I was just a little confused when I first got a txt asking for payment, as it didn't show patient name or name of medication to initiate payment for ordering. However after I got that cleared up and paid, the order came promptly the following Tuesday by Fedex. It's exactly what I needed. Now if I have a question, I've been able to reach someone by phone or email. I'm glad that I was able to get this prescription through a vendor of Kaiser for such a great price. Over and over again, this place does not prioritize online orders. My ophthalmologist put an order in for me on 9/11 and I received an automated text and email to pay for the copay of my prescription. I was traveling so I quickly did this on 9/12 online to get this processed as their online portal notes it typically takes 2-5 business days to process before delivery. I was hoping when I return from my trip it would have arrived. It has been 10 business days now and no update or email communications of any sort of the status of my prescription.. so I called in to check on it. Of course, their go-to answer is that it will be processed next week due to the delay of the batch etc.. only because I called to push for them. This would not be the case and I could be waiting much longer if I didn't check up on them. This has become increasingly frustrating because this seems to be the only pharmacy that can create my very specific eye drops (which I need to use consistently/daily). read more

Most disappointed in the matter in which they abruptly closed their retail store and automatically transferred all their patron files ( which undoubtedly had private information such as Cc info.. list of referring physicians along with drug history phone numbers, addresses , etc) without first seeking permission from their patrons! I spoke with Sam the pharmacist regarding a prescription that I needed to fill right away in time for a doctor's appointment. She said that normally it would take 7-10 business days to fill the prescription and have it delivered however she said that she would do what she could to meet the doctor's appointment. Today, 3-business days later the prescription is ready for pick up and the doctor's appointment is tomorrow. I am so impressed by her response and her diligence to make it happen in 3 days! Rancho Park Pharmacy is the best. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Prescriptions are always filled quickly. Jelica, Michael & Jesse are so smart, helpful and friendly. They really care about you. Jelica is very knowledgeable about all RXs. They are fantastic dealing with Doctor's offices and insurance. It's like having a small town pharmacy, right here in LA. It's worth supporting this local business, which might be the only compounding pharmacy (with a sterile room) around. They don't sell a lot of stuff (batteries, dietary supplements, first aid, analgesics, tooth and skin care, greeting cards, hygiene, orthopedic braces and splints, etc. , but there's a handy in-house post office annex-- get two errands done in one trip! And there's free parking out back. Daniel (the owner) and his pharmacist wife Shery, since an unfortunate incident that resulted from an ex-employee's behavior, went above and beyond to remedy the situation. They were sincerely apologetic about my one negative experience, and they really care about serving the community. My health insurance lets me fill only one-off Rx's there, but I'll definitely return when I have another. read more

This pharmacy is awful and unethical. They have billed my insurance for medicines that I haven't picked up and after calling repeatedly to tell them I no longer what their services they say they will cancel the prescription, but they don't so I can't get refills at other pharmacies and can't get my needed medication. I have even left work early and gone in person and asked them to remove me from their system and they still renewed prescriptions after that. I put up with their terrible service and impossible hours as this pharmacy has degenerated over the years because I wanted to support local businesses but this business doesn't deserve it. read more

This place is very racist. And have a couple of white friends that goes to this pharmacy and pick up compound and they don't have to put a credit card on file for their compound however me being black they told me I have to put my credit on file. And because, I wouldn't give my card that they used before twice without my permission the pharmacist just hug up in my face refusing my prescription. If that's not rude and disrespectful I don't know what is and my friends and family and my community will no longer use this pharmacy ever and if there was a zero above I would give them 2 of them. Their automatic phone refill system works very well. A pharmacist is always available to talk with me. They are caring and compassionate. I wish all businesses I deal with were like them. The worst compounding pharmacy I have ever been to. Me and several friend have been going to them for over a year.Most of the pharmacist here have an IQ of around room temperature. Ask one pharmacist a question about your medication and then come back and ask a different pharmacist here - guaranteed it will be a different answer. Many of them don't even know basic chemistry principles. Update: They also just decided to increase price by 150% because they said "we now have to make our medications in a clean room which costs more money." ... I'm sorry... does that mean you were making them in an unclean room?! read more

