I will be having neurosurgery in June on my neck and the surgeon wanted to get my throat checked because I'm having esophageal spasms. He said that is not what he does. He came in the room for my initial app with crazy long hair and immediately had an attitude second guessing my Neurosurgeon. I told him I have had hearing loss as well as ear pain. I failed my hearing test and now have a hearing aid. I have hearing loss in one ear he told me I needed a MRI to rule out a nerve being pinched. I had the follow up and he is the most pompous, pretentious and rude with the worst bedside manner I've seen in a specialist. He went over the results of my MRI. He told me he doesn't know of my Neurosurgeon when I named him. He then told me the neurosurgeon wouldn't care about it after all. Those was all after I asked if I could record the appointment because I have memory issues. He gave me the cd and said here you go he should know how to read it he's a neurosurgeon. Like most dissatisfied people say, if I could give ZERO starts I would!! Dr. Weingarten came very highly recommended to me by my family doctor, who had nothing but positive things to say about him. I was given a "warning" that he could be quick/abrupt but I figured as long as he can help me I'm willing to forego some "bedside manner" points. And I was feeling somewhat hopeful after reading some of the Yelp reviews that gave him 5 stars (very few mind you but nonetheless I was less discouraged about my appointment). Other than the office staff who were all polite, this guy and my entire experience was a complete disaster!!!! While I was waiting in the lobby I witnessed him going off on an elderly couple about how the husband's walker had been dragged across his floors and left scratch marks. He told the wife she needed to put tennis balls on it before they came back for their next appointment. He actually took the time to walk the lady back & point out all of the "damage" that had been done. How embarrassing and unnecessary!!! I don't think the husband heard one word he said but the poor woman looked mortified. I hope he doesn't treat his own parents that way!! At that point I should have probably left because if he can't treat old people with respect, why would I think my experience would be any different?? Then when I was back in the room waiting for him to come in he went off on one of his employees. I only heard bits and pieces so I'm not sure what that was even about. But even if it was valid, he could have addressed that later in private, not in the hallway for patients to witness. Then he finally enters the room, pleasantly enough and asks what brings me in. I started to give him a detailed history of my issues because I figured that was important in addressing why I was there. I also had results and reports from previous doctor appointments and CT scans due to chronic sinus issues. He basically cut me off and said they weren't important, that he didn't really care about what other doctors had done because he would run his own tests and make his own assessments. Can we say arrogant?? I started to talk about my ears as well because he is an ear doctor and he said he would address that on another day, that today was not an ear day??? I was so confused. Do sinus issues not affect ears?? He basically cut me off, wrote me a prescription and said to follow up in 6 weeks if I wasn't better. I was in shock when I left. And disappointed. I left there feeling like absolutely nothing had been accomplished and the appointment was a complete waste of time. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back for another round of arrogance only to get nowhere with my treatment. I wanted so much to have an answer or at least leave with some type of progress. Instead I left feeling dismissed and disgusted that there are "healthcare" providers like that allowed to continue practicing and treating people with such disrespect. read more

Dr. Weingarten is an amazing ENT ! He found a nodule, which led to my early diagnosis of Malignant Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma. I had been to a different ENT the week prior who missed it. Dr. Weingarten even performed the surgery, a partial thyroidectomy, the following week. My biopsies and pathologists confirmed the results. It was pain free and I have a slight scar that will fade. I started going here to figure out why I had vertigo symptoms. I had to cancel my VNG appointment the day before because I had a stomach flu--when I called, the lady on the phone was very nice and said not to worry, and just call back when I was able better and able to reschedule. I called back today to reschedule, and they told me I wasn't able to. When I asked why, they refused to give an explanation and just said I couldn't reschedule. Couldn't talk to anyone about it to figure out why, wasn't allowed to ask questions--literally so rude and weird. The doctor was alright, but always seemed rush and in a hurry. Customer BEWARE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I was referred to Dr. Weingarten via my PCP at the end of 12/2021. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was clearly bothered [they didn't even seem to like each other] rude, and gave poor direction. I was instantly uncomfortable and wanted to leave but they make it clear that they will still charge you. I completed 30 minutes of paperwork of which no one seemed to read or even look at. Once taken to a room in the back, I could hear the doctor through the walls speaking to other patients sounding very unprofessional. Once he came into my room I began telling him what has brought me to need an ENT specialist, he immediately cut me off said "oh I've seen this before" as he felt my throat and proceeded to tell me what I did and didn't have..... not based on one test or even letting me finish telling him ALL of my symptoms. He's advice was to drink lemon water, or eat lemon head candy and he gave me more antibiotics (I was already taking antibiotics, of which was in my paperwork and of which I told him) so I didn't understand why he was prescribing me more antibiotics ‍) I began to start crying because I quickly realized that this man was not trying to help me nor did he care to take the time with me as a new patient to hear me out. It's so frustrating being passed around to doctor after doctor and all they seem to do is feel my neck and give me antibiotics. As I sat there and cried, the doctor just kept talking and then said if my PCP wants more done I could just come back and with that he left the room. I continued to sit there crying and the office staff seemed more interested in getting me out of the room. I finally got to my car (which was parked right in front of the door) and had a full blown anxiety attack! I had to sit there over an hour because the tears and panic of getting no help wouldn't stop and I was now unable to drive myself home. I felt like I was going to die and they were going to let me. Even though staff could see that I was having a breakdown it didn't seem to matter, no one bothered to help me nor did they bother to call my emergency contact that was in my paperwork. I hate that I've been dealing with something for 6-7 months now and all I keep getting is doctors feeling my throat and giving me antibiotics (which is NOT working)...... why are they NOT running any tests?????? I can't believe his advise was to drink water and eat candy!!!!!!! This can't be real. This practice needs to be looked at by the powers that be.... Because something isn't right here. Save your own life and go elsewhere. I will never go back nor recommend anyone to him. read more

