Over the top customer service!!!! I can go on and on about how friendly and professional these guys were! We were on vacation from Missouri when our van decided to go down. After a go around with a big chain rental company, Casey's was recommended to me. I called and they said we absolutely have a car for you! I was stranded at the other rental company so they came and picked me up, took me to their office to fill out about 5 minutes of paperwork, and I was on my way! These gentlemen are angels!!! They saved our trip and we were able to show our kids more of South Dakota! I will recommend them over and over again and we will use their services should we need it on our next trip. read more

We went to this place several years ago to rent a car from Rapid City, South Dakota to another part of SD to go to a museum. The car we rented appeared to be just fine, about 8 years old. However, once we got out onto the interstate, about three hours from Rapid City in the middle of nowhere, the clutch went out, and we were stranded. We called "Casey" and told him about his car and that we were stranded. He sent out a young girl to meet us. We were of the understanding that of course, this person would be giving us a new vehicle and we'd be on our way across the state. No dice. Not only did they NOT give us a different vehicle but they screwed us over and didn't give us a refund. Firstly, the girl he sent out to get us, was maybe all of 16 and drove 85 mph the whole way, with us constantly telling telling her to slow down. When we did get this "Casey" back on the line, he said he was at the lake with his family and couldn't be bothered. We could hardly believe it. The car rental business was apparently closed that particular Sunday, and the "boss" whomever he was, didn't have an extra car to loan us. Needless to say our weekend was ruined. Of course, the SMART thing to have done, IF he truly didn't have another vehicle to spare would have been to give us our money back. After all, we didn't make it to our location because HIS car broke down. But he charged us the full price for the entire weekend anyway. So we basically threw our money away. If all this isn't bad enough, he was very rude to us that following Monday when we tried to get a refund or at least a rain check on his defunct car. You're way better going with a corporate car rental like Avis, etc. with this one. 99% of the time, I say go with the mom-n-pop businesses, but this isn't one of those times. read more

Thank You Dennis!!! We were on a road trip from Southern Calif., no problems with our 4 yr old car (still under warranty) until the evening we arrived in Rapid City, SD. Had stopped at gas station to fill up for our sightseeing the next few days. When we started the car, something didn't sound right. Got back to our hotel and when we turned motor off and had taken key out, motor was still running. Not Good. We had car towed to Buick dealership next morning when they opened and they asked if we had an appt. Said they were running about 1 1/2 weeks with appts. and were not sure when they could check it out. Dealership gave us a ride back to room and we started calling for a rental. Called everyone Hertz, Avis, all the big guys, no one had any cars. Finally called Casey's and they had a car..YEA! As soon as we got all the paperwork done for rental, we drove back to dealer to get some things from our car and to our surprise, they had already fixed our car. Dealership called Casey's and told them, and they said if we brought the car within a short time they would not charge us. We came into town towing a travel trailer and our truck overheated. We had to get the truck into a mechanic and rent a car to do all our sight seeing. We had to possible situation that our truck would not be done for several days and that we might have to move our travel trailer. Casey's had available a truck we could rent to tow our trailer to a different campsite. Luckily the mechanic fixed our truck very quickly and we only needed to rent an Impala sedan for the two days. Casey's was very accomodating, picked us up from the mechanics and understood our situation. Extremely nice and professional service which allowed us to see the sights and continue our vacation even though our truck had broken down!! Would highly recommend!! read more
