This lady was sent to us from heaven. 7 weeks of excruciating nerve pain, 2 hospitalizations, over 5 doctors and nobody had a clue. One hospital sent my BF home and told him to "suck it up" and the other one drugged him with morphine for 3 days and then sent him home. That was 6 weeks ago. I love Dr Rapoport, she is wonderful, she treats my chronic migraines and TMJ and she is very empathetic. However, whenever I call it goes straight to voicemail, I never get a call back and the only time they call is to confirm my appointments. Also, the pharmacy sent over a fax for a diagnosis code on 9/9/25, I learned that today (9/16/25) from the pharmacy and they still haven't replied to them. The pharmacy is sending another fax but, in the meantime I get to suffer through 3 days of a migraine, as I can only take my one rescue med every 12 hours, the medication that they are failing to have refilled is the last rescue med I can take before going to the ER. It's very unfair and unprofessional that the front office staff doesn't answer the phone or return calls from patients or pay attention to faxes from the pharmacy. No one understands what it is like to suffer from chronic migraines until you have experienced them yourself. read more

If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and search for another doctor. I've never dealt with such a completely incompetent office staff. It's as if they TRY to screw up every single thing. Scheduled phone calls don't come as promised (after they somehow combined our cell and home number - when we asked them to fix it MULTIPLE times). Another time we were told they didn't know why we didn't get a promised call from the doctor for test results. We had an appointment! They didn't send referrals for surgery as promised. It's one thing after another. ANY TIME there is a chance to screw something up, they will! It's not just me, read other reviews. The doctor seems OK, but claims not to know about any of these issues. We brought it up. Now she knew; nothing improved. Do you want them dealing with your health or the health of a loved one? They are completely inattentive and obviously don't care. I was lucky to be referred to Dr. Rapoport 2 1/2 years ago. I have extreme issues with cervical stenosis/neck damage. I've had constant severe headaches for years. From my first office visit to the last one which was 2 weeks ago Dr. Rapoport listens and goes the extra mile to try everything she can to give me some relief. I'm never rushed and listened to with every and anything I might have concerns about. Dr Rapoport's office is a busy one for sure but I'm always accommodate and fell welcomed. Th trick to reaching a live receptionist is to wait until the prompt tell you to leave an email and just stay on the line with the music playing and you should get through . The email doesn't work all the time . If you have trouble call the member service of your insurance and they will reach out for you . Mine is scan and they were big help . Good luck . This is an update to my first review. Once again I am blown away by the dedication to service that I have received from Dr R and the girls up front. To make a long story short I am still recovering major surgery. It is very hard, if not impossible for me to get around to appointments, pharmacies etc. I called at what must have been lunch time today and left a lengthy message on the voicemail. I'm sure it didn't make any sense at all to whomever had to listen to it. But just like clockwork I got a call from from the gals assuring me they would try to help me out. They went extra mile to solve my dilemma. They sent text messages and photos back and forth with me to make sure I was taken care of. Then after they got of work they took my paperwork to the post office to make sure I received it in time. They saved me from having to make a long painful trip to the office. 2 months ago I got my severe migraine that lasted 3 weeks so I finally asked to see a neurologist. My migraine normally last no more than 3 days but this time it wouldn't go away regardless of all the meds I tried. Dr Rapoport saw me and got me treated right away after ER doctor thought that I was a joke. I had very high pain tolerance that i could run a full marathon with sprained ankle. I only came to ER so they can give me CT scan since after 8 days I finally gave up and showed up to urgent care ànd urgent care sent me to ER for CT scan since I cannot take narcotics and already take prescription drugs for my pain. I did banged my head at the end of December. Dr Rapport was able to get me a CT scan and treated me for severe migraine since all the migraine meds I tried but failed. She gave me thê treatment in her office since I begged her to help me so I could go back to work the next day...I can take disability but I chose not too since I want to work! She saved my life literally since I was in so much pain I became suicidal!!! Thank you so much doctor and your wonderful staffs for the great patient care!!! I'm forever grateful for you! read more

