Absolutely loved the experience my family had while at this lovely restaurant. It had been a while since our family ate out together, and I mean a LONG while due to my husbands job so we forgot that reservations need to be made on weekends or you're SOL. Anyways we promised our eldest we'd go out for seafood and any place in town was super busy and with a toddler, an autistic 5 year old and a 6 year old time is of essence so we called around looking for any place that serves seafood and stumbled upon this gem. We didn't know of it until we showed up and was wondering why it wasn't busy until we pulled up and saw vallet lol. It was upscale. My husband and I worked about this due to the kids, but everyone there was so friendly and patient and our kids did well. Our waiter was so good with our girls and so friendly with them and even chatted with them. Most family friendly places I've been to that has never happened they'd've just given them coloring stuff and left it at that but he was so friendly to our kids. They went above and beyond with being attentive to our table and making sure our food was good and drinks were topped off. Everything was perfection and I can't wait to go back without my kids so I can relax. My mother in law is coming out in a few weeks and I plan to take her to lunch and I have plans to return one day with my best friend too. read more

One of my new favorite restaurants! Went here to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint at all!! The scallops were the best thing about this meal!!! 10/10 recommend. The steak I got was a special aged ribeye. If you're going to get a steak, the lobster topping was creamy and delicious and added so much flavor and I would recommend if you like lobster and mushrooms! Definitely worth it!! Food was amazing. Waitress recommended a type of off the menu appetizer that was a type of "sweet and sour" fried shrimp. The shrimp had a more "sweet and spicy" taste but VERY tasty and will definitely recommend!! I ordered a 10oz. Filet medium well done with truffle butter. The steak was more on the well done side than medium well. Also ordered 16oz filet medium well done also with truffle butter as the topping. Little undercooked but very delicious. Absolutely divine is how I would describe this place. ....from the moment we got out of our car til the moment we walked out the door. We were greeted by the valet who also opened our door. Once inside we were greeted with multiple questions about Covid and asked to take temp. We then had a wristband put on which meant we had been screened. We get very safe after they did this process plus social distancing. After this we're we're taken to the hostess stand who also greeted us and took us to our seats. The place was lovely and decorated quite nice. I ordered the watermelon club special and it was perfect so I had another. I had the free range chicken and it was so juicy and superb flavor. My husband has the filet and says it was on his top 2 list. We also had the side sampler with Mac N cheese, potato Au gratin, and okra.....all very delicious. The only thing we did not like was being put back in a room off to itself. It was our first time there, we wanted to sit near the bar or outside and wanted to see the rest of the restaurant not just tables and walls. For the price I expected a lot better. We planned on dining in, but rising Covid cases made us choose to do take out instead. I will say in terms of appearance and staff the restaurant looks amazing. It has a very black tie appearance all around. As far as the food went I just wasn't a fan. The mushrooms tasted like they were out of a can, my steak was severely undercooked, and to top it off almost nothing was labeled (our two steaks were labeled incorrectly as well). Normally the label thing wouldn't be an issue, but we ordered a decent amount of food and sides, and it was our first time eating here so we had no idea what anything was. I don't know. I guess you could blame it on the fact that we did take out instead of dining in, and I am definitely willing to give this place a second chance when we are in a place to safely dine in, but for $200 I just expected way better. read more

This is a fairly recent (and welcome) addition to the upscale selection of restaurants in Norman. Although the main courses are a wee bit pricey, especially when combined with the sides at $10 each, everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. One exception was the scallop dishes my wife and I ordered. While this main course was beautiful and flavorful, we both thought that the scallops would have benefited from about 30 seconds more fire. We also ordered escargot and the shishito peppers. The escargot was nice, but the toast points were kinda soggy. On the other hand, we got to experience shishito peppers and they were outstanding! Highly recommended. Desserts: yum! I had the Dulce de Leche cake and it is now totally my favorite dessert. We will return to this classy place, but next time maybe just order the shishito peppers and the Dulce de Leche. Maybe just the cake... Maybe just the peppers.... read more

Been multiple times and the food so far just hasn't lived up to the high price. Had the chicken breast which was dry and the tomato jam ruined it even more. Also had the salmon which as good but the pesto risotto was mush and so was the mushroom risotto that came with the chicken. Had to ask for bread but other than that the waiters provided excellent service. We also received a free dessert for our anniversary which was excellent, got the key lime pie. We did have the crab cakes for an appetizer which was really good. The service and ambience is excellent but so far the food has not been consistent. read more

Norman finally has a prime steakhouse and it has exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is beautiful and elegant but also cozy and in keeping with the ranch theme. We started with cocktails, I requested the 78 and my husband tried The Godfather's Nephew, both were deliciously balanced, not too heavy on the alcohol, you could really appreciate the nuanced blend of spirits, the bartender knew what they were doing. He ordered the Waygu steak and I had the strip with the garlic butter compound. We both agreed, they may have been best steaks we've ever tasted! The waitress said we would get a free dessert since it was our anniversary dinner. We couldn't decide on what we wanted - they all looked great. We narrowed it to two options, finally picking one to go. My wife ordered and mentioned to the waitress that we couldn't decide but that we had finally picked one. Tonight (Feb. 13), the hubby and I had an early Valentine's dinner since there were no reservations for tomorrow night. He had a NY strip which was cooked to perfection along with sauteed onions and the chop salad. I chose the appetizer crabcakes and tomato/burrata salad. While out selections were delicious as always, I wanted to write the review to rave about the dessert. We chose the Dulce de Leche to share. It WAS heaven. The best pork chop I've ever had. My boyfriend said his steak was the best he had ever had and the garlic compound butter paired well with his steak. Green beans were a little sweet but good. Macaroni and cheese AMAZING. Mashed potatoes were creamy! Disappointing. We sat at the bar to people watch and the bartender ignored us for most of the night. The restaurant was nearly empty, but we had to keep flagging him down to order food or drinks while he spent most of his time chatting and hanging out at the other end of the bar. When he did come by, he kept calling my husband "Bro." I got the scallops. They were OK, but the corn was obviously not fresh and the sauce was broken. First time here. We usually go to Mahogany's for steak. Celebrating a birthday and wanted something special. Atmosphere was casual country style. A bit loud for my taste but fun. We both got the surf and turf that was excellent. And superb mushrooms !!! We had two waiters both wonderful. We are well traveled and used to 5 star service and food. This is a little overpriced for what I served. Two negatives: we walked in to a desk of 3 girl hostesses that did not say any greeting. Had their heads down for an uncomfortable amount of time. Also, I ordered the strawberry goat salad that I sent back. It was unfit to eat. Overall, give it a try. Not the best but certainly not the worst. read more
