Lala is so talented and accommodating. I was looking to get my hair styled for a wedding and she was able to schedule me that same week for Saturday morning. I told her my dilemmas with my hair and showed some inspiration photos. She suggested I add some layers to the front of my hair to achieve the look I wanted, so I took her advice and got a quick cut too! She styled it with a blow dryer and I was out of there within an hour. I would definitely come back here again. read more

Tati is amazing. She gave me my first lash lift and does everything to make you feel comfortable. The salon is super cute and she even has pink spoolies! I'm enjoying my "new" lashes as I sip at cocktail hour. The only complaint I have is the music got stuck on repeat and so I heard a cover of Amy Winehouse one too many times. She and I were both going "back to black". All in all, a place I will frequent if I need another lift! Thanks Tati :) read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR HAIRCUTS. I was a walk in client and got my hair cut by the owner's mom. I specifically said "I wanted just a trim, no more than an inch." What I came out with was 3 inches gone, extremely blunt layers and a blunt cut (see photos). When I asked the stylist if she could blend the layers, she said "Oh no, you don't want to make this any shorter." I knew I was at the wrong place and left. A week later went to another salon to see if they could fix the issues, and they pointed out the following: 1) the layers were not blended at all 2) my hair was not cut at the same length. Left side was 1/2" longer than the right 3) the face framing that was done to my hair was cut so far back, that it created this blocked look 4) the other salon said, verbatim "It looks like this woman did 3 hair cuts to your hair" It takes years for my hair to grow, so I am really upset, and it doesn't style the same anymore. Just avoid this place. read more

Definitely recommend Maga from this salon! I needed color and cut, and wanted to go lighter. I'm so glad I got it done with her because Maga is a blonde genius! After a thorough consultation, she began working efficiently, but didn't rush through. You could tell she knows what she is doing, and I trusted her completely. She takes pride in her work and makes sure you are 100% happy with the result. She is also super pleasant to talk to and you could tell she loves what she does. A cute and friendly salon in Burbank next to Glendale! I was overdue for a haircut so decided to see what was nearby with good reviews and found Valanciaga. Angineh paid close attention to details and did a nice job cutting a few inches off as well as adding more face framing layers and layers in the back. The salon is clean and adhered to social distancing, with upscale decor and natural light. I think they may have a few parking spots on the side of the building, but I easily found free street parking in the residential area on San Jose. If you frequent the Burbank media center area or live nearby, definitely check them out for your new neighborhood hair salon. read more

Went in to for a Brazilian blow out and it was done poorly. My hair is still frizzy and it has dents as if it was tied back during the process but it was not. I contacted the salon and they are unresponsive. This is an expensive service therefore I expected better quality. read more

I have been Lala's client for about for 4 years. She has done brazilian blowout, highlights, balyage, brushlight on my hair over the years with excellent results. Lala has an amazing eye for detail, precise and is talented. She listens to your needs and gives her input and creates gorgeous hair. I have not had a single split end, color fading to orange complaint ever since I have been coming here. My hair is healthy and color is beautiful. I get compliments all the time. It is very rare to find a hair stylist so passionate about her art and also who has a vision and ever changing concept of her business that makes Valanciaga to stand out among the others. This place is just as great as 5 stars gets!! From the moment you walk in, you're transported to this calm, relaxing oasis and know you're in for a treat as you pamper yourself for the day. The decor in this place is absolutely adorable and is so warm and welcoming - you feel right at home. Lala is incredible and knows what she's doing. I sat down and told her to work her magic. She took a look and then got right down to it. I am so in love with this new haircut! Short and simple , and just what I wanted! Lala and her team are simply exceptional. I go to Lala for regular maintenance and care of my hair, but she also did my hair for my bridal shower and for my wedding day. She was thoughtful every step of the way to help me come up with multiple looks, which we tested to come up with the final choices (she made it possible for me to have two different looks on my wedding day)! Her make up artist Elizabeth is also incredible and very sweet. I am someone who has hated getting my make up professionally done, but loved Elizabeth's work. I won't ever go to anyone else. The salon is truly the best around and I recommend them to all brides to be, but also anyone in need of reliable and professional hair care and make up needs. This was my first time getting micro needling on my face and I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Tatev is so comforting. I felt much at ease with her technique and her numbing cream. I was so happy with the results that I returned 2 weeks later to get my hands micro needled as well. Seeing the process on one's hands can be a daunting experience, but Tatev makes sure you're comfortable, well numbed and distracted with pleasant conversations. She's just wonderful! read more

