This place is unreal. Normally a place this expensive I would only go on special occasions but there aren't enough special occasions. First time here. We usually go to Mahogany's for steak. Celebrating a birthday and wanted something special. Atmosphere was casual country style. A bit loud for my taste but fun. We both got the surf and turf that was excellent. And superb mushrooms !!! We had two waiters both wonderful. We are well traveled and used to 5 star service and food. This is a little overpriced for what I served. Two negatives: we walked in to a desk of 3 girl hostesses that did not say any greeting. Had their heads down for an uncomfortable amount of time. Also, I ordered the strawberry goat salad that I sent back. It was unfit to eat. Overall, give it a try. Not the best but certainly not the worst. read more

The wife and I went out for a date night for the first time since corona virus closed everything. This is a beautiful resturant great setup and decor. I gave the first yelp review on the original location in okc back in 2010. This is a great high end steak house with excellent service. They have a great selection of wines and cocktails. I enjoyed several log cabin old fashions they had just the right amount of bitters and spices. I really enjoyed them and my wife had a bees knees which was good and a glass of their signature cab which she also enjoyed. We started with the crab cake app which was tasty. It did have a lot of breading which typically I don't like them but these were good. For dinner we ordered the au gratin potato's which were excellent. My wife had the 14 oz dry aged ribeye. This ribeye was pretty fatty and typically she doesn't like fatty steaks. She does love the dry aged flavor and this was the smallest dry aged steak they had. It actually worked out ok that it was rather fatty because she couldn't have ate a whole 14 oz steak anyway. I ordered 6oz of the Japanese wagyu it was 30$ and oz 4 oz minimum. The wagyu was spectacular highly recommend if you want to splurge. I love they way they serve steaks on hot plate I always order my steak undercooked and just finish it on the plate to my exact liking. This is an expensive Resturant but the quality is one of the best. It's worth trying but expect to spend 200$ minimum with meal, drinks, and tips. read more

Outstanding! Beef tournedos are little 1 oz. filets on little toasts with blue cheese on top and a demi glaze, and they are sooooo good for an appetizer. The crab cakes were also great! Probably 90% crab, not a bunch of breading. Also, get the shishito peppers and dip them in their blend of spices and then sriracha aioli that come with them. My wife and I were just in for a snack and a few drinks, but we're definitely going back for steaks and sides, my wife wants to try the scallops with crab meat and habanero vinaigrette. My wife had a drink called the 78, and I had a few craft beers that were all good! Definitely going back. read more

Had a wonderful meal at the Ranch Steakhouse this evening. We had the filet and New York Strip with Baked Sweet Potato and Bacon Brussel Sprouts. Absolutely one of the best steak houses I've been to in a while. The food was too die for. I had the ribeye with the Cajun crap sauce melted in my mouth. So I really wanted this to be a great meal as I was taking my son there for his 25th birthday but I was sadly let down. To start off with my 6:30 reservation time was held up for 10 minutes for whatever reason when the table they sat us at was empty the whole time. As for the meal, the calamari was great, and it stops pretty much right there. What I ordered as a main dish is not what I was served. You might ask why I did not say something? Well the answer is I was confused. I had ordered the 7oz fillet with the Oscar crab topping, and my son ordered the 7 Oz fillet with the lobster topping. Well the server put his plate down in front of me and my plate down for him. Now we should have noticed you would think, but my dish did have crab but with the wrong sauce, and his had lobster with the wrong sauce. What makes this worse is the fact that the server noticed the error and chose not to correct it! Last bit of advice is to not order the Mac and Cheese which was basically pasta with cheese melted over the top, no flavor or anything remotely resembling a sauce in it.. All in all I would not suggest it. For a meal costing over $200 you can get better service and food down the highway at the Longhorn. read more

Me and my girlfriend visited this restaurant in Norman over the weekend and were impressed by the experience. We both ordered steaks, I ordered a ribeye medium rare topped with Cajun crab cream sauce and my girlfriend ordered a 7 oz filet medium topped with truffle compound butter. We split a side sampler that consisted of the au gratin potatoes, green bean almondine, and the mac & cheese. My steak was perfect; the edges were crisp while the middle was juicy. The crab in the cream sauce tasted like I was by a beach not in Oklahoma. The potatoes and mac & cheese were great as expected, but the real surprise were the green beans. I couldn't stop eating them once I started. This place is well worth the price tag that comes with it. read more

My wife and I were treated poorly by the manager. It was a situation that could have been handled way differently. Instead she proceeded to the defensive and imply that things were my fault. Went here to celebrate my mother's birthday. Our server seemed new because it felt like he wasn't paying much attention to the fact that we wanted to place our orders and was persistently taking his time despite the restaurant not being very busy at all, but this was forgivable. Eventually we got our food but my father's steak was heavily over salted. He took one bite, my mother took one bite and I took a bite. We all agreed it was inedible. He then sent it back angrily because at this point, my mothers birthday wasn't going as well as we all hoped. They began cooking him a new one, despite him specifically asking them not to, then put it in a box and charged him $80 for it. When he refused to pay for it, the manager eventually came by and told him she took it off the bill but in the same breath, falsely accused him of flipping off her staff (which she backtracked on after I came sternly to his defense.) This resulted in emotions getting way out of hand. He walked away after becoming infuriated so I made an attempt to speak to the manager to make sense of what had occurred as respectfully and reasonably as I could (and she acknowledged that this was what I was tryin to do.) I thought I was making sense of the situation by explaining that the service was poor and the food wasn't up to par for what we were paying. She persisted with only what I can describe as an indignant and rude demeanor towards me. I explained to her that this was the worst experience we've ever encountered at a restaurant and she said verbatim "then I don't know why we're having this conversation." After we left they still charged us the full price for the meal. I'm not someone who ever feels compelled to write a review of a place I've eaten at but my family has never been treated this way at a "fine restaurant." An amazing steakhouse in Norman. Perfectly elegant atmosphere, music and lighting. Nothing was spared when decorating the establishment. The staff is impeccable in professionalism and appearance and tends to the customers needs. Now for the food.... I've eaten at steak houses all over the United States and I'm talking high end steakhouses from the Atlantic to the Pacific. All of the food.....yes ALL, is absolutely amazing. The Filets are just sinful. Your tastebuds come alive and the steak just melts in your mouth. It's pricy, but, it's well worth it. I can't rate The Ranch high enough. read more

i do not appreciate the managing service from this restaurant. my family and i were sitting next to another group for my mothers birthday. we were enjoying ourselves after a long week when we hear one of the men in the group next to us use the c word and the p word to describe another individual. not to mention other vulgar words were being used as well. we had asked for the manager to say something so we could continue to enjoy our meal (not to mention there were other families around my family and the group who could clearly hear what they were saying). after we did so, nothing had changed and the group continued to be loud and obnoxious. by the time dinner was over my dad, mom , and myself were annoyed to the point where we had to leave before dessert!! before we left we had asked for one of the managers who gave us a very disappointing and disrespectful excuse for there being no change. the manager had told us she had listened into the conversations from the group and heard nothing concerning, she said nothing despite the complaints. we were avid customers but after this disrespectful and lazy experience due to the managers lack of effort, we will not be coming back. read more
