My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The tables were rather high for the chairs. I saw a family come in after us and the children were given some seat cushions. I might ask for them next time! My husband ordered a glass of Cabernet and I had the Pinot Grigio. Yelp photos showed a bar with a cocktail menu, but that is no longer available. I should have taken a menu photo because there are no longer entrees, just pizza and a special of the day which was lasagna. We each ordered a side salad, a half hot honey pepperoni and half margarita pizza, and a lasagna. The food was served hot and everything was fresh and tasted good. I felt the lasagna was pricy at $32 for a single portion with three small garlic bread pieces. I would not order it again. It was just okay. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert. It came with a delicious berry topping. It was excellent. The service was excellent. It is a small restaurant, so make a reservation to ensure a table. Just finished a wonderful meal at a very charming spot We stopped by Olive Oil Pantry when the market first opened and they were working on the restaurant and promised to come back..... life got busy but we finally made the time and we are so glad we did and are so ready to return. Service was wonderful, the entire staff welcomed us and dotted over us. Nice relaxing atmosphere where you can watch your meal being prepared and can interact with the staff. We had the appetizer special; bolognese served over toasted bruschetta and it was so fresh and so good.... I could've had just it as my main course. We then had a half-and-half pizza, choosing half Margherita and half pepperoni with hot honey. The crust was so thin and crisp, the best pizza we've had in the area. We finished our meal off with a slice of their olive oil cake with a drizzle of limoncello olive oil...... another great choice. We were so happy with our meal and the service and the interaction with the owners and staff that we definitely will be back. Will have to try some of their other dishes next time. This is a perfect "date night" location or a great place for a couples date. My only regret is that I didn't take photos of the beautiful dishes that we were served! Its been a yr since ive visited. Back then it was called The Hangsr Socialhouse. I came back to have the pizza. The pizza didn't skip a beat. Simply fantastic. At my last visit me and a friend tried all 4 pizza options. The two that I found the best tasting was the Margherita and the mozzs..cheese pizza in other words. So I got a half and half. Along with some chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Ive never had the pasta so I didn't know what to expect. It was tasty including the garlic bread. The portion was arguably small for the price. This hidden gem turned our uneventful stop in Lathrop into a truly memorable experience! Tucked away off the beaten path, this unassuming spot completely blew us away. Although we were initially disappointed that the main courses were unavailable during our visit, settling for the Caroline salad and Margherita pizza turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was easily the best pizza and salad we have ever tasted. You can taste the quality in every bite: the dough is fermented for three days, the pizza sauce is imported from Italy, and they use incredible California olive oil with a vinaigrette that is beyond compare. Definitely the best sit down restaurant in lathrop. Firstly, the service is phenomenal. I went in when the owner was there, and the lady was welcoming and explained in detail what makes the pizza unique. She had a very friendly attitude. Secondarily, the kitchen is open so you can see exactly what the chefs are doing from the dining area - everything looked clean and it was good to be able to see that. The pizza also tasted superb - there are not a lot of New Haven style pizzas in California, and it's great to see this unique style of pizza in the Central Valley. This review is solely based on service, we never got a chance to actually eat the food. We came in and thought the place was super cute. When we walked in we said hello and the gentleman at the entrance asked if we had a reservation and I asked if we needed one, mind you there were plenty of tables. There was a table in the middle (they all had their food), a table in the corner that was waiting for their food, and a couple that was waiting to pay. I didn't think anything of it because after looking around he sat us. This is where things got really weird and pretty rude. We looked at the menu and closed them to signal that we were ready to order. After about 10 minutes we still hadn't received water or any acknowledgement at all. Another person had come in after us, he was immediately seated, wasn't asked if he had a reservation, then the same guy that sat us (the waiter) went over after a moment and took his order. The waiter then put his electronic order taker down and was about to walk past us again and my boyfriend finally said something. My boyfriend was pretty upset because he felt we were being treated differently and being ignored. Maybe the guy was having a bad day or maybe he didn't like the way we looked because we weren't rude, we didn't do anything wrong, and tried to be patient but kept being ignored. After my boyfriend let the waiter know how rude it was that he kept walking past us, blatantly ignoring us, and acting as though we hadn't been sitting there waiting to be acknowledged, we walked out. I was so excited to try this place but now I will not waste my hard earned money on an establishment I felt treated me as though I was less than. read more

I was excited to see that Olive Oil Pantry had opened in a new location, with a twist! It's now Olive Oil Market & Restaurant, located right across from Dell'Oso Farms, off the freeway. The location opened about 3 weeks ago, so they're still working on getting everything where they want it with the market, etc. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I decided to try the Greek salad and fettuccine Alfredo, as I figured those would be best options for saving a part for the following day's lunch. The dressing options include a variety of the balsamics and olive oils offered by Olive Pantry, so I let them decide which they thought was best for my salad choice. The restaurant has an entrance from both the parking lot and through the market- the kitchen is open so you get to watch them prepare your meal. It's a small kitchen, therefore a semi-limited menu, but a tasty looking one! The fettuccine Alfredo is perfectly creamy and flavorful, and the bread served with it... a garlicky chef's kiss! If I need a pasta fix, this is where I'm headed. From my seat I got to watch (and maybe drool a little) as I watched the garlic being pressed into the pot for the next batch of Alfredo being concocted. Caroline, (sp?), was absolutely fantastic. Great hospitality and energy and she seems really excited to be in this new venture, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this little place! (Oh also... What a cool find in Lathrop! I came here with my hubby because we love to find cool, new, fresh restaurants to visit. After browsing the shop for local & sweet flavored honey's, and buying their orange blossom & wildflower honey, we grabbed a table for dinner. As a cheese lover, I had to get the cheese plate to start, and it came with the most amazing hummus! The owner told me it's a family recipe. Then came the bruschetta....sooo good! Check the picture! We heard the Margherita pizza was perfection & my hubby & I agree! The homemade crust was supremely thin & had the tastiest dollop of stracciatella cheese (only place on CA to use it like this) with a perfect basil leaf on top. Honestly, this was the best Margherita pizza I've ever had! The tomatoes are locally sourced & the crust is homemade & takes 3 days to fully rise! (See pic!) although our bellies were busting at the seams, I HAD to get the peach cobbler ala mode (IYNYN).
