This restaurant is amazingly great. Been here five times. Very consistent. We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we have had. Butter chicken is the best I have ever had. All orders are made fresh to order. Service is great. I dropped my spoon on the floor and it was very obvious before I could pick it up I was handed a clean one. These guys are very polite kind and friendly. They recognize us now. They food can be a BIT spicy. If you don't like spice order mild and you should be fine. I don't write reviews often, but felt I must this time because the food was terrible! Chicken tandoori, biriyani & butter chicken are so terrible that it is the worst indian food I have had in bay area in last 15+ years. That should tell folks a lot....also the guy who took the order at the counter was not customer friendly, which honestly I really don't care because I am looking for great Indian food. I am totally surprised with the 4+ star ratings of this restaurant, which led me to this restaurant! Even a average restaurant in south bay area in El Camino real is 10 times better than this restaurant. Hope this review will help someone! Came here for a lunch buffet yesterday. It was so good! And such good quality of food for a low price buffet. They also didn't charge extra for garlic naan. I really enjoyed the butter chicken - the chicken was tender, and the sauce had amazing flavor with just the right hint of cream! The curry was also good, but the sauce was a bit runny. The tandoori chicken was probably the best I've had anywhere else, because it was moist, and not dry like most places. I also very picky about my chai tea, because my uncle in law makes it from scratch and there's nothing quite like it, but this place has gotten it pretty on point. Aside from the buffet menu, we ordered Samosas and Bhel Puri. Prior to coming here, I looked at the menu on yelp and actually wanted to try the Pani Puri, but they took it off the menu. They were both quite different, which I wasn't aware (my misunderstanding) the Bhel Puri were more like rice puffs, but the Pani Puri are fried hollow wheat balls. The Bhel Puri was packed with a lot of flavor and spices, and it was definitely different than anything we usually order. I enjoyed it, and it's something I would order again, but I wouldn't say I'd order it every time I come in (hopefully that made sense). Service was excellent. This place is great! Probably the best tender chicken of all Indian places I've had. This is the 3rd time I've come and it's been consistent. I ordered for Miss Universe potluck. This time I ordered, Butter Chicken Mild, Butter Tikka Masala Medium, Chicken Biryani, and Garlic Naan. Butter chicken was so good and flavorful, this was the family favorite. This is a good dish for first timers. Tikka Masala was similar just with more spices. Biryani was delicious as well, perfect spice, texture was great. Garlic naan was good, but I probably will go back to just ordering Butter Naan. They might take a while to make the food, but quality. Any be rushed. Ordered parathas, what came out was couple of dried up Naans slapped together with hardly any spices or potatoes in the middle very trashy place for our taste, also noticed cook in the kichen was wiping his forehead sweat with the same towel he was using in the kitchen to clean plates with. I'm new to Lathrop/Manteca Area and had a serious craving for Goat curry. Found this restaurant by doing a basic search for Indian cuisine near me and Rasoi popped up. After reading a couple of reviews I decided to call in for take out. They had it ready for me within 20 minutes. They were both friendly over the phone and in person. The goat curry was amazing with just the right spice level. They always ask me how spicy would I like it and I appreciate that it's made to my liking. I've since been here 5 times within the last month! Ordered out 3 times and dine in twice. Their lunch buffet is the best. Always hot and fresh. I really enjoy the butter chicken. The worst customer service I have ever received!!! I placed an order by phone and picked it. When I got home I realized part of my order was missing and called back and was yelled at and told "you didn't order that!" Okay, that's fine. Maybe it was my mistake... so I tired to place another order for tandoori rotis, but rather than listen to me, the man on the phone decided it was a good idea to scream at the top of his lungs saying over and over again that it was my fault for not saying that I wanted tandoori rotis the first time it ordered. So I tried again to say "I would like to order the tandoori rotis now.." And he yelled some more, so I had to hang up on him. He was so loud that the people sitting near me could exactly hear what he said while we were on the phone. I wasn't being combative or telling them they were in the wrong. I have been a lathrop resident for past 5 years and rasoi used to be a good restaurant when this rude unprofessional girl was not the one managing it. She has no business manners and does not know how to talk to people. This happened in the past too where she argued with over what I am ordering put me on hold for 15+ min. And again today I just called 10 min ago regarding a order I did thru door dash and she was unprofessional and acting up. My daughter in law and I had the buffet lunch yesterday and it was amazing. I don't know if the menu changes daily but the choices we had were spot on. Tandoori chicken was moist and delicious, the butter chicken was heavenly. I need to have more variety in my choices when I eat out and this was the perfect way to try new, to me, items, thank you! They serve a tall bottle of chilled water with the meal and on a hot day it was so welcome. The staff were very attentive. The dessert was a carrot pudding, I've never had it before but I loved it! I've been here for their lunch buffet as well as their dinner. The lunch buffet had a good variety of meat/vegetarian options, and the option of regular naan or garlic naan plus tea. Everything was good, with nothing being too spicy. My favorites so far are their fish pakoras & tandoori fish..they're both amazing and fresh. The chicken biryani is also great. I am a Lathrop local and my family and i absolutely love the food here (i would give the food alone 4.5/5) so much so that every time we have an event we order a party tray but every single time i order a new one i am charged more and more for the same dish. Have confronted about it once was just told "oh new prices sorry my friend" even though their menu says a set price. Each time they just smack numbers into a calculator and boom thats what you pay and each time is different and more so i just advise to be careful and ask about the price or maybe show the menu before you pay. Or also they could update menus if that is so but it's basically a gamble every time i order so just beware! read more

My friend took me for the lunch buffet from 11:30 am - 2 pm mon- fri. It was awesome. Not a lot of choices but the flavor is great. The dishes are perfectly prepared, the spices balanced and flavorful. This place is probably the best Indian food in the valley. Packed with Indians, which is a good sign. I will definitely come back more often when I can for the lunch buffet. 2 main chicken dishes- butter chicken and curry chicken. All other dishes were vege (good for me) . 1 dessert and chai. All good. You also get naan, either regular or garlic. We had the garlic- it was light and fluffy, cooked just right. Definitely try out the buffet if you can. Totally worth the price. read more