My sister got her hair dyed by Lala and I loved how her hair turned out, so I decided to make an appointment for myself. Initially I wanted to just go a little lighter because I thought that it wouldn't be possible to get my hair as light as my sister's, because my hair was much darker. When LaLa saw my hair she let me know that I could go much lighter than what I had originally planned. She explained that it's not always about how dark the hair is but about the texture of the hair and what type of hair dye was used. It took her about 6 hours to lighten up my hair, but it was totally worth it! I was truly shocked to see how light she was able to get my hair. I also would like to mention that she does a wonderful job blowdrying. I paid her $250 including tip, which I feel was a fair price for all the work she did. I've received so many compliments! This is one of the very best spa and beauty salons I've been to. The owner and her mom transformed my hair from a disaster hair color situation my hair recently experienced. They lifted the awful dark color out with tender loving care checking on it every few minutes. The owner came back in to do her magic: highlights and a new honeyed chestnut that transformed my entire face, lifting it into a state of joy! I honestly look 15 years younger! I am so grateful for the artistry, love and care they took with me. They even served delicious Armenian coffee with chocolate. I absolutely love this place!! It is so chic and beautiful. I got my eyebrows done by Tatti and I'm more than happy with them. If you are interested in permanent make up that you are thankful you invested in, Tatti is your girl!! I am so grateful that every morning, I spend no more than 5 minutes on my makeup because I wake up with beautiful eyebrows. If time is money, then in the long run I have saved a fortune by having Tatti do my permanent make-up. She is knowledgeable about her craft, as well as attentive about what vision you have for your look, so that you leave with beautiful results. I am so particular about who does my hair, so much so that I paid for my former stylist to come to my destination wedding in the Caribbean to do my hair. Now that I've moved to California, I have searched for over a year to find someone I can trust again, and I found it with Lala! She really knows what she's doing, doesn't rush her art, and is real (a gem in the LA area). I had long hair since last year but it was my dream to have bobcat haircut but it was so risky because.......... Curly frizzy hair . One of my friends recommended Lala for Brazilian blow out and that was the only option that I had So I can get my dream haircut I decided to go . This girl is amazing super friendly , knowledgeable, very patient . The salon was super clean everything was shining , organized. So I had my consult with her and she said let me do it and I promise you that you never go back to long her . Up to this date I had 4 bobcats haircuts with her and every time I'm going shorter and shorter . Lovely Hairsalon, my favourite in Burbank CA. I booked an appointment last minute and they were able to accommodate me and my time schedule right before my sisters wedding I was a bridesmaid. It's hard to find a good place for waxing and I cant say enough positive things about my experiences here. Cece their waxing specialist is very professional and personable, she truly cares about her clients. Highly recommend, for waxing, Cece really made sure that she got all the hair and somehow managed to make it all pretty much painless. I can sometimes feel quite shy with someone new waxing, but she was really professional and also relaxed. I will be returning to Valanciaga again to book my next waxing session! read more

I am in LOVE with this salon!!! Lala is like a jack of all trades . She can do hair , eyebrow threading , they have facials , you can book your make up there it's all there . She's so down to earth , friendly , sweet , accommodating and there's parking next door next to the market and it's free . There's always nice music playing in the background and it's super clean and did I mention she's amazing with hair. She's taken me from jet black hair to red and again from jet black to this color I have now and has kept my hair so healthy! I will refer all my family and friends to her and will never stray . Believe me when I say this, this is the best salon ever! I have been getting blowouts with the owner, Lala, twice a week for over a year now and she is the bets hair stylist. Lala does it all, she does color, blowouts, cuts, hair treatments- everything! She is the best and her salon is the cutest as well! Personally, I'm picky with who I go to get my haircut with. Too often do hair stylists mess up my hair. I found this place through yelp and the great reviews convinced me to give it a try. The salon is nice and clean, which of course is important. Lala is really great! She was super nice and most importantly, she was asking exactly what I want done to my hair and was honest about the condition of my hair. I recommend this place and will be returning! read more

