I usually order online and it's always ready by the time I get to the store, 10 minutes tops. My favorite thing to get here is the Mango with ice cream and I highly recommend it. Even at 50% sugar level, it is sweet. The Strawberry with ice cream is more tart, that one I recommend 100% sugar level. Otherwise, it's like any other boba place, but I do prefer coming here to get my boba fix than other places. There's a lot of parking and 2 different lots as well to choose from, a lot of places and different genres of foods to pick from in the area. There are very few indoor seating and the bathroom is off limits to customers. I just recommend grabbing anything to go and walking around. Ordinarily, I am a cheapskate. A $6 beverage is considered high to me. However, I don't mind splurging on a quality product every so often. The frozen beverages here are delicious. Rare tea is delicious! I ordered the creme brulee caramel milk tea, and it was awesome. The flavor was on point, and it had hints of caramel and creme Brulee. The Tapioca pearls were the right chewiness. Some places get boba wrong, but rare tea does it right. I definitely recommend rare tea. read more

I am a regular at RareTea since I live in the neighborhood and can walk there for a treat. I'm so glad to have this boba shop in the Alameda Landing shopping complex. They changed ownership and became RareTea from the previous Sharetea franchise, but they still sell my favorite menu options from Sharetea. I don't consume caffeine or dairy so some boba shops have nothing for me, but I love the drink options at RareTea. I rotate between the Honey Lemon Aloe drink, and the Ice Blended flavors of Taro with pudding or the Oreo one. I appreciate the efficient service and being able to phone in my order for quick pick up. Not too bad! They also sell snacks. But to be honest, I'm not a fan. The trip before last, I got my daughters the mozzarella sticks and the fried shrimp. The mozzarella sticks were kind of bland. Hubby and I stopped by RareTea with his sister and nephew. I've never been, but Hubby has. We got a drink and some mozzarella sticks to snack on. I got the peach black tea and Hubby got the mango passion fruit green tea. I should've gotten the drink with less sweetness, as it was a bit on the sweeter side. The mozzarella sticks was different from other places, it was like they made it their own. The seasoning was a bit salty though, but it was overall good. I really like the drink from here. I'm looking forward to coming here and trying their other drinks and other snacks that they have. I kinda like this better than the Share Tea that use to be here. RareTea so far has made my drink the way I like it and it's never bland tasting. I stopped by after dinner and there was no one inside. I got the mango green tea with lychee jelly which is one of their best selling drink. It wasn't too sweet and I thought it tasted really good. I probably tasted more green tea than mango. Cashier was nice and they were quick with making my drink. There's not much seating inside. Honestly, I hate being racially profiled...it Juss kinda digs into me a little I come here all the time. I work in the shopping center. I put my coworkers on this place. I went in today: I ordered online but my coworker wanted another drink. I bought it at the counter and went to pick up my order with my name on it. He took the drink away and asked for my receipt. I said it was done online I didn't have one. I didn't feel a way until the way he looked at me: like I was a liar. I remembered they sent a email. I went through my email and showed him the time and price thinking that should be good and he said go all the way down so he can see it's the right drinks. He sees it: "oh okay" & I ACTUALLY TIPPED HIM! $4 for the online for 2 drinks and $2 at the counter for 1 drink. I always tip bc I know how hard it is to work in fast food. Gave him a tip for him to racially profile me. I have my loyalties towards Boba Binge. However, I saw that Rare Tea was having a BOGO deal so I decided to try it. I got the Grapefruit Green Tea, I honestly was not expecting it to taste the way it did. I ordered boba & grass jelly. My first initial sip, it was BITTER. Like, I get it. Could be from the grapefruit but to me, it was not my jam. I can see why it's BOGO free lol! My grass jelly was a huge blob. It didn't separate like normal grass jelly would. Like when you suck out the boba you should be getting grass jelly too! But nope, I had to literally rip the top open and eat the jelly. Lol. My boyfriend ordered the Taro blended with Oat milk and really liked it. Their popcorn chicken is SO yummy. I'll give them that. Their mozzarella sticks were okay. I love how they give you marinara, but they give you a small size of it. So I had to bust out my ranch and use that for the remaining sticks. They were crispy but they weren't amazing. Like it just tasted like any other frozen mozzarella sticks. The service was pretty quick. I ordered through Uber Eats, but as far as getting my food prepared & ready, it was quick. I decided to come by this place since my parents live in the area. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with boba and popcorn chicken. The passion fruit green tea had a bitter aftertaste to it. Passion fruit green tea is my go to drink if I'm not sure of what to order for my first time at a boba place, and I was a little disappointed about it. I also wouldn't recommend the popcorn chicken- it wasn't crispy like other places and the texture just didn't taste right to me. There was a point that I had to spit it out onto a napkin to check if it was cooked properly. The best that I can describe it is like a fried mashed potato texture. Bad service I come to this boba shop pretty often and I always tip my order because I once was a barista myself. However, today, March 4th 2023 around 5:25pm, I went in to pick up my friend her order. I was not greeted at all and was ignored when trying to get the baristas their attentions. It was super disrespectful and rude. At that time, it was semi-slow. Even though you're making drinks, you can at least respond by stating "one moment" but I was not given a respond and was ignored completely. At the moment, it was a young lady who was making the drinks. Then there was a guy who entered walking free from the back and I went ahead and try to get his attention and said "excuse, the guy in the back", he also completely ignored me. I'm not sure this is what customer service is supposed to be. I literally stood there for 5mins just to get my friend's drink. This is super unacceptable and rude. Update: hot taro decaf has a very different taste from their normal hot taro 1. Their Hot Taro milk tea decaf 50% sweet is creamy, taroy and very flavorful. Bought a rose milk tea to throw away, the guy at the counter was very nice. Two girls made my drink, been to many milk tea places. I thought it was common knowledge that since most Asians can't handle real milk. They would use a milk powder or at least ask what kind of milk I wanted or could handle. As they were making it I saw her use a milk carton with a blue cap. I thought hmm weird, maybe that's their milk mixture. It was a cup full of 2 percent milk and very little rose tea. I can't handle regular milk and I had never had to explain to an Asian milk tea chain before. Next time make sure you aren't getting real milk if you have a problem. My go to place because it's so close by! This spot was originally a ShareTea but recently switched over to RareTea. I really have no complaints about this place! Today was my first time trying RareTea and I definitely will be returning! I was welcomed upon my entrance by kind employees and a clean store. The person working at the register had asked if I had any questions and even gave his suggestions since it had been my first time. I ended up going with a Thai Milk Tea w/ Boba, Lite ice & 50% sweet. The tea was made fresh and came as a beautiful milk / tea ombré. I was so happy to find they didn't use any powders as many other boba shops tend to do especially with Thai Milk Tea. The drink has a strong tea flavor but is still perfectly sweet to my liking! The boba is chewy and definitely worth it!