Not thrilled with this place. For starters, the people behind the counter are S-L-O-W. I went to get a compounded prescription filled for my dog and initially got super happy that they could fill it within the hour. Before leaving I asked how much it was going to cost total. The girl went to the back and was gone for a W-H-I-L-E before coming back and showing me a post it note that said it was going to be around $58 and then with tax it would be closer to $65. I was somewhat annoyed that a 30 day prescription cost almost $2 per pill but ok sure I'll pay that. When I returned, the girl I was speaking with initially was now gone and they charged me almost $85. That's a big difference. I argued saying that I was quoted $65 an hour ago how did the charge go up? They said no it's $65 and since the girl is not here we can't prove your argument, you have to pay it. I had no options so I begrudgingly paid the damn fee. Their staff needs to get on the same page and get their info squared away. read more

I have been getting my and my son's medications here forever it seems. Everybody definitely knows our names! The staff, including Pharmacist Jelica, Michael, Talia, Jesse, to name just a few, feel like family in the best sense of the word. They deeply care about my son and me and our well being. They go the extra mile and beyond every time to take care of us in the most supportive, caring way possible. Great little pharmacy that was able to mix a similar prescription drug that went off the market. When I arrived at the counter, the pharmacist immediately smiled in acknowledgement. After about 20-30 seconds of the cashier ladies not asking me what I needed (they were busy wrapping up on something else and didn't seem to see me standing there), the pharmacist himself came up to the counter and found my filled prescription for me, subsequently explained dosage/usage and asked relevant questions about my health situation. I certainly appreciate this, because years ago, when I had a similar prescription filled at Costco, I had to ask those questions myself (instead of the other way around!) and at my usual pharmacy Rite-Aid, I would be lucky if they actually filled the prescription on time. This pharmacy was very helpful and kept me in the loop the entire time, even letting me know that they had called my doctor because they had a question about the formulation of the prescription. I found metered parking on the street and this location was very easy to get to. read more

I understand that there have been a few employee turnovers at this pharmacy, which I've used for close to 15 years, but all is going well there now. Better than well! I'd had problems with my insurance accepting a certain medication and anther medication was unavailable, for months (at every pharmacy). I used this pharmacy to get compounded chemo drugs for my cat. The first pharmacy my vet called did not fill it properly (wrong dose), did not respond to my concerns, and gave me no storage instructions. Rancho Park filled the scrip properly and told me it had to be refrigerated! And then gave me, every time, a cool pack to keep the med cold on the way home. Oh, and they gave me gloves each time too (the med can affect humans). Very nice staff. Cute store, too. They did cost more than the other pharmacy, but with the excellent service - and the fact that they were actually knowledgeable about the medicine! - it was worth it. Having a pet so sick it's on chemo is incredibly stressful. These folks made it easier. My cat has since passed away, but if I ever need anything for my other cat, I'm coming back to Rancho Park. read more

Be wary of this place. I'd been using it for many years, and my late parents used it for at least 20 years that I know of. But key staff members have left, and everything has gone WAY downhill, to the extent that I'm concerned they're going to make an error that will cause physical harm to a customer. This is both the cheapest and closest pharmacy to my house; I wouldn't have made the effort to change pharmacies if not for very serious issues I encountered regarding screw-ups with my prescription (which is of the daily and lifesaving variety, so I don't take screw-ups lightly). Just be careful with this place; under current management and with the current staff, it's a disaster waiting to happen. It was inconvenient for me to find a new pharmacy, but that's the extent to which I lost confidence in Rancho Park. read more

Skip this place. Every time I try to use this store, always have issues. One time it was randomly closed - not a holiday or anything, guess people just didn't show up to work. I have an injectable medication that requires it be compounded. I heard about Rancho Park Compounding Pharmacy on line. They will compound your medication and will deliver overnight for an additional $10 fee. I was having problems with my insurance paying the claim and both Lily and Kristine kept calling and working with my insurance until everything was straightened out and the claim was paid. The staff that works there are super people and will do what ever it takes to get you what you need. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a compounding pharmacy. read more
