Almost exactly one year ago, I drove my husband to RLVC to get Lasik surgery. He had done some research and talked to two other doctors/facilities before getting a consult with Dr. Vishteh. He told me afterwards that the reason he chose Rancho Laser is because the other places seemed "too big", that is, like they were "Lasik mills"...patients coming and going like crazy and no guarantee that you'd even have the follow up with the same doctor who performed your surgery. He was immediately sold on Dr. Vishteh because he was told that by the doctor himself that he'd have ALL of his follow ups personally with him and the Esposo liked that. When I was driving him over, I FULLY intended on making an appointment immediately for my own consultation. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for THIRTY freaking years!! My body started to reject contacts, so I was reduced to a couple of pairs of glasses, which I'd constantly misplace at home and waste 15 minutes a day looking for them (because my vision was so bad!). Add to that that I am a pretty active person and wearing glasses isn't exactly practical all the time. So, there I was about to sign up and of course, you can actually watch the procedure. EEEEK! I was so freaked out watching (and recording on my phone) with how the surgery goes, I chickened out LOL! Fast forward to around late fall last year (and enduring several more months of misplacing glasses, forcing myself to wear irritating contacts when needed, etc) and I finally said I was going to do it! I did my own research and looked at multiple places and came to the exact same conclusion the hubby did. Dr. Vishteh's office is really great. Yes, it's a smaller operation (no pun intended), but because of that, you remember the staff's names easier and they remember yours. That may not be important for some folks, but it was for me. Dr. Vishteh was super thorough and was even familiar with my neuromuscular condition (which was another concern for me). When I finally got the surgery (going on a month ago now), I was absolutely TERRIFIED. I'm not gonna lie, take that Xanax they give you (LOL!) and take it early enough for it to take effect. But everything went exactly how it was explained it would go, so there were no surprises. All I can say now is WHY did I wait so long to do this?? My quality of life has instantly improved. Now, if I could just get used to waking up in the morning and not panic, thinking I had accidentally fallen asleep with my contacts in, (heehee). Thank you, Dr. Vishteh and your friendly staff!! Dr. Visteh is truly gifted. I had LASIK done over a year ago and I still can't believe it! I still reach for my glasses in the morning sometimes - LOL. The team at RLVC really went above and beyond, such good kind people. I felt very cared for as an individual throughout the preparation, procedure and post op appointments. And having LASIK has been life changing! Best money I ever spent. The confidence and comfort it has given me is priceless. I would never trust a business who won't even return any phone calls from a potential customer interested in their service. If this is the case they most certainly won't respond after they already received my money!!! Bad sign to trust them with your eyes when I can't trust them to call me back... I am writing this review on my wife's yelp account. I've been contemplating getting eye surgery for years now and finally decided it was time. I contacted Rancho Laser Vision Center by phone on Wed 6-9-21 around noon and no one answered. He left a message to have someone call back for a consultation for lasik eye surgery. By next day, no one called back so i decided to call them again. I explained to the receptionist that i left a message inquiring about the surgery and that it's been 24 hours and no one had called back. The receptionist told him that someone is in the process of calling customers back right now. I expected her to ask for my info to either assist me or to have someone call back but she didn't ask for any info but rather told me to be patient and wait for the call. I waited hours and no one had called me back still so he decided to go on to their website and fill out their customer interest form online with his email and cell phone number. I am now writing this review on 6-11-21, 3 days after 1st inquiry and no one from this office had called us back at all! I called them again just before writing this review and asked to speak with the manager or the doctor and the receptionist told me that neither of them are at the office on Mondays and Fridays. What person in their right mind is gonna trust this business to conduct surgery on their precious eyes when they are so disorganized or do not care enough to simply return a phone call for someone who is willing to give them thousands of dollars for the surgery??? I hope someone in charge reads this and takes some action to rectify this serous problem before their business go under. read more

Find a more caring physician. This practice treats our most sensitive sense with casual callousness. I had laser surgery here and it was the most excruciating painful recovery. Surgery left me with hyper-sensitive corneas even after years of recovery. I still have eye pain from time to time. On follow up, the staff treated my eyes roughly including poking them with a sensor for eye pressure repeatedly. Eye exam was also rough and left me in pain for a few days. Granted, this result might have happened anywhere, but don't you want your eye doctor to be careful, sensitive, respectful, and reflective? Keep wearing glasses. read more

This is a great place to get lasik eye surgery. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Visteh is great at his job and is very friendly. The facility is very new and clean with all the latest technology. They offer a couple different options for lasik, I decided on the cheaper one. They both work just as well though. The price wasn't as much as I thought it would be and it includes everything from your pre-op dilation, the actual surgery and all your follow up appointments. I liked this about them that way you are not having to pay every time you go in for your follow up. The only downside, for me at least, was that they are about 40-60 minutes away from where I live. But it is totally worth it and I didn't mind it since the level of service and the facility was 2nd to none. A friend of mine recommended this place to me and I would totally recommend it to anyone! read more

