Roasted Oolong Tea-Presso Milk Tea with brown sugar boba ($7.25) and a Taro smoothie with pudding topping ($7.25).
    Ame G.

Had lunch next door and was craving post lunch boba tea (how convenient). This place was very clean and so welcoming. They're the sweetest staff and they made our day (thank you Colleen)! On top of that, ROASTED OOLONG TEA was on the menu! I cannot express the rarity of that (quite fitting to find it at "Rare Tea"). Phoenix oolong milk tea is my all time favorite and I chase after it any time I pop into a boba tea shop. So, of course I happily ordered a "Roasted Oolong Tea-Presso Milk Tea" with brown sugar boba ($7.25) while the hubby ordered a Taro smoothie with pudding topping ($7.25). Both drinks were excellent and that roasted oolong tea-presso ranks similar to my favorite Phoenix Milk Tea back home. Dog friendly outdoor seating is also provided, which is another bonus. Great visit all around!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Renè who warmly welcomed us with a smile. Since it was my first time there I wasn't sure how all of the tea flavors tasted and she was very knowledgeable about the teas, the flavors, the pairings of toppings and milk options both plant based and non which made it very useful for me as a vegan consumer. The atmosphere was very mellow and had very modern style tables and stools along with chill music to fit the vibe of the whole place. The wooden tables and chairs created a cozy feel but still fitting in with the hipster vibe of downtown Orlando. Amongst the tea options they also had cold teas with boba as well as icecream flavors and toppings that are served in house made waffle cones. During this visit we purchased the Okinawa tea hot which tasted like a warm, explosion of flavor. The best way I can describe it would be a nutty and comforting taste with what reminded me of biscoff. The next flavor was the brown sugar caramel tea with oat milk. The oat milk gave that cozy vibe of an oatmeal essence that warms the soul. I can not wait to return and try other flavors of these wonderful selections provided by this amazing tea spot. I would recommend for anyone and everyone to go and check this establishment out so they can enjoy it as much as I did.

Very delicious!! I like coming to rare tea on special occasion when im feeling like a treat. Since this isnt ordinary tea, its RARE TEA! I love to get the Strawberry Snow Cream - which is strawberry tea with a cheese foam on the top. I actually didnt know this, but i saw the employee blending up the strawberries fresh! So good! There is a small seating area to chill and drink your teas. There range in price from about $6-9 for 1 tea. You can add boba if you want but its not my preference most of the time. You can also add the cheese foam to any tea. They have lots to pick from - fruit teas to milk teas. Definitely come by and try out Rare Tea! FYI - parking is in the garage behind the plaza and there is 30 minutes for free.

This is one of my favorite places to get brown sugar boba. I am pretty picky when it comes to brown sugar boba but rare tea does it differently. It may be overly sweet for others but I enjoy the combination of milks they use to create the beverage. The staff is always friendly and the interior designing is cute. Their fresh teas are also great. I have tried the passion fruit one and it is delicious. Rare Tea also offers other desserts but I have not tried them yet. It is perfect sweet treat if you are near Lake Eola and want to grab something. Their prices are fair and there is never a long wait (or so every time I have been).

4 stars for some good boba from someone who visits boba at least once each weekend! It's nice Rare Tea also has ordering on Uber Eats, I can get in and out pretty quickly ordering ahead. The space itself is on the smaller side but it's decorated nicely. We've tried a couple different teas, the Viet Coffee when we want a serious caffeine kick, Thai tea and Okinawa Milk Tea. The boba is pretty fresh but sometimes the portion is smaller. It's nice the drinks come with pebble ice, I like the slush at the end when drinking the tea. It can get rather difficult to visit since there isn't any assigned parking but I always order ahead so I can pop in quickly. It's worth giving Rare Tea a try if you're in Thornton Park!

Wow! What a great place! I came in to grab a treat with some coworkers and had a great time! The interior of the shop is beautiful with nice wood tables and calm music playing. The staff were very nice and made such beautiful drinks. I got the matcha rose latte and it was lovely. The matcha and rose flavors were both strong and worked well together. The drink tasted as good as it looked! This is a great place to get your favorite tea treats!

I see this store when I pass by downtown and today I decided to try it. It didn't disappoint me! Friendly staff, simple and cute layout, and their milk tea is good! Flavorful and the sweetness is not overwhelming. #honestreview

Enjoyed a fruit smoothie on a cool Sunday afternoon while listening to soothing tunes in a calm, and clean downtown spot w/ helpful staff more than willing to describe the menu and answer questions.

Initial thought: Beautiful interior and great location being next to a ramen bar. My Thai tea was good- not the best I've ever had. I'll go back and try other flavors.

