I generally like shopping in the store on a regular basis. But BEWARE if you order ahead from the deli! This is the third time ( Sat 3/28 8:45 AM) I placed an order for pickup and the third time the lunchmeat is not cut to the thinness I requested (they ask on the order list how you want it sliced) Three times my order was incorrectly filled in 2 mo. is MORE than a coincidence. Either they are taking it leftover from the store shelf or they are too lazy to do their job correctly! If you can't be there to watch as it's sliced, don't buy it!!! read more

I called for clarity on a sensitive matter and because of the age of my child, I was redirected back to my child to ask the exact same questions that I was trying to clarity on. Same rating, but I had to say how pleased I was with my first birthday cake (vanilla w chocolate BUTTERCREAM icing) order !!! Fresh, dense, and absolutely delicious! Not too sweet - just perfect. 05/18/2025. Upon entering the store there was an SUV parked in the Fire Lane right under the NO PARKING, FIRE LANE, NO IDLYING. sign. (A daily occurance at this store.) I told the young woman sitting in the passenger seat, "Can you read? It says, 'No Parking, Fire Lane, No Idlying." She immediately went into victim mode and said, "Stop bothering me! You're harrassing me! I'm calling the police!" So, I called the police. To make a long stort, one smart aleck kid who works for ShopRite collecting carts out of parking lot told me with glee that, "You are a pathetic person. You must lead a sad life. Why don't you mind your own business? You're wasting police resources." I got no support from the ShopRite employees. I was the trouble maker. When the driver came out, a young strapping man in his mid-twenties, he threatened me with bodily harm. When I responded to him another ShopRite employee snapped at me, "Stop escalating the situation!" and said nothing to the driver. My family has been shopping at ShopRite since 1964, 61 YEARS. I will never shop at this or any other ShopRite supermarket. I'll shop at the Acme down the street from now on. read more

I went to the deli dept today about 10 am. There was not a live customer waiting (Probably the woman behind the counter shooed them away as she did me. She told me I would have to wait 1/2 hour because she was too busy with kiosk orders. To me this is customer service at its worst. I hope someone in management reads this. read more

I hate this place. There are so many ShopRites in the area and this one is by far the worst of them all. Ask an employee a question, like what isle something is located in....get attitude. Sorry if I bothered you. Go to the self checkout and an item's bar code won't scan. Hit the help button...get attitude. How dare you have a problem. I gave it two stars because they're typically pretty well stocked with everything. And as stores are finding shelves bear this one typically is well stocked. However the employees are god-awful. Every time I end up here I have regret. If you scroll through all of my yelp reviews I'm typically a pretty positive person, I usually won't write anything if I'm unhappy, I just won't go back. I'm a woman of color and my experience with this ShopRite on Evesham Road is that African Americans are treated differently, are watched like they are stealing. To top that I started a conversation with someone about the stress of caring for a parent with Alzheimer's the conversation great because I was going through a depression. However to my surprise the aisle that we stood on suddenly filled with shoppers looking at us in a condescending manner because he was of a different race. A twisted mindset that will likely throw off the balance of power in this United States and we will have no allies to support and respect us. We are all human beings and we all have good and bad, educated and uneducated families and everyone bleeds the same please learn to love, treat and get along with everyone. For grocery stores in the area, this one does just fine. You can find some decent deals here for a grocery store. The store is always super clean and well stocked. The parking lot is a bit smaller and sometimes it can be a pain to find a place to park, but if your in the back it really isn't a long walk! I prefer this Shoprite and will drive an extra five minutes (in regards to the closest one by my house) just for the cleanliness and less busy. read more

On Saturday, 5/21/22 when after spending two hours shopping in the store I proceeded to the checkout where they discovered at the time of payment that the "computers" were down and were unable to accept payments of anyone in the store or on the checkout line. HOW DID THEY HANDLE THIS!!!!! Did they try to come up with a "solution" ????. NO, NO, NO. They reacted as if the problem was the fault of everyone on line or in the store. The store did not know what to do to fix this. After waiting over any hour, I subsequently left my basket of $131.15?? worth of items after being berated by the manager as I was seeking a solution to pay the bill and get out of there as I could not wait any longer as my 91 year ill husband needed to get home to take his medications (as a matter of fact as we were leaving my husband was caused to lose his balance and fall on the floor because of this need). It is my understanding from calling the store later that day that the problem was not resolved until 4:00 and this happened around 11:00 in the morning. I have been a Ravitz Shoprite customer since the late Steve's grandfather opened his first store in the Woodcrest shopping center and I am sad (and I'm sure he would be as well) to see what has happened to this Shoprite and I will not return to THIS STORE. If want a Shoprite I will go to Zallie's in Berlin whose customer service is well above this store. read more

