Ordered MILD butter chicken with naan bread for takeout and the register lady asked me twice to confirm for MILD and ended up getting home trying it to find out that it's the regular spicy which due to health issues my gut cannot handle ANY sort of spice. Complete disregard of the cooks and the front register lady to serve whatever they want because they didn't want to make a mild batch it seems. Next time just make what the customer pays for instead of cutting corners. Thanks.

Garlic Naan soo good. Had to order another one for to go.

This place has good butter chicken with garlic naans. Service here is friendly and then place has seating. Nice and neat place. Try this place if you're into or trying new culture food.

Masala?
Ashley D.

I've been coming here for years and always get the same thing, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. They were renovating all last week so I got it today and they're not 100% set up cause they couldn't do garlic naan so I got Roti which was good but my issue was with the tikka masala. I've ordered it for years now, I know that meal down to the color and texture. None of the meat was chicken breast, the color and taste was off, I don't even know if it was chicken. I called and the guy told me " yeah it's chicken" as if he could see through my phone. He offered to give me a free order of the chicken tikka masala but if it comes out like this I'm not sure I'd want it. To make matters worse I ordered ahead and took longer than expected which made me late back to work. I hope they go back to the old recipes cause now I have no lunch.

I strongly recommend giving this place a try, don't let the hole in the wall appearance fool you. The uncles running this place were all sipping their tea when i came in and i honestly loved that. Food was amazing, i got their butter chicken, lamb curry and chicken curry. Definitely pair your main entree with their Naan, i got both rice and naan and would go all naan nxt time.

Great Indian food! I ordered for pick up, which is what most people seem to do here. There was no one dining in the restaurant on the Sunday evening I went, but many bags of to-go items ready for pick-up. Call ahead to order because the estimated pick-up time for me was about 35 min. They call when your order is ready. Every item was delicious. This is the first time I tried Manchurian gobi so I don't have anything to compare it too, but I liked it. The Chicken Tikka Butter Marsala is on the sweeter side and the chicken pieces were not at all dry. Curries come with side of rice. Biriyani was spicier than I expected (I ordered mild). Overall, a solid Indian food restaurant and I would come again.

Excellent customer service by the woman working front of house. She greeted us and brought out bottled water for us to drink (extra bonus points) while we looked over the menu. We decided on chicken biryani, chicken tikka marsala, garlic naan, and samosas. Everything was delicious! Especially the yogurt sauce that goes on the biryani. I had an extra pleasant dining experience due to the woman's customer service. She went above and beyond for my son. She noticed the food was too spicy for my son so she brought out a mango lassi complimentary on the house. That was so awesome of her! Thankfully I carry cash so I was able to tip; I asked to tip on my bill but she said they only accept cash tips so just a heads up. Overall, a lovely meal and dining experience. Thank you

Everything a bit over spiced, even when asking for mild. Also left off lassi from order and had to go back in and wait and pay again

Ask the Community - Rasoi

Why don't you have phone number? I wanted to call an order in for pick up but there is no phone number one here.

209 - 858 - 4444. We call them all the time to order at my work

Do they have vegan options?

Forgive my spelling. I believe the aloo ghobi and samosas are just a couple of their vegan options. I have friend at work who orders there all the time.

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)

The restaurant is in a little old school strip mall, supperrrr tiny but don't let that deceive you. Inside was packed and there was a line outside too. Ordered to-go and they said 20 mins but it was more like almost 30-40 min. Truly worth the wait though. Will definitely be coming back to this spot! Also, got a peek in the kitchen and the cooks looked authentic and Thai? That's why it's so yummy! lol.

Everyone here is so sweet and helpful, and from what I've observed, they know many of their customers by name. You can feel the genuine sense of community. That same care carries over into the food. Everything is fresh, wholesome, and intentionally made. You can tell they care about the food they're serving and the people they're serving it to. For the longest time, I couldn't stop ordering the turkey pesto sandwich because it was that good. Once I finally started trying other menu items, I realized it wasn't just one great sandwich. Everything I've had has been delicious. The coffee and tea are exceptional as well. Manteca is so lucky to have a place like Bean & Leaf. Given the multitude of licenses at stake in such enterprises, I wish to share my recent experience at this location. This morning, my husband and I visited, and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of our orders. He ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, while I ordered an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso at a temperature of 200 degrees. He also selected a ham, cheese, and egg croissant, and I opted for a bacon and cheese croissant. Regrettably, the items did not meet our expectations. The beverages lacked the desired strength; although the temperature was correct, I was informed after placing our order that they were out of oat milk and had to substitute it with almond milk. Given that we had already paid approximately $30, this was quite disappointing. Despite these concerns, we did not request a discount or refund, and we accepted the substitution that was communicated to us approximately 10 to 15 minutes after placing our order. On a positive note, the staff were very courteous, and the establishment was clean. However, I suspect that the items we ordered may not represent the best offerings on their menu. While the service was commendable, there was a notable wait involved. It would have been preferable to have been informed of the oat milk shortage prior to payment, as we might have chosen to leave at that point. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction led us to seek alternative options, and we subsequently drove to Stockton to visit Peet's Coffee, where we consistently find lattes prepared to our liking. While we may not return to this location, I do not wish to portray it negatively. It is clear that the establishment has potential, yet our experience did not align with our expectations.

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!