Stay away!!! It is hard for me to write a bad review about a business but I had to warn people. Find another office if possible. The staff is rude and have no customer service skills. Elliot office manager informed me since I cancelled an appointment due to Covid on the same day I wasn't feeling well that they can no longer reschedule an appointment with this office EVER AGAIN. He said it would be better if I came in sick than to cancel on the same day. Come in Sick to get all the patients and staff sick?? With Covid going on I can't support a office that would rather a patient come in SICK than cancel on the same day. I can't say much about the Doctor but the office staff represents the office and if is the policy it's better that I find another office. I could see someone not in the medical field making a policy like this but in this age of Covid if your not feeling well the responsible thing to do is cancel and stay home. Dr Weingarten performed my partial thyroidectomy in late September and I can't say enough about how great my experience was! I will start with his office's efficiency! From the minute you sign in they are already processing your insurance and payments, or have you completing any paperwork that is necessary. I've never sat in the waiting area for more than 10 minutes. As soon as they call you they are ready for you in the exam room! The nurse takes your vitals and gets any information from you then lets you know you are next. The most I've waited for Dr. Weingarten was 10 minutes also. I am usually in and out of that office in less than an hour, which is almost unheard of at a doctors office! My surgical procedure went very smoothly. I had a goiter on my left thyroid that needed to be removed. Dr. Weingarten as well as Elliote were very open about what would happen, what I needed to do and when I needed to do it. They would call me with clear instructions about what steps needed to be completed. Dr. Weingarten has a special nursing group he has put together who are the same for every patient he has. They were WONDERFUL!! I was very anxious but they put me at ease. Once I came out of the anesthesia they were very diligent about checking my calcium levels at specific times and reporting to Dr. Weingarten who called them throughout the day to see how I was progressing. My scar is still healing but due to where Dr. W was able to cut it people can hardly notice I had a surgery on my neck. I suspect that with time you won't be able to notice at all! Long and short Dr. W goes the extra mile. I can tell that he truly cared about me and make sure I had the proper care. read more

It is unfortunate that some guests of this office leave unfavorable reviews. From my first referral from my primary care physician to Dr. Weingarten's office, I have experienced ONLY the best care. Scan after scan, biopsy's, detailed blood panels, a great surgical experience (after care included), detailed information on what to expect, never being rushed during follow up exams, an amazing and courteous staff, even while under every day stressors.....I would HIGHLY recommend this practice. In matters of personal health, especially when there is a prospect of cancer, it is easy to forget that we are NOT the only patient, and that our providers and their staff have other patients to attend to, multiple schedules to coordinate, and also have personal lives. I have never once felt that any person in this office was not attentive, knowledgable, or on their "A" game. While I would prefer not to be a return customer, , should the need arise, Dr. Weingerten is the MD for me! read more

