Rang Coffee is a Vietnamese inspired cafe located off Highway 6 in Sugarland. Upon entry, you can tell that the owners/management put a lot of time into the interior decor. There is plenty of seating, potted greenery throughout, and various picture frames. Rang Coffee is very visually appealing and reminds me very much so of the cafes in Vietnam. I got the Matcha Rogue Euphoria, which is their take on a strawberry matcha latte. The drink itself was even aesthetically pleasing! The strawberries did not have that usual artificial taste and was the highlight of my drink. The only other comment was that matcha was strong and overtook the beverage once I stirred it together. It is out of the way compared to the other food and beverage locations I frequent, but I do plan on visiting again and every here and there. read more

Another coffee shop review in a long list of coffee shop reviews I've been putting off. I came to Rang (Roasted) Coffee during their soft opening. I'm very excited to see a Vietnamese coffee shop open up in Sugar Land! I like the vibe here. I came during lunch and it was pretty busy. It still had the chill vibe of a coffee shop study spot albeit the hip hop jamming from the speaker which is right up my alley. The decorations in the shop are cool and it has a modern vibe. I ordered a few drinks while there to try some out. First I ordered the Rang Super Sữa Đá. It was good. It's like a ca phê sữa đá but stronger. I didn't notice a huge difference in taste but it wasn't bad at all. It's also not on the menu, so you may have to ask for it specifically if they do not mention it to you. Their version of ca phê muối , the Rang salted cold foam was okay. I thought compared to some I've had in Bellaire/Alief it was a bit light.It was good but not great. The Matcha Rouge Euphoria was a bit light on the matcha for my taste and the strawberry flavor which was very sweet overpowered the drink for me, even after mixing thoroughly. I like the idea but the balance was off in the execution. I did really like the butter croissant. It tasted great. At $3 per croissant, I'm not sure I'd order another however when I could go by very closely and grab a bành mì for $6. It did taste good though. With the lack of Vietnamese coffee shops in the area, it's exciting to see one open up. If you have time to go to Bellaire/Alief you may find more traditional and established coffee shops with a more authentic selection but Rang will make a name for itself in Sugar Land. It is definitely catering to a younger demographic and thus may be not everyone's cup of coffee but it will definitely stand out as a modern take on Vietnamese coffee. Second time trying the coffee here and it's really good. I got the iced shaken hazelnut latte. Quality is great. Customer service on the other hand was horrible. The cashier who rung us up Clarissa was incredibly disrespectful. She did not greet us and just stood there looking down at her phone, not giving us any indication on when she was ready to take our order. When we chose our drinks and told her our order, all she said in a very monotone voice was "anything else". It's really frustrating going to a place of business you actually enjoy and receiving this type of service. read more

There are limited aesthetically pleasing coffee spots in Sugar Land, so when I learned about the opening of Rang, I was thrilled! The ambiance inside the shop is relaxed, with ample open seating. They specialize in Vietnamese coffee, offering specific recommendations for special lattes and pastries. I tried their Rosetta cloud mocha, Thai tea with house foam, and dark forest, a blend of blackberry and mocha latte. While the drinks were generally tasty, some sips did carry a hint of burnt espresso. The service at Rang is excellent--friendly and welcoming. However, it's worth noting that there's a service charge for transactions under $10, and they don't accept cash. Given that they're a new business, I hope they consider adding a cash option or removing the service fee, as not every visit will exceed $10. Do try it out! read more

loving this new Asian coffee shop in sugar land! Lots of good options of coffee & tea. The iced matcha latte was light & does not have that powdery texture. The rang salted cold foam has a pretty strong kick too. Their food/snack selection looks so cute! First time coming here. Willing to try again. It's in a great location with a lot around and the decor and seating was super nice. My friend and I tried the Berrylicious Mocha and the Dark Forest Mocha. I as well added the chocolate cold foam on them. I am a big fan of raspberry and chocolate together so I thought both were going to be amazing. The dark forest mocha's blackberry syrup in it was disturbing and made us unable to drink it. I don't think I could describe the flavor it had. I'm sorry it was actually that odd that neither of us liked it. The berrylicious mocha's raspberry syrup was not as bad and I think it could really be a flavor some people really enjoy. For us though it still was a bit weird and tasted kinda grassy or something?? One of my favorite spots in Sugar Land! I've only tried their Vietnamese line of drinks and have enjoyed them all! It's typically 2 or 4 shots of espresso over ice with condense milk as the sweetener. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet or over powering. My go to is the cold foam version. Now, I don't drink Vietnamese coffee because I typically don't handle that much caffeine well while I'm sitting down, so, the reason I'm saying that is because they do have other options but they are limited. This isn't a Starbucks or whatever. There's not cold brew or basic ice coffee. Sometimes they have snacks available for purchase. Again, pretty limited on what they offer. The matcha itself was lacking in flavor a bit, but the ube was rich, smooth and a bit nutty. They captured the ube flavor very well. The strawberry in the matcha rouge euphoria was sweet and tart and did not taste like artificial flavoring which I appreciated. I would come back for their coffee if I am ever in the area! Excuse me but why wasn't this in Sugar Land sooner? There is an abundance of boba tea places in this area but it's finally time for a Vietnamese coffee shop. From the outside looking in, Rang just appears like another boba tea house with its tamed exterior and the scattered college students sitting about on their laptops seen through the windows. Really the inside also looks like a boba tea shop with its cute decor and small tables, but its coffee menu is where the gold is at. If you're a hard core coffee fan and prefers your coffee black and you can taste every single note of the roast, this place is definitely not for you. Rang isn't exactly roaster grade because its drinks are fun, light and playful and coffee isn't the single highlight in every drink. However, the menu has a variety of classic Viet coffees, but also include a few specialties lattes like Matcha Latte and Cloud Mocha. What stands out from most coffee shops is the delicious pairings of very unique flavors such as matcha, ube and coconut. As a huge fan of ube, my go to drink is the iced Ube Coco Latte. Very fluffy ube foam on top of a cold, delicious, nutty coconut coffee in a cup. Not too sweet, not too bitter, just perfect. Of course I'm very partial because this is my only go to drink so I can't speak for the other drinks. However I'm very inclined to try the many delicious offerings such as Ube Matcha Latte and Pink Coco Matcha on my next trip. Also, service is always nice and parking is a plenty. read more

This place is about 10 or so minutes from my house and right across from HEB. I had the salted cold foam - initially felt the drink was too sweet but the foam really balanced it out. Loved it once the foam mixed in more. The croissants looked delicious, but I'll try them next time. The staff is polite, willing to explain and my drink did come out swiftly with no issues. I have already been here twice and I have been impressed both times. Last week I tried the Rang Bac Xiu which I thought was delicious and today I tried the rang salted cold foam and a mini butter croissant, and I think I am in love. The coffee tasted so good and the croissant was baked perfectly, with lots of buttery layers. The staff is also really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. They just opened up a week ago, so cut them some slack because they are still working through some kinks but I will definitely be back. read more
