I visited a friend in Platte city so we decided to come here. Most Mexican restaurants I have been to have been very colorful, but this place was pretty modest with only a few pieces of artwork on the wall. Im not judging, it was just something I noticed. We were seated right away and the server came to take our order. The server brought us chips and three salsas along with queso. The chips were nice and thin like I like them and two of the salsas were mild and the other one was medium. I loved both of them. The queso was very good. My go to is always cheese enchiladas and refried beans anytime I go for Mexican food. They didn't disappoint. Best cheese enchiladas I've had in Missouri. My friend ordered the mini chimi with chicken. She said it was very good with lots of chicken in it. We also ordered a picture of margaritas, which were good. I seriously need to come back here. EXTREMELY disappointed tonight. We ordered on line delivery and EVERYTHING WAS WRONG. Called and spoke with Amy after being on hold for over 30 mnts. She was extremely unhelpful and pretty much said it was door dashes error. We love rapidos and thought it would be comfort food for us because we are stuck in our home because my husband is on hospice care. REALLY DISAPPOINTED!! read more

Perfect place to go after landing at MCI Kansas City airport! Puffy steak tacos don't disappoint - reminded me of my mom's fried flour tortillas. But for me the enchiladas sauce is a test. It passed with tasty chicken and the green sauce was amazing. But when you add the house dip (which is queso with spinach - amazing!!!) on top, I just had to add it to them both! But hubbys test is the Margarita! He did a strawberry frozen one. It was so much better than the pre made strawberry mix from most places ... this one had real strawberries in it! Very good! He hs the Chimichanga and asked for a fresh sliced Jalapeño ! Then it was to his liking! We would drive back up here from our Raytown AirBB before we leave! Dont miss it! We had lunch here for my friend's Birthday. The food was yummy, service was exceptional. They have a banana margarita! I've never seen that before so of course I had to try it. It was decent but I wouldn't order it again. I don't feel it was super quality tequila but I'm not a tequila expert. It was a warmer day and I don't feel the air flow was adequate inside . The poor waitress was busting her butt and sweating like crazy. I got the house burrito. Delicious. Overall it was a great experience and hit the spot. We had a large group in the party room. Stopped in on a Monday evening for a quick bite after being the area. We were seated immediately after arriving and shortly after our waitress greeted us. We were brought water, chips and salsa and had a short wait before our food came out. I chose the mini chimichanga which is apart of their special for Monday, and it is two dollars off the original price. The meat I chose for my chimichanga was chicken and while was good, it was a bit dry but I think a cheese sauce could be added to help with that. I was pleased with the decent portion of rice and beans that came with the dish. Overall, I wish our waitress was a bit friendlier and that the restaurant felt a bit cleaner (when our rolled silverware had come out, there was residue on the utensils). We like this place whenever we are up in Platte. Great service in bar and in dining area. Margaritas are pretty good and so are the other non alcoholic beverages like fresh brewed iced tea. But the best part is the street tacos (pictured) fajitas and enchiladas. Not a fan of the salsa or taco sauce, a little like tomato sauce with splash of pepper. But that's the only downside I think. They have weekly daily specials too which make for a nice affordable dinner out for the fam. read more

The good: The food was surprisingly good! The salsa and chips are solid. My shredded beef chimichanga was tasty. My wife's verde enchiladas were pleasantly spicy. Could be improved: the cleanliness. I know it was busy, but there were a few tables that had chips and such under them in the carpet. Also our table had been wiped down, but still had food bits on it. Stopped on the way to the airport. I sat at the bar. service was prompt and friendly. it happened to be Taco Tuesday so i had 2 tacos ($2 each) and cilantro lime rice. Really good. The bartender stopped me from ordering 3 tacos - i barely finished two and half my rice. Salsa is puréed- not pico or chunky style. It's exactly how i like it- mild and generous with the cumin. Not deducting stars- just only tried tacos and rice. But if i lived here- it would likely be a regular dining spot. i definitely recommend- at least the friend tacos! read more

Rapidos is our favorite Mexican restaurant north of the river. The food has always been great, as well as the service. I meet my Pastor there for lunch on most Thursdays for their Puffy Taco special. They are outstanding. I highly recommend Rapidos! read more

5 Stars for the service and 2 stars for the food. This restaurant is clean and inviting. We were in Platte City for an event at the high school and stopped in for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant and looking forward to the food. Unfortunately the quality just isn't there. The cheese and sauces tasted like they were made with cheap, low quality ingredients. The Espinaca dip was really good, and everything else tasted a bit strange, right down to the refried beans and rice. There are definitely better Mexican food options in the Kansas City area. read more

We love this restaurant the service staff are great and were quick on refills and everything else we needed. The kids menu is awesome and it folds into one of those paper games which kept them occupied while the adults were eating still. The ambience is nice, its not loud like texas roadhouse where Im yelling to hear my table, people are relaxed and the atmosphere is nice. Went for a birthday dinner 5 people. Great waitress quick service. The guacamole and house dip were great as were the All the main courses. My friend and I ordered the carne asada street tacos and we both got sick from this restaurant. I ended up paying 50 plus dollars for some mediocre cheese dip and sad tacos. The tacos were not authentic to say the least, the cilantro and onions were wilted, and they did not include our lime wedges. An hour later I was throwing up in my car. At the price I paid I was excited to have some good tacos! But ended up puking my brains out instead. I was very disappointed. I have been here a couple of other times before and I can say that I have never had a satisfying meal here. Thats strike three for me! Will NOT be a returning customer.
