I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt people should see what $110 got me here. I had to stop the service mid-appointment because basic nail prep was not being done. I work with my hands for a living, and my nails genuinely needed proper cleaning and prep before tips were applied. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly ask for basic prep work while being made to feel uncomfortable for speaking up. The tips were then applied with excessive glue/product underneath the nails, leaving thick chunks underneath that make the nails difficult to properly clean. When I expressed concern, I was told the glue "had to be there" to make the nails strong. I have been getting my nails done for decades and have never had a technician argue with me for not wanting large globs of hardened glue underneath my nails. When I said I wanted to stop the service, I was told "let me fix it," but the issues were never actually corrected. The nail lengths and shapes were inconsistent, the filing/shaping was uneven, and there were visible imperfections, debris, and rough edges throughout the work. I also had concerns about sanitation. The UV lamp being used appeared dirty and damaged, and the drill/e-file bits looked visibly unclean between clients, which made me increasingly uncomfortable during the appointment. Visited: 1/29/26 Shannon was an incredible hairstylist and host. She made me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived and took great care to give me exactly the haircut I wanted. She paid close attention to every detail, especially my request to retain length, and was always transparent about how much she was cutting, which I really appreciated. She was also so easy to talk to and incredibly thoughtful, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable, whether that meant offering coffee or water or making sure nothing hurt. Her scalp massage while washing my hair felt heavenly and truly elevated the experience, making it feel so luxurious. In addition to her amazing work, the location itself was beautiful, clean, and such a lovely space to be in, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely loved my haircut, and Shannon made me feel beautiful not only through the cut itself but also through her kind compliments and care throughout the appointment. I went to a stylist at this salon to add dimension to my blonde hair and lighten my roots. I had previously spent $1,200 getting my hair blonde, so I was very clear that I didn't want a full head of brown hair. Unfortunately, my hair was made much much darker than what I asked for, and my roots were not lightened. I told her she does great work but wasn't what I requested. She told me she would fix it. She provided a few dates that conflicted due to the holidays, and after that she ghosted me. I continued reaching out for three months asking for availability, but received no response, even after offering to pay again to correct my hair. She read the messages and still did not respond. I understand businesses can refuse service to anyone, but I was nothing but kind and respectful. I also never requested anything for free. I paid full price and tipped, so the lack of follow through and communication has been very disappointing. It's unfortunate having to find a new hair stylist. Being ghosted by my stylist made me feel like I was not a priority as a client, and that my time and business were not valued. read more

The location is nice. The people are friendly. However I did not have a good experience here. The hair washing was painful, nails raking across my scalp painful. I said I didn't want my hair straightened. The hair dresser, Annie, said she "had to". But I don't straighten my hair on a day to day basis so whatever cut she gave me is now totally different after one wash and it's now much shorter than I wanted. I chose this place because it was closer to home and I even saw good reviews for the person I booked. That was a mistake. Good thing hair grows back. First I want to mention that I was specifically looking at pictures from their Yelp page and Instagram page (even individual hairstylist IG) to make an informed decision about what hair salon I'd be choosing. I was looking for pictures of brunettes and their finished look and any salons with too many pictures of blonde dos were out for me because I was not looking for a blonde look. I made an appointment through Yelp. Michael responded same day within an hour or two. He helped set up my appointment with Annie and informed me they normally call the day before the appointment date to confirm. I arrived at the salon and was greeted right away. Annie was ready for me and we discussed what I was looking for: maybe all over color, something lighter than my dark hair, maybe lowlights and some layers. Annie is very friendly and approachable. I can't recommend Erica enough! My first experience with her was a couple years ago, when I went in for a cut and color. My hair was fried from doing way too much to it over the span of many years, and she strongly advised me against coloring it. I agreed, she gave me a great cut, and recommended a product line that would help my damaged hair. I went out and bought it, and it made such a huge difference that I ended up growing out my hair for over two years. Fast forward to about a month ago, and my hair was extremely long, all virgin, and I wanted to finally get it colored. I jumped the gun and went to different Burbank salon because De Cielo wasn't open yet (huge mistake) and they completely butchered my hair. I made a color correction appointment with Erica a couple weeks later, and she did an AMAZING job. I've never had my hair turn out EXACTLY the way I wanted it until now. It sucks I had to get it fixed, but Erica was able to get it to where I wanted it to be with minimal damage. She turned terrible stripey highlights into the perfect balayage/color melt I originally wanted - and got the tone I was going for exactly right as well. She really takes the time to talk with you and understand exactly what you want so your hair comes out perfect - I can't repeat enough how happy I am with the way it came out and I'll be going to Erica for the foreseeable future for all of my hair needs. read more

Finally got the time to do something nice for myself being a busy mom. Felt I deserved a little time to pamper and treat myself so I decided to go with a balayage at De Cielo Salon. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and nice and I understand that the balayage is a process and takes a lot of time however I was there for about 5.5 hours and paid $400 for the balayage service with Annie and the outcome was not good. When straightened it hides all the flaws and although the color for the most part is pretty, it's not even and it's lighter than what I had asked for. There are thicker chunks of blonde in the front. I initially wanted to keep my dark hair and add blonde to it. To have it blend in but it's too light and I have a cheetah patch on one side which leaves me extremely heartbroken to have spent so much money and time on my hair and not get the results I wanted. Now my hair is damaged, uneven, patchy and fried. Afraid to get it fixed with the state that my hair is in as of right now. UPDATE: The owner reached out and offered to have me meet with a different stylist to correct the issues. Met with Daniel and he was able to fix the areas and tone down the blonde. Michael was also kind enough to provide me with a product to help condition and smooth my hair texture. Happy that the salon took the time to reach out and help correct the issues. read more

After waiting to cut my hair for over a year due to the quarantine, and trying to get rid off my pony tail. She chopped my hair off.