This has been life-changing for me. Hello 20/20 vision! Dr. Vishteh is straight-forward, experienced and competent at what he does. The actual procedure takes about 5-10 minutes. It wasn't painful but there's a very slight discomfort which is expected. The process was nothing but smooth and simple from the very start. There's a pre-dilation that needs to be done on another day prior to the actual procedure. After the Lasix sx, there's a 24-hour follow-up with Dr. Vishteh. Got my eyes done yesterday through Rancho laser vision center and I am so happy I am able to see perfect today. The procedure looks scarier than it feels. I felt no pain during the procedure. They gave me pain medication that allowed me to sleep all day yesterday so I didn't feel the recovery. I feel fine today and I am so excited to be able to see clearly. It's now been nearly 4 years since I got the Lasik, and I've had no problems whatsoever. It's amazing not having to think about my eyes anymore. Every time I do think about my eyes, I think to myself (and tell everyone who inquires about Lasik) it's literally the best money I have spent on anything. My initial encounter was pleasant but when I went back to home he was not interested if I didn't want to pay for because I was having vision problems. the bastards became irritated and instead of being the so called doctor he's supposed to be his real money sucking Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde personality surfaced. He had so many patients he couldn't provide adequate care or evaluation. The bottom line was how much money he could make. I ended up going to a real ophthalmologist that diagnosed with 4th cranial nerve palsy and prescribed the correct prescription with prisms. My vision suffered because of his greed, lack of compassion and malpractice. Don't subject yourself to this misery. I'm wasn't a patient? liar, I have receipts, but I won't take the time or energy to pursue this any further, karma is a "Bitch". The two people that decided to go to a more ethical (real) physician figured this out. read more

After week 2 of having had the surgery, I am still amazed at how life-changing this is. I am 52, and have been wearing glasses since I was 6. Once my contact lenses started irritating my eyes, i was back to dealing with glasses full-time. I happily threw away about $500 worth of eye wear. I had a 3:30 appointment. I had the surgery at about 4:00 pm and was home by 4:30. I put my drops in, put my mask on, and went on a Xanax-induced nap until the morning. By the next morning, I was shocked to already have clear vision, and for the first time I could read the clock without squinting. The first 3 days, I had pretty profound headlight halos when driving at night. They have since lessened a lot. Before the surgery I used reading glasses to see up close. I chose not to get monovision since I did not want my far vision to not be optimum in both eyes. My close vision is now the same as it was before, but my far vision is BETTER. I am fine needing reading glasses. Luckily, I had zero negative reactions to the surgery; no scratchiness, no irritation, no pain, etc. I'm not even experiencing dry eyes. Maybe the drops are doing their job. Dr. Vishteh was there every step of the way, from the consultation (via phone), to the follow ups. His staff is excellent and friendly. Definitely worth the five stars. I finally worked up the courage to get LASIK and looked all throughout Southern Cali Vision Centers for good reviews and prayed on it. I stumbled on Rancho Laser Vision Center and decided to take a chance and scheduled a consultation. Everyone in the front office to the doctor are true professionals and make you feel calm and at ease about your decision. They told me I was qualified for LASIK and by the end of January I was in the chair getting the procedure done. I'm very happy and satisfied how everything went and Dr Vishteh made me feel at ease the whole way through. I had LASIK here and am pleased with the results. Pros: 1. Same day consultation and surgery. 2. Offers follow-up appointments for a year following surgery. 3. Very kind staff. 4. Dr. Vishteh thoroughly explains the procedure and answers any and all questions. 5. No pain during recovery. I was given a Xanax after the procedure and went home and slept. I woke up the next morning and had great vision. I could have driven myself to the 24 hour follow up, but my brother took me just to be on the safe side. 6. Accepts credit card. Cons: 1. The Yelp check in offer isn't real. Everyone pays the same price whether or not they mention the offer. 2. You have to pay an additional amount for the eye drops. I wish everything was included as a package deal. 3. My vision is not as great as I wish it was. My vision now is the equivalent of what my glasses/contacts provided prior to surgery, but my glasses/contacts did not give me 20/20 vision. I had pretty bad vision, but was hoping to have excellent vision after spending almost $4K to correct it. Doctor told me it should continue to approve after a few months and I will update the review if it does. 4. The only side effects I am experiencing are sensitivity to the sunlight and a glare while driving at night. read more

My hubby had his lasik done here several months ago. Called 3 times regarding a vision check for my license due to a migraine issue. Constantly told that I would be called back and it never happens. This isn't a COVID issue, it's an issue that the receptionist doesn't know if they can fill out forms or if they can return calls. It's been about a month after my lasik surgery and I still can't believe I don't need glasses or contacts anymore! Dr. Vishteh and his staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! Ok so I waited to do LASIK for a while. I'm turning the big 40 here soon and I thought what the heck. My wife and I both visited Dr. Vishteh and it was a great experience. The office runs flawlessly and efficiently. He did a preliminary review, ran through all we needed to expect. My LASIK was less the 7 min.. went home and slept to wake up to great vision. Now don't get me wrong you will have discomfort, you will have a healing process that requires your attention and care. But it's all well worth the cost, time and discomfort. I have worn contacts and glasses for 20+ years. I have reached that age where my up-close vision is starting to go. I did not want to transition into bifocals. I recently had LASIK surgery and I am so glad that I finally did it. The whole office staff had an excellent bed-side manner and were friendly.