I went this morning today at around 11 and the customer service was just abhorrent. I was checking out my groceries and I heard one of the employees berating one of the customers. Apparently, the customer wanted to use a coupon for an item, but it did not qualify for a discount because of the weight. An employee came over and the customer asked this employee if it could still be used since the weight was pretty darn close. She told the customer that the customer needed to "read the coupon better" and to stop yelling at her, but the customer wasn't yelling. If anything, it was the employee. The employee eventually walked away very rudely, and the customer had to wait for someone else to help her. If it was one of the high school employees who work here I would understand because they don't have the experience or work after school or whatever, but this employee was around my age. I do not want to shop here if the employees/managers are quick to insult my reading ability or emotional intelligence if one of my items is 1/8th of an ounce off from a coupon's restriction. I don't know if it was the weather or the customer's race or something, but that is not how you treat any customer. Furthermore, I am shocked that no other employee stepped in, either to help the customer or to correct the employee. To anyone reading this, it might be best to avoid the customer service at this one. read more

I would say this is an average grocery store. Depending on when you go you may have a really nice selection of fruits and veggies, or it will seem picked over. The staff has usually been pretty helpful whether it's the deli or check out, the kids hawking the carts also seem to do a good enough job at not allowing the strays to ding anyone's car. The bakery has been ehh, sometimes the fresh donuts and bagels are spot on, other times they are closer to stale. It's a decent local grocery store, has pretty much what you need and you can usually get in and out pretty quick, but you don't feel wowed like some grocery stores can make you feel. read more

My mom says "her" Shoprite is one of the fancier markets and, while it's no Whole Foods, that is not necessarily a bad thing. Good prices and a better variety of most things than my LA market at home. The baked goods selection is top notch, as are the fresh flowers. It's the only thing in its parking lot, which I love. Customer service was a '10' -- two people approached me when each (rightfully) perceived I was looking for something I couldn't find; one even went "in the back" to look for it. Wow. Today was my second time utilizing the customer service counter and the service was once again subpar. The first time was when I couldn't locate an item so I went to the customer service desk to ask for help. There was someone in front of me so I waited. I was the only person waiting directly behind this person. The young lady made eye contact with me so I know she saw me. Once she was done with the person in front of me she then proceed to help the person who came after me. Again, I was the only person waiting for a while. The person behind me walked up right as she was finishing up with the person in front of me. I had to interrupt them as she didn't even acknowledge me at all. She didn't even apologize when I said "excuse me. I was here first" she apologized to the other customer instead. Today, I went to the desk to purchase a lottery ticket. The girl at the desk acted like she didn't want to be there. She had a very poor attitude. Maybe she should be in the back stocking instead of dealing with people as I can clearly see she was not interested in dealing with people, not just towards me. I carried on without taking it personal and when we were done, I said thank you. She did not even care to say you're welcome or responded. I make an effort to be nice to people who work in the service industry because I know it's not easy but I also expect the same in return. I did not write a review the last time because it was an isolated incident. I feel like the customer service desk really should improve. Nicer than some of the other Shop Rites in the area. They carry some additional varieties of items that the other ones don't. They also don't share a parking lot with a ton of other big box stores, so it tends to be easier to get in and out of. read more

I have been going here for years not one single problem up untill now. I have always done my grandmothers shopping and they have always accepted the payments. She rights out a check for ShopRite and I'll fill the total in at the register. Last night they decided not to allow this to happen. Asked why is this a problem now after so many years. All they could say is well what's the names of the people who rang you up we will talk to them. Haha like really they said my grandma needs to be here I explain she's old and has a hard time leaving the house. Well with my cart filled they said I had one hour before they emptied it. I come back 45 mins later with my grandmother only for them to deny the check for the reason being it could come back and the manager would have to pay. Calling my grandmother broke to her face. Not a fan of this location. Parking is always a hassle and shopping carts fill the lot. Employees never ask if you are finding everything ok. In fact, they seem to almost avoid eye contact with customers. Once you get to the checkout, the cashiers have attitudes and the expectation is you should be bagging your own groceries and if they help with one or two bags, it's some kind of favor to you. I don't mind helping bag, but I don't like the fact that customers are expected to bag and, without so much as a "Thank You". I think I'll start doings shopping at Acme from now on. read more

