I visited today after visiting Luray Caverns. Upon entering, most of the servers seemed to have an annoyed energy: not directed at customers but definitely palpable in the air. We were sat quickly and our server was attentive. Chips and salsa arrived quickly. The chips were a bit greasy, the salsa was good, the white sauce was okay but had a weird warmness. We ordered frozen margaritas: blueberry and mango. The drinks contained little to no liquor and the mango had a weird bitter aftertaste. We ordered the chicken fajitas and fries topped with steak-- I can't remember the name. The fries were delish and a good shareable size. The steak pieces were a bit over-seasoned so they came off as salty. The energy was good after the servers seemed to not be annoyed by whatever may have been going on. The music played definitely added to the vibe.

I love this place. The service is quick and excellent. The food is great including vegetarian options. They have good margaritas and desserts.

Good place for Mexican food. Not many places around the caverns had a good rating except for this one. As it suggested, the food was great; some of them especially. Ordered chicken quesadilla, Chile relleno, enchiladas and veggie fajitas for the table. All of them were good but the Chile relleno was outstanding. Must try!! Service was faster and the ambience was cool too with lots of seating and great decor.

Perfect stop after burning all those calories at Luray caverns. It's only a 7min drive from the caves and welcomes you with hot Mexican chips and salsa. Though the salsa wasn't the best, the customer service was quick and warm. My order: Quesadilla Chile Relenno Enchilada Veggie Fajitas My top pick would be the Chile releno just because the sizzling cheese oozing out of the pepper. Just couldn't stop savoring it. The combo of rice and beans with the enchilada was amazing. I would totally recommend doing the combo.

Tony and I stayed overnight in Luray, VA and searched the town over for somewhere to get a light bite to eat. We had a lovely day driving in the Shenandoah Valley and Mountains. Tony spotted this restaurant and we stopped. The restaurant was busy but we were greeted immediately and seated. Tony ordered a Budweiser in a bottle and I went with Iced Tea Half and Half with lemon and lime. Tony and I split a combination platter. He went with a chicken and a beef soft taco. I went with a tostada w side of beans and rice. The food was delicious and the waitress very friendly and attentive. We were happy with our meal. Food with taxes and tip was $32 with $5.85 of it as tip. Thanks again for a great meal!!

Upon arrival, I was nervous because we found only two open parking spots. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and throughout our entire dining experience there was consistent friendly service by all the employees who served us. We got the guacamole and that was probably the top we've ever had, though it could have used more cilantro but that's my preference - it was creamy and loved the chip bowl it came in. Don't let the size fool you, it can hold a lot of guac! We got the chicken and steak fajitas - yum! The steak was a bit overcooked but I didn't mind because that's how I like my steak strips. The veggies were sautéed - onions were soft and bell pepper was a bit charred but still soft and still with a bit of a crisp. For dessert I recommend the Tres Leche - soooo yummy. Not overly sweet. Highly recommend coming here. Food was great and service was even better!

I enjoyed my vegetarian quesadilla. It was delicious but the others in my group were very disappointed in the fajitas and burrito not having enough flavor and not being hot enough. I wanted flan but they were out.

Despite what some locals have said did not keep me from going tonight. Yes it's been a few years since I've ate at this location. And that's due to everything in life going on. I will say it was great tonight. Not busy and staff was attentive. I would say the tacos should have came with cheese on them. Other than that, it was enjoyed. Thank you :)

Pretty nice view from the patio!

So, this place had awesome service. The waitress was polite, attentive and yet her broken English worked perfectly for the position she was in. She knew the menu and came back to check on us more than a few times. 4/5 stars for the service. She was the best thing about the place. For the food, 1 star. The pictures on the yelp site showing the food explain it all. Notice some images show the food with excess liquid, I mean watery beans without any flavor? And then the rice was served without any seasoning. The guacamole came with huge chunks of tomatoes and it was hard to separate the avocado from the tomatoes. When we sat the waitress brought out chips and salsa. Half the chips were going stale. The salsa was good but more of a liquid consistency. We asked the chips be sent back and new ones brought out. The waitress did without a complaint. Then the things went downhill fast. My wife ordered the Chicken Fajitas for two, "Meh." I asked her about the beans and rice, "Meh." At least the margarita was good. It was sweet, but that is common and can depend on someone else's palate. She requested the corn tortillas because she forgot to order them at the beginning. The waitress brought them out without a problem. They tasted, "Meh." I ordered the Deluxe Burrito, it came out looking like a Picasso done by a three year old, filled with beef from a chef who used to work at the Bell. I tried to eat it but, "Meh." Long and short, nothing had seasoning unless it had the wrong seasoning and nothing was done right. This place deserves a 1 star.

We were in the area to celebrate a baby shower and decided to have a group dinner. Mr Garcia was recommended and we were all in!!! Few things cannot be cured with a delicious quesadilla. Upon arriving, parking was FULL! Certainly popular. We even ran into friends in the lot pulling up with their parties too. It's a large establishment! Menu was full of great options- from meat, to chicken, to veggie. Can I just say- as a Spanish speaker myself, I know the food will be good and authentic when native Mexicans are managing and owning the establishment. Even the servers were bilingual! We started with a round of drinks, I ordered a pina colada and several at the table ordered peach margaritas and modelos. Drinks were delicious and a good size! The special prices were just right. Then we ordered our main entrees. Due to it being a Friday in lent, I ordered the veggie combo where I had several options to pick 2 from for a meal. I got the chile relleno with cheese potatoes and beans and the veggie quesadilla. It was very filling! The food came out straight from the kitchen! Other dishes ordered also looked incredible- from the arroz con pollo to the taco salad. The chips weren't my favorite, tbh. Seemed a little burnt and thick. I like my tortilla chips from restaurants "restaurant style" so thin and greasy and crispy, and these weren't that :( they also had a white sauce served with chips and it was sweet and strange honestly. Of all the authentic aspects of this cuisine, this one pick didn't belong. I understand wanting to cater to the locals but this sauce didn't seem enjoyable at all. The chips also aren't bottomless, one basket more is free and any following is $1.99, not much but still. I ordered a flan to go! I'll absolutely be back!

For starters, the bathroom had 1.5/2 broken toilets and the floor was flooded with mystery liquid... I could barely make it to the sink without almost slipping. It also smelt horrible and the bathroom was legitimately falling apart. Now onto the service... it took them 30 minutes to take our order (and it wasn't that crowded). The server was not friendly either. However, since they were out of guac she did give us free queso which was very nice. The chips and salsa were excellent, as was the Mexican rice. My $15 grilled chicken quesadilla on the other hand... was sub par and small (see photos). The grilled chicken itself was somewhat stiff. Some pieces had only chicken... others only cheese. This was discomforting. Where is the fusion of flavors? Anyways, this is not the restaurant that I remember.

While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. Salsa continues to be delicious (albeit punishing the next day), and of my three tacos, carnitas was the only one to write home about. Pescado was fishy (not in the good way), and the al pastor was, again, just okay. Pointed out my chipped water glass to the server, who was apologetic and promptly replaced it. Best tacos in the area continue to be Los Altos de Jalisco in Winchester. I said what I said.
