I'm a security officer at walmart. A female taxi driver with Rapid taxi was sitting in the thru fare in front of the doors. I told her she needed to find a parking space and not block the thru fare. She tried to make an excuse that she was picking someone up. She argued with me for a few seconds and then after I made contact with her, she left. She never picked anyone up. She lied to me. Not a professional thing to do. Update**** One week later, the same lady parked in front of the same doors in front of Walmart again and I made contact with her again. Once again, she was a tsunami of excuses and she lied to me a second time. I called Rapid taxi to make a complaint, and the woman I spoke with who claims she's a manager was doing nothing but making excuses for her as to why she's allowed to park right in front of the doors blocking the thru fare. Such a simple issue and yet apparently this company is okay with not holding themselves accountable or each other accountable. What a weird bizarre mind-boggling group of individuals at this company regarding such a simple issue. "Don't park in front of the doors and block the thru fare." That's it!! This company was super professional and hospitality-wise one of the best companies I have gone with during my one month trip here. I usually very critical with my reviews, so it is also surprising for me that here everything was perfect. Planning, timing, communications, knowledge of the area, all 10/10. 7/21/25. Landed at Rapid City Airport. went to ground transportation and read the ads. called Rapid Taxi. told 20 minutes. wait outside under the gold sign. After 30 minutes called back. dispatcher said should be soon. I asked what color car he was driving, said silver. driver name is Bobbie. driver finally pulled up in a RED car. did NOT get out to put luggage in trunk. I did it myself. sat in car and meter was at $4.50. drove to end of road from airport to terminal road $9.00 already. I pulled google maps to my designation showed 16 minutes away. 40 minutes and $55 later. Totally pathetic and I do NOT recommend Rapid Taxi. I had to ask driver to get my luggage out of the trunk. very poor service. Ride should have only been $40, this driver didn't know where he was going. shame on them. read more

Reliable transportation in strugis. Was looking for airport transportation after figuring out Uber is not a thing in Strugis. Ride was pretty dang expensive $176 one way. I used Rapid Taxi to get to and from Rapid City to a tour starting in Keystone. They came exactly on time. I asked for a quote and they were commensurate with other taxi services in the area. There was a 10% credit card charge, which I had not been aware of. However, even with that charge, the total was about the same as other transportation providers. The second time I used them I was surprised the rate was quite a bit higher. The driver showed me the meter. However, when I called the office, the next day to find out what happened, Debbie was really helpful and told me the driver had let her know I was surprised by the rate. Debbie looked at the rate and it had been incorrectly charged. They were really good about refunding the difference. read more

Picked up at the airport. Car smelled like 3 week old gym socks. Curbside door didn't work, and the driver had his seat back so far to prohibit actual entry on the driver's side. Driver never left his car seat to help with luggage at the airport or on drop off. Usually the cars smell like old ashtrays. The old sock smell wasn't an improvement. One time I was lucky enough to have a driver who was also acting as a dispatcher, taking phone calls and writing down phone numbers WHILE DRIVING. They get two stars because I have had a few really nice drivers, and they normally get to the airport on time - IF I call a few hours in advance for a pick-up. read more

After calling I was rudely greeted by a female dispatcher. From the Rapid City Regional airport to my house in Box Elder, literally 5 mins away, they want $28. I ask why so much and was not answered. When I proceeded to ask if there is a military discount I was told no. My guess was through spite since I later found on the website they do. Horrible experience. Dispatch said it'd be 20 minutes, and 1 hour later the dude showed up - loud opinions on Muslims and all!! This company is horrible! They are always rude to me and so unorganized but blame everyone else but themselves. I use their services on a weekly basis, I have a voucher that is paid by the state because of my visual disability and the paperwork has been messed up for a few months now. This was the rudest man ever. I called on Saturday night & he said it would be about 20 min. I said that was fine and gave him the address. I was at a bbq and a kid fell (pretty badly) so I told the man I would see him in 20 min and hung up. I then called back to apologize for abruptly ending the call and the man was a complete a***ole about it. Said not to call this company and he was passing on the call and hung up on me!!! Waited exactly 1 hour 15 minutes for the cab before canceling. I then received a call from the cab driver telling me that there was a $5 cancellation fee which I was not informed about when I cancelled the cab. When I told him that I wouldn't pay for the hour fifteen minute wait, I got risky hung up on. read more
