This is terrible range USA and if anyone has district manager number please share. I went into range USA on May 12 payoff my firearm I've always got immediate approval lady tells me it's pending. Now I come back June 10 pick it up and put another into layaway and there register charges me $82.00 they have no payment process but my credit card charged me, they was unable to reverse the transaction that day. I waited few days and just went into the store deal with some worker named Robert who has bad attitude saying what you want me do no manager is here. I driven back and forth to this store 5 times and still have not received my refund I will be reaching out to corporate office. read more

Worst range I've ever been to. The staff was very rude. I was the first one in the door Saturday morning at 10:00. Came with 3 other guys. The rude man behind the counter sad were in the wrong line because we weren't members. He made us wait in a line for awhile as everyone coming in was taking care of. I asked how you become a member and he pointed to a sign on the wall. Unbelievable how there customer service is. Of course my friends and I walked out after watching everyone else get lames. And will never return. Won't even try a different range USA. They ruined it for the company. I highly recommend fox valley range in Elgin it's 10 minutes away and well worth the trip. read more

Staff could be friendlier and professional. When I went to sign in the 3 guys working that morning at the range counter were laughing at something which was funny to them. One guy was standing in the corner facing the wall. Because of that I had to wait for them to figure out what was so funny. The guy signing me in asked me to hold on while he went and attended to his coworkers who were laughing. As if he had fomo of not being involved. The 3rd guy tells him everything's fine and to go back to attend to the customer, but this guy insisted on finding out what was so hysterical. He didn't get his answer so he walks back to me while still looking over his shoulder to see if he can figure it out. All while I'm just waiting there trying to get signed in. Range officer inside was not pleasant to deal with. I asked him for a clip that was missing on the target and it seemed like he was annoyed. When I had 10 mins left he came up to me and said "last mag". I still shot another 30 rounds over 2 mags and had 5 mins to spare. The range is decent but service not so much. Reminds me of point blank which I believe this is a spin off of. I've seen better and it annoys me that they charge what they do for monthly memberships while service is immature. I really wanted to like this place. Wish service was a bit more professional and the employees were friendlier. read more

Purchased a membership for range time only to find out that they still want to charge an additional "range" fee. Doesn't say anything about additional fees on their website. So tired of companies trying to sneak in additional charges instead of just being honest and upfront. Definitely wouldn't do business here. read more

I find this range far better than most. What sets this place apart from others is the employees.. Maggie, who always greets me by name. She is one of the backbones that makes this place a friendly place to go. You can't leave a review without saying something about Victor. This guy is always willing to give advice. Very nice, man, and willing to help. Then you got Richard the unofficial greeter who welcomes you in there with a fist bump and a smile. The safety range guys are always on watch to remove any clown or want to be cowboys. I really feel safe in their range. Everyone is always helpful and willing to help. Took a dear friend shooting for the first time and she was highly impressed they treated her like family. I told her not all ranges are like this one don't be fooled to think every range is like this. We drove 25 miles to get here. I only live 10 minutes away, but if I lived 30 miles away, I would still come here. This place out ranks any range that I have gone to. read more

Clean, bright, friendly range with good selection of firearms and accessories. Range officers are on duty and patrolling the range. I did not shoot here today but have been to other Range USA locations and have always had a good experience here. If you are a new shooter or new to firearms, don't be intimidated to try this place! It's definitely not your typical gun range - staff is friendly and helpful. You won't feel like you are bothering someone if you have questions or need to ask for help. These ranges also have classes for beginners and experienced shooters, concealed carry classes, private instruction, etc. Again, this location is brand new so don't have much experience with this specific store but it seemed like the typical high standards I have seen in the few other Range USA's that I have been to. read more

