Came in for a color and haircut and honestly left very happy. The stylist took time to really look at my hair, explain what was realistic, and didn't overpromise. The color came out even, natural, and exactly the tone we discussed, no surprises. The cut was clean and well-shaped, not rushed, and it actually grew out nicely instead of only looking good the first day. DO NOT GO!! Worst salon experience of my life. They turned my highlights the completely wrong color.. I'm blonde and I left brunette... When I politely asked for a correction, they threatened and cussed me out instead of helping. They even got product in my eye, which is still irritated. The salon was dirty, and my boyfriend and I should've known something was wrong the moment we walked in and saw a client with a Best Buy bag wrapped around their head. I model, and I didn't even want to take a picture of my hair because I hate how it turned out. My hair feels brittle and dry, like they didn't use conditioner at all. I've been getting highlights for over 10 years and have never experienced anything like this. Even though I came in on a Groupon, I offered to pay them directly so they wouldn't lose any money, and they were still genuinely terrifying. They refused to fix anything and only yelled at me. DO NOT GO. This was truly the most horrifying salon visit I've ever had. read more

I visited this salon in Burbank and now I am coming here every 6-8 weeks. Adrineh, the colorist, is exceptionally skilled and professional. Elvin is excellent at haircutting. Their work is comparable to what you would expect from high-end salons in Beverly Hills or Central Park Manhattan, but at a much more affordable price. read more

This was absolutely the worst job I have ever had on my hair. I asked for a refund and was told "we did nothing wrong." I asked for a balayage and provided photos of me with a balayage. I was told they could do it. She clearly didn't know what it was nor did the brassy color come anywhere near the photo I provided. They did a very hasty brush out and "blow job" just to attempt to hide the horrible job they did. The shampoo was a cheap suave or something similar. ( from their old branch in San Fernando Blvd. also in Burbank) I have known Elvin, Adrineh, Hermineh & their family for so many years that I wouldn't think of coming elsewhere for my hair needs. First, I was just satisfied with how they did their work since I noticed how they were dedicated, & how they strived to make the customers' requests, but eventually through the long years, I really saw & realized that they were more than that. They are decent, good people with the biggest hearts. They do their jobs honestly, they are professionals & that they are knowledgeable in their field of experts. They have not just been my 'go to hairdressers' but they have really become my treasured family friends. Not to mention, that they do the best color & highlights here plus they can do the trendiest haircuts ( both for women & men) & they are people whom you would want to keep coming back to. I can't judge them on their hairstylist abilities because I had to leave their salon with tangled wet hair. They were nice women(in that fake smile way). They made sure to tell me they weren't specialized in my kind of hair and when trying to comb my hair savagely with the tight teeth side of a hair cutting comb(I'm a cosmetologist myself) they said it's because my hair is "too hard" to do. I'm a black woman with relaxed hair so my hair is definitely manageable. They panicked in a way that I've never experienced. I couldn't even get half way through the service before I decided we should just cancel the appointment. I've never experienced this before and I'm still shaking because of it. They should put a disclaimer: Unable to do ethnic hair. It's also a hole in the wall salon in Burbank so I guess I should've known better. I chose to be optimistic. read more

Hate to leave this review because they were very nice, but...my hair does not resemble what I asked for or the photo I showed. It's much shorter than requested. I asked for 4" off and she cut of 6-7". Very unhappy with how it looks, and there's nothing to be done because I'm not willing to go any shorter. Will take at least a few months to be where I want it length-wise. *sigh* Also, the price was WAY high. The sign outside says women's cuts start at $25. Somehow mine was $45. Ok, now that I'm home and can see that the regular price for a women's haircut is actually $30 I am pretty steamed that I was ripped off an extra $10. I was hoping to make this my one-stop-shop for regular cuts. Guess I'll have to keep looking. I have short hair. The cut took maybe 20 minutes. No shampoo or conditioning. When I questioned why the haircut was $40 she told me it was the style I chose and brought it down to 30...but the place was so dead and she did a good job so I gave her the $40 anyway. Whatever. The other place gave me choppy uneven layers and the lady here blended them really nicely without taking any length off.