I saw Dr. Rapoport last week. I'm 75 years old and she was the nicest, most knowledgeable doctor that I've met with. She spent more than an hour listening and speaking with me. There was no rushing me or cutting me off. She didn't "talk down" or make me feel unimportant. It was I was the only patient she had. I got emotional at one point and she was so sweet to me. Unfortunately, she was unable to help me, but I still left her office feeling hopeful. She referred me to a special clinic. Unfortunately they don't use phone lines so you have reach out to them via email, I had them drop the ball on my chart the moment I left my first new patient appointment. I was told to come in after my imaging for them to tell me that they never received all the imaging I got so that I would have to bring in my own copies even though they're the ones that ordered it so they should be able to have access to an order they placed to themselves. This is the most unorganized & worst Dr I have ever come across. I had a follow up appointment for my lumbar spine issue after I got MRI done at lab. My appointment was at 11.45am. I got a text msg at 10.45am for on line check in at 11.45am which I did. I also reached Dr's office before 11am & was waiting. Neither No one showed up until 12.45pm nor they had a courtesy to call me. The door was locked & they never showed up. DANGEROUS STAFF! PLEASE SHARE THIS! WAY DEEPER THAN INCOMPETENT, LAZINESS, NOT CARING. They know EXACTLY what they're doing. This has escalated to more than just a game. I will be filing a FORMAL COMPLAINT THEY LITERALLY PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL! As new patient last year, Dr Rappaport diagnosed me with severe left temporal lobe damage and symptoms of the damage progressing to epilepsy. Dr. wanted me closely monitored . TWICE in the last year-and-a-half I desperately tried to reach dr. R because the symptoms where are escalating at a rapid rate oh, they were terrifying and dangerous. Both occasions countless calls, voicemails and LIVE CONVERSATIONS with these two girls. Even my neuropsychologist gave me his personal cell number, and tried to reach her. On that occasion, I receive a voicemail that both doctors connected, and per Dr. R I was to flip my insurance card over and call the 800 number for mental health. I finally got around these two by calling Huntington Beach. The girl there knows her stuff I told her what was going on, she had me in with the doctor the very next day. On both occasions dr. Rappaport had absolutely no knowledge of any attempts whatsoever. This last occasion however she basically called me a liar. Said she found it hard to believe I had called that many times and she never heard about any of them. And she did not speak with my neuropsychologist, nor did she believe that he had called. Last year when this happened she was very upset as not one message got to her. She said that she knew she needed to fire one of the girls but just didn't have the guts to do it. I told her right then and there that that girl was dangerous. read more

The doctor is amazing! The current staff sucks! They do not answer nor return messages. They have prided themselves on telling callers they "had to fire" someone meaning Josie as if it was her fault that they don't follow through. They made sure to get her terminated months ago so clearly Josie was not the issue. Josie returned messages & if she saw you in the caller id she would call back. New office staff has mean girls clique vibe. I hope Josie gets well compensated for everything she did and was for that office. Every time there was new staff over the years she trained them, she worked alone when there was no additional staff & she took all pt bs on the chin & did it all with a smile. New staff doesn't speak or greet patients at all. Our visit on 3/1 resulted in a recommendation for an MRI that was supposed to be considered Urgent but the insurance company 11 days later says nothing was submitted. Two phone messages and a note in the door got nowhere as did a fax from the insurance company. Nearly all calls get dropped with no voicemail option. No alternate doctor or phone numbers available. Having suffered from migraines and neuralgia for decades, I have to say meeting Dr. Rapoport has been a lifesaver for me. I call her an angel and Dr. Awesome because she's been so willing to help me even when her schedule is full. She is not only an expert in her field, but she is so compassionate and willing to help. Her front office staff are also incredible. I've been in the office and heard them on the phone with insurance, fighting to get approvals for medicine for me. I've never had people fight to help me, so hearing that absolutely touched my heart. Living alone with migraine and trigeminal/occipital neuralgia is terrifying, so having people on my side, trying to find something that gives me relief is something of a miracle. The location is easy to find, and there is a parking structure, which you have to pay for, so I park over in the Old World Village parking lot. Haven't been in trouble for that yet. Fingers crossed. All in all, if you're one of those that suffer with head pain that feels life-ending, try to get your insurance to send you to Dr. Rapoport. I began seeing Dr Rapoport for migraines in summer 2019. It was very easy to make the appointment with her staff, but after that, everything became like pulling teeth. After my first appointment, I spent weeks trying to get back in touch with her office to follow up on a prescription. I called multiple times a day trying to get someone on the phone and left several voicemails over the course of 3 or 4 weeks and never got a response once. I finally gave up calling and drove to the office without an appointment to speak with reception in person about my prescription. Only after that did anything get done. I will be looking for a new neurologist after this experience. The office staff here does not answer phone calls and will not return your voicemails. It is worth it to me to drive a little further for an office staff that does not become completely useless after the initial appointment is made. read more

Came here minutes before my appointment, just prior to 2:30. The door was locked and a staff member came out and and stated that the great lunch until 2:30 as the sign says, so we waited.. and waited and waited. Finally it's about 2:40 and we start knocking and staff member josey and Vanessa answer and state that the sign is wrong and is based on when they actually went to lunch. I get that but your clients waiting outside don't. It would be highly advisable to simply put the words "approximately" or "approx" prior to their lunch times so clients get that wait is in no absolute amount of time. Making matters worse is that on the door there was sign stating that they're out of parking validations meaning that the long we wait outside the door for their lunch break, the more you pay. Dr. Rapaport is incredibly rude. She dropped some bad new on me and I want a family member who was out of the country to hear what she said but she refused.