Unquestionably the worst firearm purchasing experience I've ever had. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is not all the staff are bad. I went in and found a handgun I wanted to purchase. Scott helped me and all was good. I put $100 down and filled out some paperwork, but not the 4473 which I found a little odd but Scott told me I could pickup in 3 days so I figured they just do it a little differently. Oh they do it differently alright. I came back 4 days later expecting to pick it up and take it shooting with a buddy and they said I could not pick it up because they don't run the background check until it's paid in full because they don't know if I'm coming back after leaving 100 NON REFUNDABLE dollars down because it costs the $2.50 to run the background check. Obviously I was upset mostly because Scott didn't make this company policy very clear when I put the money down. I didn't get so mad that I raised my voice or anything and I said ok I understand that you guys don't make the policy, I did make it clear that I felt it was a horrible policy and no other shop does it like that. So they said if my background check had gone through I could have picked it up then but it didn't, it took three more days. I called to check after two days and was put on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up. I called back the next day (Wednesday 11am) and Scott answered, he said he was too busy to check the status and said if I left my number maybe he'd get back to me in 1 hour or maybe the next morning if he didn't forget. Yeah he never called back. Needless to say I don't think much of Scott and how he handles customers. I don't think much of the company and their policies either. It's the closest gun store to me and I'll probably never go back. read more

Got there on Monday wanted to use the range when a customer in front of me is being helped by an employee another employee saw me while he was pushing an empty Shelf. A third customer walked in and he started helping him I yelled out to the employee and say I wanted to use the range and he called on his walkie-talkie for someone after giving this person time to get there no one showed up I just walked out of the place this place is only 15 minutes away from me but I am surely happy to drive 30 minutes further to Gat Guns where there's this thing called Customer Service. read more

I have been shooting for a few years and last week I took a class with Vince. Vince was fantastic he understood my questions and the areas were I could improve on. After the classroom discussion we went to the range and there I had more control with the gun. Actually, on my first shoot I hit the center and for rest of my time I had greater accuracy hitting the target clustered in the center. If I could I would put zero stars. This range charges you $36 to shoot and $6 clean up fee... first range I've seen have some clean up fee. Best part was the rso that stands in the range kept having a issue with me and my friend. The target holders are old school forward and back no actual screen to see how far the target is. But they have a nice screen to see how much time people have left. Also what's the point of paying $6 clean up fee if the RSO hands you the broom to clean your area? Wouldn't it be his job to do that? Never coming back again. Seems like a bunch of democrats are running this joint. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Sales people are little to pushy. You ask to look at something and they are already trying to get the paperwork started. The range is clean, but more expensive than what I am used to. They charge $22 for 1 hour. Article II in Lombard is $15 for 1 1/2 hrs, and you don't have to pay to fill out the waiver, or get a monthly membership just to reserve a lane. I was excited for this place since I live right down the block, but sad to say, I will go back to Article 2 instead. Better prices and no pushy sales. read more

This was my 5th time using this range and first time I bought a firearm . 10 stars in every way . I got to rent a firearm and get used to it . Bill and Robert were the NRA safety instructors in the range and were Excellent! They both made sure I was safe and operated the firearm correctly while teaching me a better grip . Bill and Robert were both professional and very personable . I felt safe and confident. Buying the firearm was an extremely seamless process . Crawford , was an absolute pleasure . He wasn't arrogant or felt the need to "mansplain" anything to me . He went over the firearm and made sure I knew everything about and we'll as how to safely store it and transport it . He answered every question and didn't upsell me , instead made sure i had everything I needed and wanted. He asked me what I wanted . Crawford is extremely knowledgeable and personable . Been coming in every week for over a month. Every visit has been very pleasant. Range is brand new of course, filters out smoke and smells efficiently, very well lit. Each lane gives you enough space which is nice. I wish the desks were of different material, they were these cheap cork ply material. No touch screen controls either. Not deal breakers for me but worth mentioning. The biggest thing is AC, they have it in the range! No more sweating or loud fans while shooting! The shop is well stocked, they have most of the popular oem makers. Good selection of rifles from known makers. Ammo has okay pricing for being instore. People have been very nice. Signed up for membership which pays for itself and then some if you plan on going frequently. I see plenty of first timers and newbies there, always seen them being helped. Some other places have that higher than thou attitude from their staff which makes the first visit intimidating. read more
