This is such a cute little neighborhood salon on a quaint stretch of Magnolia. Natalie has cut and colored my hair for about 5 years. I followed her here from her previous salon because she's worth it. She's especially amazing with color, including creative color. I get my color and Brazilian Blowout from Laurie Jones. She's absolutely fantastic. I've been getting Brazilians for a few years. Laurie does the best Brazilian I've ever had. She consistently does a great job with my hair. Most importantly, my Brazilian lasts when Laurie does it. I've had stylists at other places do my Brazilian and it doesn't last that long. Not the case with Laurie. I can maintain my Brazilian very well in between appointments because Laurie does such a good job. Laurie is professional and really knows what she's doing. I never have to worry about what my hair is going to look like when I sit in Laurie's chair because I know I'm in good hands. I'm a woman of color. I have had stylists at other salons in the past sometimes act as if they didn't want to do my hair but would do it anyway. I have never, not once, felt that way with Laurie. She was great from the very first time I met her and got my hair done by her. My hair is doing better with Laurie than it has with other stylists in the past. I highly recommend Laurie Jones. Laurie Jones is the hair whisperer. When we met, I had bleached my own roots to the high heavens using box dye from CVS, and without judging she brought it back to life in one go. I was sold forever. Seeing Laurie is like having a hair life coach. We work on color and growth goals over time, she recommends brushes, products, and supplements that have changed my game, we do highlights, lowlights, brazilian blowouts, toners, glosses, anything your heart could desire. She turned me on to the Mason Pearson brush and will do things like shoot me links when GHDs are on sale and she knows I want a new straightener. Every time she makes a recommendation I say "yes hair grandmaster" and she performs some wizardy that makes my locks better and stronger. My hair has never looked as good as it does since I started with LJ. Needless to say, I'm off the box bleach for good. read more