My friend and I ordered the Caramelized Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk and Okinawa Milk tea. Unfortunately the brown milk was way too thick. It was creamy like how it should be but it was way too creamy that it was thick to swallow. The okinawa milk tea was the opposite. My friend said it tasted too watered down by the ice even when we tasted it right away once it came out. I'm guessing the proportions were off? But it shouldn't have tasted so watered down and the brown milk shouldn't have been so thick that we had to mix the two to get a regular consistency. The only good thing is that flavors were good but off proportions, and the boba was good texture

One of my favorite spots in Orlando for boba tea! Hands down the best place to get a Brown Sugar milk tea! The warm caramel flavor in the milk gives a wonderful warm cookie feel and flavor. The service is always wonderful! The team is very friendly and always warm and welcoming! This is one of my favorite treat yo' self spots in Orlando! I always stop by when I'm in the area. I'll be back soon!

Place is not welcoming. Floor is sticky, its full of boxes everywhere and seems kinda abandoned. The brunette lady was very attentive though. I got the caramel brown boba and it was terribly sweet! Thank God she changed for me. I honestly didn't like the vibes of this place! It bothers me spending almost $10 on a drink where you are paying for the "experience" but there's no experience at all

My rare tea was made quickly and tasted so refreshing on a hot summer day! I ordered the mango passion fruit with boba (25% sweet) I'm not usually in that area but I know I'll be stopping in again to try some of the more flowery drinks.

The open kitchen lets customers watch the boba being simmered in a wok, and we got to see the staff torch the brown sugar topping before serving. We ordered through the self-serve kiosk with no wait. The shop was modern, clean, and the drinks looked promising. Since it's located in a strip plaza, expect plenty of foot traffic and moderate noise during busier times. Our total came to about $18 after adding boba and upgrading both drinks to a large. We tried the Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Dalgona Coffee Foam. The fresh boba had a great chewy texture, but both drinks were much too milky for my taste. The Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea lacked a noticeable brown sugar flavor. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Dalgona Coffee Foam was slightly more flavorful after mixing, but I was still disappointed by how mild the coffee tasted. The menu describes it as having "a perfect balance of sweetness and robust coffee flavor," but I was expecting a much bolder coffee profile that wasn't overpowered by the milk.

While the interior is more modern than the bakeries I grew up visiting in Flushing, New York, the food itself reminded me of home. I picked up a hot dog bun and a custard egg tart from the bakery, then ordered the Hong Kong sticky rice and lychee mango fruit tea with boba (50% sugar, 50% ice). These are some of my favorite comfort foods, and while the prices were a bit higher than what I'm used to back home, I was pleasantly surprised by every item I tried. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The hot dog bun was soft, and the egg tart had a flaky crust with smooth custard. The sticky rice, wrapped in a lotus leaf, was warm, comforting, and had the subtle savory flavor I love. The fruit tea was refreshing, with real pieces of lychee and mango mixed in. There was plenty of seating for my friend and me to sit, relax, and enjoy our treats. If you're looking for authentic Asian bakery favorites in Orlando, Bakery 1908 is worth checking out. It's the perfect spot for brunch, whether you're craving something sweet or savory or just want a refreshing drink. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm missing the flavors of home.

This time we stayed on I-Drive and found that they have a new location closer by in Lake Buena Vista, which we love even more than the first one. It's newer and way more spacious with a higher ceiling. The mural, the seatings and the greenery all help to create a very cozy and relaxed environment. It's busier too and harder to find a parking spot though. Their breads are so delicious, with so many varieties we always have a hard time deciding what to get, since we want them all! The swiss roll right by the entrance are delicious too! They also have cookies, and their crepe cakes are closest to Lady M than any other I've tried. You can tell that the crepe is really thin with rich layers of cream in between. It's an Asian bakery so the sweetness level is not as intense, and the bread dough is on the soft and pillowy side. Oh did I mention they also offer dimsum and a bunch of other things too. Yes, you can eat your breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea here. And probably still want more.

The drinks were okay overall and refreshing, but coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, where there are so many strong boba options, I found the quality a bit underwhelming. The flavors were decent, but neither drink stood out as particularly memorable. The taro lacked some of the richness and depth I usually look for, and the mango drink felt a little too sweet for my taste. The boba itself was acceptable, though the texture wasn't as chewy and fresh as what I'm used to at many Bay Area boba shops. Service was friendly, and the drinks were prepared quickly. The vibe is casual and welcoming, making it a convenient stop if you're in the area and craving a sweet drink. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but having tried many boba shops in the Bay Area, I felt the drinks didn't quite compare in terms of flavor and quality.
