completely after being in contact with us for 3 1/2 hours!!! They are unprofessional and outright liars, take your business elsewhere.. read more

His a great local mechanic. Gave Ramon a call and asked him if I could drop my 2016 Dodgde Charger off at his location. So i took it in same day he let me know it needed its coil packs and spark plugs replaced.Ramon told me which ones to get and I went to the parts store and got them and dropped them off.Ramon called me the next day that it was ready and he dropped vehicle off at my house. He is unprofessional, rude and greedy. Not worth the time saved by him being mobile. He came out and fixed the car. But lots of red flags. When i first called no one answered and i got a text saying "cant answer. Whats up?" Then they realized that maybe "whats up" wasn't the best response and asked how they can help. They dont make appointments, he just comes over randomly. You cant leave a message because their voicemail is full. When he came over to diagnose, his wife and dog came with and stayed in the car (that they left on the whole time). Then the follow up to fix, he texted he would stop by on Friday afternoon, but he never came and never texted. I had to reach out to him on Saturday and it was like pulling teeth to get a time from him. He finally got there at 8 pm. And this time he had his kid in the car and they once again stayed in the car with the car on the WHOLE time. I told him i would watch and after a little while he passive aggressively says "i work better without someone over my shoulder" "excuse me?!?" Then i told him i am not leaving him on my property in the dark and he goes "you have no lights, this is my 11th car, you dont watch other mechanics when they work on your car.. blah blah blah" ok, not my fault you dont schedule your time well, not my fault you chose to do a mobile car repair where people are going to watch what you are doing, and also not my fault that you are so insecure you dont want someone to watch what you are doing. What a lunatic! Meanwhile his wife sent me 2 requests for payment before he was even done! Greedy, unprofessional, and super suspicious behavior. Worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic! That's saying a lot being that I've been in business for over thirty years and owned hundreds of vehicles that get driven upward of 70,000 miles a year. It all started on 5/2/24 on my way to Phoenix from L.A. I was an hour outside of Phoenix when my truck broke down. I started Google-ing mobile mechanics. I called a few different mechanics but, in the end, RAMON'S MOBILE showed up. Diagnostics were run on my truck, and it was determined that the engine had seized. The mechanic (and owner) from RAMON'S MOBILE towed me off the highway. At this point these guys were heroes! I ask if RAMON'S could do the work needed to make my truck run, and the mechanic and also owner said he can do the job if the vehicle is towed to his place. All good with me! I asked for an estimate for the work, and the owner of RAMON'S got back to me about a week later. The estimate for his work was reasonable and close to the same prices I obtained from two other mechanics for the same work. He said it would be $5,999.00 and about one week to complete the engine and get me back on the road. All good! It's a go! I ordered and paid for the engine. RAMON'S owner/mechanic reached out on 5/14/24 via text asking when the engine was going to be ready, and I replied with the estimated arrival date. The new engine arrived on 5/25/24. RAMON'S owner/mechanic requested a deposit of $1000.00 dollars to start work which was reasonable, and I paid it. On 5/27/24, he said he needed more parts to complete the job, and I responded the same day asking that he send me a list and that I would order everything requested. (More than a month later, today being 6/30/24, this list still has not been sent to me. I feel this is odd since it has been my experience that most mechanics just order parts and bill you for them, but I was and still am eager to get my vehicle back on the road and was very willing to order anything needed.) No list was sent, so I reached out via text on 5/31/24 at 10:48 AM (six days since the arrival of the engine that was supposed to take about a week to be completed) asking again about needed parts, a parts list, and progress on my vehicle. This text was a follow-up to my attempts to call since it quickly became evident that no one would pick up the phone to have a live conversation. Receiving no response to this text, I sent "??" at 1:00 PM. I then did receive a response from the owner/mechanic -"ill call you right back." Needless to say, there was no call back. On 6/2/24, I received a text with a request to order a part and a picture of an inflatable water slide upside down. I am guessing that he was letting me know that the water slide was his priority for the day? He also did respond to my question about the parts list and said that he would get it to me. To be clear, 6/2/24 was the 8th day that RAMON'S had my truck and the new engine already past the one week mark and making me wonder if any work had actually started on my truck. My response was that "I really need my truck back. Just use old parts." You can probably see where this is going. I can go on for another 3 pages with the same back and forth list of calls that are not answered and text messages with slow to no response or excuses as to why he hasn't/won't finish. RAMON'S is now on day 36 with my truck and I am unclear if any work has even been started. To top this off, now RAMON'S has threated to completely stop work on my vehicle because I did not sign a work order. I was never asked to sign a work order. I received an estimate and was asked to pay a deposit, but never asked to sign anything digitally or otherwise. That is, not until 6/27/24, a month after my truck had been in RAMON'S care allegedly being "worked on." On this day, I was very surprised to receive a text threatening me that it would take even more time to finish my truck because I hadn't signed a work order. The owner/mechanic's exact words (via text) were, "What you should do is sign the invoice that was sent to you or unfortunately your truck will fall to the bottom of the priority list. You need to sign that agreement for your truck to get repairs. Without that signature, you don't agree to repairs." My question, where was this request to sign a work order a month ago when the job and money was accepted? My truck had already been with him more than a month from the estimated completion date I was originally quoted. It seems like my truck has never been a priority. How am I to trust that this work order will change the effort being given to complete my truck a month into the job? Why has this work order now become important after more than a month of subpar service? Is there some sort of problem with RAMON'S actually being able to complete the job that was promised? They sure have not even come close to completing the job in the estimated time frame nor felt any obligation to communicate with me in a professional way as to what is going on with it. read more

Husband and wife operation. By all accounts appear to be honest and operate with knowledge and integrity. However should you find yourself stranded near their "truck stop", get a tow and locate a brick and mortar shop for anything above a flat tire. read more

We were traveling from out of town in our RV, and it died in Tonopah (thankfully at the truck stop). We called Ramon's and though I could have wished for slightly better communication on whether/when he was coming, when he came he worked tirelessly through from 12:45 in the afternoon (it was 103 degrees!) until 4 AM. He got our RV back on the road! I don't know of any mechanic that would work through the night like that in such terrible heat for someone he didn't know. The price was very reasonable for the amount of complications that he experienced and the amount of time spent. We could not have been more grateful for his help! For those who are complaining about his not answering his phone or responding with a quick text, please consider that he may be neck-deep in helping a stranded traveler with a fix to get them back on the road and it may not be a good idea to pick up a call with so much highway noise and may extend the amount of time that he has to be out on his back in the desert heat. We're surely grateful that he didn't have a schedule to get onto, or we may have been days to get back onto the road. read more

I brought my car to him to repair my top and to make a long story short, it was in worse condition than when I brought it to him. He refuse to put it back the way it was , parts weren't reinstalled and no my top won't even lock back closed or go down with the motor like it did before it went to him. I wouldn't recommend him period. Had my car for two days , refused to answer the phone so I had to just show up and my car top was in pieces smfh. read more
