    L. Matcha Latte (10). R. Lg. Kittea house milk tea (n/c) on bench in alley
    Victor G.

Kittea Cafe opened recently where Tea O' Clock once was. No seating inside. Seating available on benches in walkway next to parking lot. Sparse decor. Vanilla white walls. Order at counter or on kiosk to left of counter. Single barista handled order taking, creation of drinks & serving same. One person ahead of me. Got my drinks in 5ish minutes. Offerings: Specialty tea drinks, milk teas, fruit teas, slushes, coffee, toppings. BOGO effective early Nov. Sips: Matcha Latte (10) -had a mix of "ceremonial matcha" & whole milk -didn't taste any matcha flava. Would skip next time. Large Kittea House Milk Tea (6.50) no charge -had nice chewy bobas. Milk Tea very sweet. could faintly taste tea. -worthwhile to order again. 3.5 stars semi-worthy: YMMV. Quality: hit or miss. Inconsistent. Matcha a miss. Quantity: reasonable

Dropped by for the first time a couple weeks ago during their soft opening and the girl behind the counter was super nice and welcoming. No one else was inside, so I ordered a banana latte and she started making it right away. The menu here isn't large but they have some unique drinks I don't often see at other boba shops. I also love the cat theme in their branding, which even extends to the cute boba cat neon sign in the window that they added on my second visit the following week. The prices are pretty reasonable too, with almost every drink ranging from $5.25 or $5.75 for a small to $6.00 for a large. The most expensive drink is the banana latte at $7.50 (just my luck, but it's worth it). I ordered the same drink both visits and was happy to see that the quality and taste were consistent. It was just as delicious the second time as it was the first and wasn't at all overly sweet. Just the right hint of banana added to smooth coffee with a rich, deep flavor. I definitely plan on finally trying one of the other drinks, I just have to pry myself away from the banana latte (if there's a banana drink or dessert on a menu, I'm buying it). It helps that this place is so close to my house and the girl behind the counter is always so pleasant to everyone who comes in. Really hoping these guys can make it (this spot seems to be cursed) and that they do well long term.

Cute little spot in the heart of Downtown San Leandro! There are no tables inside but there's a small bench against the wall for your convenience while you wait for your order. There's also a walk-up touch screen if you prefer to order that way instead of at the counter. Prices are reasonable, drinks are solid, & the ambiance is cozy. As of this review's written date (Jan 2026), they offer 20% off the total price if you show your student ID! What I tried + recommend (see uploaded photo for reference): - melon cream soda - soda cloud slush (very light in flavor, subtle sweetness) - strawberry yogurt

How cute! 25% sweet, no boba, milk tea.

Passed by this cute new store. I ordered their Black sugar latte which is pretty good and not too sweet. I also got their mystery box with some cute snacks! They offer 20% discount on students so make sure bring your student ID. Great deal!

Smells good. Seating is good. Great service. Tea flavor and sweetness very good. Boba has ok texture. Gift box is awesome. Waffle is very yummy. No ice level choice. No sweetness choice for fruit tea. 5*

Great service and friendly staff. Delicious drinks! I'll be a regular at this new boba shop!

    Soda Cloud Slush

Cute little boba shop in downtown San Leandro! I went during their soft opening and was able to take advantage of their Buy 1, Get 1 deal. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, and the store itself was really clean. They had a kiosk you can order from, or you can also order from the staff at the register. My favorite of the drinks I got was the Pink Punch, which included watermelon balls that I could eat while drinking, and it was overall really refreshing! I also got the Soda Cloud Slush which tasted like candy, and the Matcha Latte also tasted great! I noticed they used a really good quality matcha powder, no "fishy" tasting matcha here! I also ordered the Bingsoo Slush and Brown Sugar Milk Tea for my family, which they also really liked. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

I got a "spend $6, get $3 off" promo in my app since it had been a while, and it lured me right through the door. My goal was to stay as close to that $6 mark as possible to practically get a freebie. I originally ordered a large drink and a pastry, but when the total hit $12, I had the barista knock the drink down to a medium to save a few bucks. After the discount, I walked out spending $8. Sneaky marketing--they got me to spend money I hadn't planned on! For my order, I tried the Iced Lavender Vanilla Matcha. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the spot, so I only drank about half of it. I also grabbed a Lemon Blueberry Danish. Now, I have a personal rule about "open-air" pastry cases--if food is sitting out all day, it's an open invitation for gnats or flies to dance all over it! Usually, I prefer when they pull a fresh one from the back wrap counter. When I noticed the barista pull mine straight from the display, I asked her about it. She was sweet and assured me everything was fresh and they didn't have a gnat problem right now, so I decided to take a chance since she was warming it up. Sadly, the danish wasn't very delicious either, and I only ate a few bites. Even though the food and drink were a miss for me today, I still love coming into this Peet's. The atmosphere is always so incredibly calm and peaceful, and the baristas are always so friendly, upbeat, and polite. I'll definitely be back for my usuals, but I'll probably pass on the lavender and the display case next time!