Recently bought produce from this store. Within a day, fruit was moldy. Also bought greens and went bad in two days. I've bought chicken from here in the past and it came out cooked with a plastic texture. Clearly employees here do not care about quality. This establishment is expensive and has awful food to boot. It's a shame. This place is convenient to where I live. The prices are good. The people who work there are nice enough, and it's a big and well stocked store. The problem has been the quality of the meat and produce. Too many times we buy meat and produce that has an expiration date in the future but, when we go to eat it, it's not good. The meat is bad or rubbery when cooked, and the produce is rotted or starting to rot well in advance of the expiration date. This doesn't happen every single time, but it's happened enough where we won't go there any more. It's hit or miss. read more

All fish is freezer burnt, Swiss cheese was moldy, I qualified for free turkey but would not give it to me on Black Friday, and swordfish was bad and old bay shrimp tasted sour and old. This store is dirty and infested with bug. Bought pasta in cardboard boxes there and when opened found ants inside. NO KIDDING two boxes had ants alive inside box. The meat they sell is inferior and look at label it says born in mexico raised in USA. I now goto the acme in Voorhees with better lancaster meat born and raised in usa. The prices may be higher at Acme but atleast nothing is living in the boxes. The shoprite is right near my house too but this store is disgusting and workers are rude. So..... This place is always a disaster. We normally drive out of our way to visit one of the other area markets. We live about one mile from this store. My fiancé recently decided to give the "shop rite from home" a shot. You order online and pick up at the store. It sounds great. The first time we tried it we had a small simple order($70), and it went fine. We decided to do it again, now for the problems. This time we ordered around$180 worth of groceries. Upon returning home, we found we were missing a few items. Returned to the store and they said "you weren't billed for those items" who gives a shit that I didn't pay for them? I used this service for the convienence. It's not convenient for me to have to come back to this hell hole to pick the items you failed to put in the bag. So on day 2 we realized there are a few more items missing. What a great service! We also found that some of our items we're sort of wrong...like bone in chicken breast that should've been boneless. It just pisses me off to think that I paid these clowns an extra $5 to fuck up my order. Never again. I would recommend acme, rastellis, trader joes or any of the competing grocery stores. I have had constant and repeated problems at this store for many years. I stopped shopping there years ago because of issues. I am more than frustrated with the problems at this store. Everything from employees , in particular in the produce department, standing in the way of customers while socializing with each other or stocking and acting as if the customer is inconveniencing them as they attempt to purchase items-paying their salary and keeping the store open! This store has some of the most unfriendly staff I have ever seen. It seems the staff here go out of their way to avoid looking at or speaking to their customers-wow! The people in the dairy section are the rudest of all and have no business working anywhere near customers. I have received some of the nastiest looks from employees stocking in this area. The interesting part is that is the worst stocked area of the store. So today, I did my shopping and purchased groceries for the week. One of the ONLY reasons I still shop at this store is because they have a slightly better selection than the one closer to where I live. Happy that today they had devil's food cake donuts my kids like, I grabbed a box. At check out I put them on the belt along with my other groceries.When I got home guess what- no donuts! Not only that, I consumed half a chocolate bar while shopping, placed this up on the belt-guess what- no chocolate bar made it in my bags either.The only positive is I wasn't charged for the donuts or for the chocolate bar-which I should have been. Also during a recent trip I returned some vitamins. After debating with the employee at customer service I asked to speak to the manager, who understood my position and sided with me-not that I was necessarily right. She told the employee to refund my money and for how much-great. Not really. Not only did the employee not refund my money to my credit card, but several days later I learned that she charged me the amount that was supposed to be refunded. Accident, I think not.Yet another trip back to the store. The management here is totally aloof. That's a hard pill to swallow and won't sit well, but if they don't wise up this is one store that won't survive. read more

I have shopped here since it has opened .I have not had problems before but lately I have noticed errors in my bill and I have gone to customer service right away and gotten my refund. I do not understand how the error is made if your computer system is fed the right pricing ,I was told that the cashier put in the wrong code .How can one item have 2 different code especially pomegranate. The deli always gives you more than what you asked for and this happens almost all grocery stores .They advertise one price and then charge you higher than price one the shelves and the flyers.