Ok so where do start the office staff was kinda clueless with out any smile or friendless to them. I gave them my insurance cards already scan on a paper for my grandmother and they asked to see the real cards what's the difference but ok I dug through my purse and found one but I told her you'll be fine with what I have because truth be told I used the copy of them on paper for all 6 to 12 doctors no one had a complain. The doctor Randall was such a bully and just no bed side manners at all! My grandmother was trying to explain why she was there and he wouldn't let her talk saying oh that's unimportant or I don't do that or why you telling me this so just ughh bad manners let the damn old lady talk geez! And finally I stepped in and said hey listen up because she's telling you all this because her sinus doctor doesn't do throat ok that's why we are here you ass hat god. And she like I have nodules in my throat he's like that unimportant I don't care about your lungs and I'm like it's not about her lungs she's trying to ask you if that's her problem in her thyroid throat area he's like she pointing to her collar bone I was so angery like shit give her a break she's 84 years old she don't know where the thyroid is but she knows it's around there but she's telling you it's her throat!! He kept shhh shh us and telling us get to the point and stopping us talk! It was so fusturating and just flat out rude!! Not mention he looked like a trucker/ a discount plumber who wears a truck hat that has seen better days it was gross for a professional doctor! He looked like he came from a gas station seriously and had no manners! He shut us up and he looked into her nose and practically traumatize my grandmother squirt up some Novocain up her nose didn't even wait and shove up her nose the scope I was trying to hold back and she was in so much pain and the doctor didn't say it's ok or I'm sorry no comforting at all. He pulled the scope out and liquid came out of her nose didn't even hand her a tissue! What is going on here the rudest unprofessional doctor I have ever came across! I was suffering from terrible vertigo with nothing to combat it. Upon seeing Dr. Weingarten, I was diagnosed with BPPV known as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo . A repositioning technique was performed and the vertigo stopped. What a relief! I highly recommend this technique in lieu of medications. Dr. Weingarten and his staff were so helpful and caring. Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. Don't go to this asshole. I was experiencing the worst headaches of my life at 26 and had been seeing a neurologist who ordered MRI. He found a cyst in my sinus cavity that filled up 98% of the cavity and said he is sure this is the cause of all my headaches. I work with food (due to covid they ask pre work questions, "do you have headaches?") which I would have to say yes to. I did not want to go to work and accidentally spreading covid not knowing it because I always have headaches. Dr Weingarten told me I 100% needed surgery, but did not seem to care to get it done quickly. He told me that my insurance won't approve the surgery unless I've been on 3 different types of antibiotics, which I questioned and said "well if I NEED the surgery why would they deny it?" And he got all mad "I've been practicing for 20+ years I think I know what I'm talking about and how this works". I questioned if I should be going to work and he said "I have pilots with sinusitis that still go to work and don't complain". Well guess what dude, I also work as a skydive instructor on weekends and get out of a pressurized cabin, which I also wasn't able to do because of this. Basically Weingarten said my headaches and the cyst are not correlated. Which is the dumbest shit I've ever heard a doctor say. His staff is a bag of dicks too. Elliot is a moron. Weingarten doesn't have a CT machine in office (which he should) so I had to go to desert radiology to get it done. They scheduled it two weeks out! WTF! I asked them if they could put a "STAT" order on it to get it done faster and they agreed. When I called D.R they said Elliott never sent over the stat order. When we called him back and asked him he said, "well I sent it over already so idk what to tell you." Like seriously this is how you talk to your patients? Also I put on my medical paperwork for them to release medical info to my mother and Elliot kept being rude to my mother and said "We can't talk to you he needs to call". Like dude we understand HIPPA laws, but she was on the paperwork. Weingarten has no filter either. The only reason I went to that guy was because my mom had a septum done by him years ago. My dad isn't one to write a complaint about someone, but he needed his sinuses checked too about a year ago and the first thing he says to my dad is, "if you want a quality doctor visit you have to bring your hot wife with you." This is not appropriate of someone in his position. After that visit I went to another ENT in Vegas Dr. Ashley Sikand. He got me into surgery 4 days before Weingarten wanted to just see me to prescribe more antibiotics. Sikand said I didn't have to do 3 rounds of antibiotics. Sikand said this cyst was so large that it's probably causing the majority of the headaches. He also fixed deviated septum, and concha bullosa. He has CT machine in office and will do his best to take care of you ASAP to improve your quality of life. Here I am two days after surgery with no headaches and way less pressure in my head. Suck a fat one Weingarten. Maybe you should think about why the last time an award for your office was hung up in the waiting room was 2017. read more

I went to my primary care physician to get a referral and he told them that he does not want to see me as a patient because my insurance doesn't pay him enough. I have been suffering for 2 days trying to get in to see someone about my ear, which is badly impacted with wax. I'm dizzy, nauseous and my ear is completely blocked up. He refuses to help me. My surgery has been rescheduled 3 times, I am Now not having the surgery with this group! I have a hard time getting in contact with this office, sometimes I need to call numerous times (7-9) before I get ahold of anyone. Also I had FMLA paperwork sent (via fax, which I was instructed by them to have faxed to) to them from my provider for work. I called numerous times and when I finally spoke to someone they stated they did not receive it. I called my provider and they stated they sent it via fax, and emailed me the fax conformation sheet, which indicated that it was a successful fax to the correct fax number which I confirmed. I have no clue how they lost my paperwork but a Doctors office should be more professional. This office is a joke, and as I liked the Doctor a lot the supporting people around his are horrible! I have been suffering for a couple of months with ear issues, constant pain, etc, they are listed as accepting new patients on my insurance website but when I called I was told by their staff they are not taking new patients from my insurance because the insurance doesnt pay enough. I had my PCP call and they were told that yes they would accept a patient but then when I called I was again given the story of woe about not getting enough money from the insurance. 1st this is utterly unprofessional to share this kind of information with a patient especially in the obnoxious manner it was done and second if that is the case then contact the insurance company and have the information changed because it does nothing but slow people down when trying to get care. This Dr clearly doesnt care about anything aside from money and milking the insurance company for it and his staff is allowed to treat people in distress like total trash. read more

I was incredibly impressed I didn't have any bruising whatsoever and the improvement to my breathing was remarkable.
