We contact multiple vendors to come and looks at the issue, but none were as thorough and experienced as Mark and his team. From the beginning to end, the experience has been stellar. Mark arrived to look at the issue promptly. He was able to identify the issue accurately and was honest about the necessary scope of the remediation work. (Other vendors suggest a smaller fix which ,in hindsight, would not have solved our issue in the long run and would require additonal work later on) Throughout the entire process, he constantly communicated the progress of the work and kept us update on the schedule, something that we appreciate since its the first time we have to deal with mold and water issues. I contacted a few different people, but Mark was the first to be willing to make it out to us that same day. After checking out the damage, he put my mind at ease and gave us the rundown of his plan of running a few fans and dehumidifiers in our utility closest and in the crawlspace. I asked him a bunch of questions I had, and he answered each one with ease and helped me understand what was going on. In the end, Mark and his team set up the fans and dehumidifiers in the spaces and left them for a few days. We were considering getting new tiling and he recommended Jose from Neza Restoration & Repair. Jose and Fernando also did a really good job. I do not recommend CWF for many reasons. If I went into every detail, it would probably take me an…read morehour to write and 20 minutes for you to read, so I'll keep it as short as I can. They respond to your concerns very quickly at first, but after that, everything slows down. You constantly find yourself repeating the same information, and many of your questions go unanswered. They're also extremely expensive. My mitigation alone was around $27,000, and they subcontract much of their work to other companies without telling you until the last minute. You hire them expecting them to advocate for you with your homeowners insurance, but you end up doing most of the work yourself. It often feels like they're more focused on making money than providing good customer service. The quality of the work was poor, and instead of taking responsibility for mistakes, they somehow try to put the blame back on you. Recently, I had another contractor come out to give me estimates for a few projects I want to complete after everything is finished. When he found out I had worked with CWF, he shared a story with me. He said CWF once contacted him for a quote on a job, and he estimated it at $900. According to him, CWF later told the homeowner the same work would cost $20,000. The homeowner eventually started calling around, reached that contractor directly, and realized it was the exact same job and estimate. He told me he's seen similar situations before. I could go on with more examples, but the list is long. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking for another company.

While he initially worked hard to get my business, he has not responded to my concerns, has not responded to the Better Business Bureau and now I will have to take him to court. Before the project even started our screen doors (2) were falling out and they got new doors ordered. Remember that early thaw -- they got started then -- they didn't wait until spring, which we really appreciated. The crew showed up when they were scheduled, and often times worked later than we expected. There were even a few weekends they worked. They took away the dumpsters when filled, workers were respectful of both our property and ourselves, and they kept the worksite clean by straightening up every evening. When the project was done (we are 95 percent done), I saw them out with a magnet to pick up loose nails and screws, as well as sweeping up debris. The home is 100 percent improved and neighbors have commented positively. One visitor even asked if our home was new construction (it's not!).
