Seated quickly, it seemed everything was in a rush, not sure if it was a lot of new peoples first day or what it felt a little chaotic. Chips were stale but more chips were brought to table. Salsa was supposedly mild and I enjoy spicy things but was like, "that's mild?" It was more like hot sauce. Tried the house cheese dip, was ok very runny and thin texture. Ordered a small size was given large size, but no up charge. Had tres street tacos from dinner menu. Not what I expected the meat and other fillings were just covering three very tiny tortillas and those were either soggy from food being on top or dry and hard on edges. I tried one but left the other two on the dish. Rice and beans were typical for most Mexican restaurant fare. Food was extremely hot which is common at these type of restaurants waited about five minutes for food to cool. Food wasn't bad just not as flavorful as I expected. Got shrimp that were "butterflied" with the vein and legs left on for myself to clean off. Steak ordered medium rare came out well done. Girlfriend's shredded beef tacos were about as dry as your grandmas you know what and was about as appetizing as it too. read more

Rapido's was packed on the Tuesday we went so we thought we were going to be getting something good. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The inside is well worn, which isn't helped by it being dirty in the dining area. While the chips were alright, the salsa would have tasted better from a jar as it was bland. Sharing in the bland taste was the carne asada. The cheese quesadilla looked and tasted like it was microwaved. The highlight of the food was the meat in the burrito as it had flavor and actually tasted good. The bathroom has a cool feature so you can watch the other person urinating or washing their hands while you take your constitutional, because why would you need doors? The server only came over to take the order and refill the water when it was time for the bill. Her nasty look at customers did not endear herself to us or others around us. read more

I'm a salsa person. They have 3 different heat levels on salsa. I like it hot and the medium is just right. They have fried tacos (my favorite) and absolutely GREAT service in the bar area. You gotta try this place! read more

This was our first time trying Rapido's. We'd been told the enchiladas were good but I was skeptical. Our server, Josie, suggested them and they were AMAZING. We went during a very busy day (the town's high school graduation day) and the staff was very polite and accommodating. From the hosts, to the bussers, to the server it was a great experience all around. Our drinks were refilled at the perfect times, the prices were great for the portions and quality and our cocktails were perfect. Highly recommend. read more

Where to begin. The red table sauce came from Hunts tomato sauce can with no flavor. The white cheese dip had good flavor, but was cold with the consistancy of wallpaper paste. The server should make sure she has her stories repaired before hand. My wife's entree was supposed to have condiments on the plate. According to our server it is on the side as the same thing was delivered to the table next to us with everything. Don't lie, just say the kitchen screwed up. The chimichanga was warm even though it supposedly just came out of the kitchen. My order was a fajita burrito, big mistake on my part for ordering it. It had enough steak for a decent taco and for the most part it was a 15.00 black bean burrito. The "Mexican Rice" tasted like it was out of a bag with again no flavor. I think they are trying for TexMex, but wow did they fall short. I understand they just opened and will have growing pains, but the only Rapido will be how fast their doors shut due to cold bland food and poor service. 2 iced teas, 1 chimi, 1 fajita burrito and a cheese dip for 42.00 +tip was not worth the money or the hassle. Stopped in on our way back home on a road trip. We were famished so before I judge a place I always consider if I'm just so hungry that everything is good or if it is REALLY good. With that in mind, I ordered my Mexican staple which are carne asada street tacos. I'm from Southern California and these were the best tacos I've had since I moved to the Midwest. The steak was perfectly cooked. The corn tortillas were not dry and did not tear at all. They were topped with plenty of cilantro and even sprinkles of cojita cheese! Food was fast. (rapido) the people were attentive. Covid guidelines were followed just as any other in the area. The ONLY criticism I have is the tacos were served partially laying on the beans. I moved here from New Mexico in 2015. This is the first Mexican place that reminds me of home. I had the Tres Enchiladas with Verde sauce and it was amazing! The rice was done just right and the beans were good. Will definitely be back. My compliments to the chef! read more

This place has great service and seems to space everyone apart for the COVID concerns. The Ground Beef was fairly bland and flavorless the time I went, however the fajita's that my other half ordered were very flavorful. The Salsa was very watery and seemed to be the same sauce used for their enchiladas. On the bright side everything tasted fresh, so I would recommend them based on that fact alone! read more

I don't get some of the poor reviews I'm seeing on Yelp about this restaurant. The food and margaritas is/are very good. Nothing is perfect during the 1st several weeks of opening, but no reason to throw some of the hate from other reviews. Try it for yourself to properly judge. The hostess and wait staff was outstanding. Good food and margaritas, that's all you need for a good go-to local Mexican restaurant and you have that at Rapidos. Toni and her staff are working hard to earn your patronage. Opening a new business ANY time is tough enough but opening during these covid times is doubly difficult. I always try to support out non chain local business and this one is certainly worth your support! read more

First let me say I really like the food at Rapido's. Platte City has needed this since Rancho Grande left. That said it has to be one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever been in. Broken chips everywhere, dirty napkins on the floor under booths. If this is what the front of the house looks like, what does the kitchen look like? read more

Amazing food, the enchiladas verdes is delicious and the service is great!! Highly recommend the house marg on the rocks too!