I found amazing reviews on Michelle and reached out. We had a FaceTime call first (she was going out of town) so she could see what needed to be fixed and I was able to hear what her plan would be to correct it. I loved it! I was on board and booked my appointment with her. The day of I sat in her chair and she proceeds to put her hands through my hair ... "ohhh yeahhhhh". We talked about the plan, she told me the steps she was going to do and proceeded to gingerly cut away. I also got a shampoo and blow-dry with my haircut. Loved that nice touch on massage! She left me looking 10/10 when she was done! She was so gracious telling me if there is something that needed to be fixed to let her know and she'd do what she could to get me in. I did make one quick trip back but that was not to her fault. We knew that we were going to have to do a grow out to really correct the issue since we are trying to save some length. I am that girl that either doesn't brush her hair in the morning (true story) and just makes sure it's laying nice by running some pomade over flyaways because I do not like using heat! OR I take 5 minutes and use that round brush blowdryer (get you one! so fast!) and the picture I posted was that day. I'm very happy with the results. She had alot to fix and she delivered! Coincidentally my aunt went to another butcher, I mean barber, I mean stylist and was in the same situation. I immediately sent her Michelle's info and she booked an appt. I work with my hands for a living, and my nails genuinely needed proper cleaning and prep before tips were applied. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly ask for basic prep work while being made to feel uncomfortable for speaking up. The tips were then applied with excessive glue/product underneath the nails, leaving thick chunks underneath that make the nails difficult to properly clean. When I expressed concern, I was told the glue "had to be there" to make the nails strong. I have been getting my nails done for decades and have never had a technician argue with me for not wanting large globs of hardened glue underneath my nails. When I said I wanted to stop the service, I was told "let me fix it," but the issues were never actually corrected. The nail lengths and shapes were inconsistent, the filing/shaping was uneven, and there were visible imperfections, debris, and rough edges throughout the work. I also had concerns about sanitation. The UV lamp being used appeared dirty and damaged, and the drill/e-file bits looked visibly unclean between clients, which made me increasingly uncomfortable during the appointment. I want to share my full experience at Glamourax because while some things were amazing, there were…read morealso challenges with my hair appointment that other clients should know about. I had an appointment on Saturday at Glamourax for hair and makeup before a gala. I was scheduled for 12:30pm for Hollywood waves and makeup. When I originally scheduled my appointment, there was a text exchange with Arax (the manager/owner) where she told me, "The girl who's really good at it is available at 12:30." She also confirmed that Sonna would be my hairstylist. Because of that, I felt confident booking the appointment and trusted I would be getting the Hollywood waves style I requested. For transparency, I will be attaching screenshots of the text messages from when the appointment was scheduled. When I arrived, Sonna was very sweet and kind. I showed her a photo of the Hollywood waves I wanted and trusted that she knew how to achieve that style. During the process there was a lot of hairspray and heat while curling, but I didn't question it because another client next to me was also getting Hollywood waves by a different stylist and her hair looked beautiful, so I assumed everything was going as expected. Unfortunately, when my hair was finished it looked like tight curls everywhere and nothing like the Hollywood waves in the photo I showed. For reference, my hair is medium length, a little past my shoulders, and the tight curls made it appear much shorter than it actually is. Sonna tried brushing the curls out after I mentioned a concern, but it still didn't resemble the style I had asked for. I was then moved to makeup, and I have to say the makeup artist Supo was AMAZING. She checked in with me during every step, asked if I liked what she was doing, and had me look in the mirror throughout the process to make sure I approved. I absolutely loved my makeup and would happily go back to her again if I ever need my makeup done. I left the salon feeling confused and unhappy about my hair, especially since I was getting ready for a gala. I'm not great with confrontation and didn't want to offend Sonna because she was genuinely kind, so I didn't speak up as much as I probably should have in the moment. After I left, I decided to call and see if anything could be done. Arax called me back quickly and was very responsive. I explained that it wasn't about a refund -- I just needed my hair fixed before my event that evening. She tried to see if anyone was available and even offered to pay for me to go somewhere else when the salon was fully booked, which I appreciated. Eventually they were able to have me come back in and two stylists helped me redo my hair. They were very kind and did their best to help on short notice. I ended up with beach waves instead of Hollywood waves, but it looked much better and I was grateful they made the effort to help before my event. While I was there the second time, one stylist sitting behind me seemed visibly frustrated and was staring at me throughout the appointment, which made the situation feel a bit uncomfortable. However, the two stylists who helped redo my hair were kind and professional, and I appreciated them taking the time to help. I also want to mention that Arax was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the whole process. She continued texting with me even after I left the salon the second time to check in and make sure everything turned out okay. I even sent her photos of my final look because I was happy with how everything came together in the end. That level of care and follow-up meant a lot. The salon itself has a really fun atmosphere, it honestly felt like being part of a big glam party while everyone was getting ready, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. My only recommendation would be to make sure the stylist assigned is comfortable with the specific style you're requesting. Since I had been told the stylist was "really good" at Hollywood waves, I had high expectations and was excited for that look for the gala. Overall, I appreciated Arax trying to make things right and I truly loved the makeup Supo did. I just wish the hairstyle I originally requested had been achieved.
