I'll be sure to go elsewhere if I have any other opportunity. I should have sourced the part myself.

A different repair shop in Hemet with very good ratings told me (after they did a basic oil change) that my 2 serpentine belts, both of my radiator hoses and the front sway bar links all needed to be replaced. Total bill would be just over $1,100. Quality Auto Repair examined the car, showed me how flexible the radiator hoses were and advised that only the serpentine belts needed to be replaced. The bill came to just over $200! A $900 savings!!! THANK YOU QUALITY AUTO REPAIR!

He also told me they had a list of vendors that he'd reach out to to get the best deal on the part. None of this ever happened. So after 30 days of waiting, which included 3 FAILED PROMISES of the car being ready, and being told "we're closed on the weekends", which meant more days of RENTING CARS, when asking them for simple consideration of the more than DOUBLE THE INITIAL ESTIMATED COSTS, (our bill went from $650+ to $1600+) and ONE MONTH of rental cars, LOST PARTS, etc, we were greeted with a $150 "discount". When asking to have the contact info of the owner, we were given the same business card and not until I asked for the specific contact info, only then were we given her "extension number". It is amazing that this business has any customers, and as a FORMER REPEAT CUSTOMER, I can say that you have just lost another one.

Let me tell you: the service I received here was so good I might go to this location going…read moreforward... I live over 100 miles away and actively avoid going through Hemet when visiting Idyllwild! I impulsively decided to stop by this Valvoline while driving through for an oil change (a little early because my tire pressure alert came on while I was leaving Idyllwild). I waited about 10 minutes before my car was in the bay and they got to work. I got a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, along with the recommended engine fluid change. Unlike Jiffy Lube, they have screens right by the driver side and an employee that goes over the recommended dealer service based on what's been reported (and their records but I was a first time customer so I had to fill in some blanks). This really helped from a confidence perspective that what was being recommended was real, and I liked that they told me to ignore one of the dealer ones because "it always shows up and isn't necessary". They also suggested the transmission fluids based on the report, but I showed them I'd had it done about 19k miles earlier (receipt in glovebox ftw!) and they updated their records accordingly. All in all, it was $277 and 31 minutes of my Tuesday morning for the oil, engine fluids, and tire rotation. While it was more than I expected to spend, I was due for it and they gave me a discount on each service that helped. Great service and my car has been running great. Highly recommend!

I was traveling to Idyllwild for the weekend. My transmission began slipping before I went up the mountain. I wisely got a hotel in Hemet and found Rapid Tire and Automotive on Yelp for help. I arrived early--about 6:30am. Corey was incredibly friendly, opened the gate, and listened to my story. He was upfront after a cursory inspection that he didn't think it looked good, but a diagnostic test would confirm things one way or another. He was upfront about the price for the test, too, and offered no guarantees. Straight shooter, which I appreciate. Ultimately it was not good news for me or my car--needs a new transmission. Corey was professional and compassionate throughout, and probably after seeing my distress at this news insisted on waiving the diagnostic fee of $150. So very generous and kind. While I was waiting in the office while his team ran the diagnostics I had an opportunity to observe Corey and the staff. They are the real deal--offering everyone who came in dignity, a listening ear, and friendly, clear communication. If I lived in the area this would be my first choice for a mechanic. read more

I was referred to Rapid Tire by my daughter and son-in-law as they have had excellent service from them. I needed to replace my coil-over shocks last year on my 2004 Tacoma 4WD and they discovered that I also should have my front end replaced (258,000 miles on the truck). Which was certainly the case. After the control arms and ball joints were replaced, the truck seemed like a new truck. What a difference in the ride. Today I took the truck back as the emergency brake would not hold. After the free brake check, they cleaned and adjusted the rear brakes. The shoes were only worn about 30%...never been replaced. Really surprised about that, with now 259,000 miles on the shoes. The cost of the repair was very reasonable, especially compared to a dealership. read more

Corey, Mike and the team are FANTASTIC....on New year's eve day, we blew a tire on our RV and after repeated phone calls, Corey said sure come on over...he and his crew not only made sure we were safe driving back to Orange County but stayed as long as it took to get us back safely on the road. Adam helped throughout the entire process but all in all great automotive technicians and even greater customer service. Took in my 2017 Subaru BRZ for a noise coming from my rear axels. They identified the problem quickly and gave me a respectable quote. When given the green light to begin repairs Rapid began almost instantly and had both my rear axles replaced by the end of the day. Love their quality of work and customer service. My Boss recommented I go to Cory to get an honest opinion about a possible patch on my tire that had a nail. I drove in, I was greeted immediately, waited just a tad, then Cory had me park and wait inside.
